Speaking to the “Relatable” podcast on Friday, Lynsi Snyder shared her plans for her family and the future of In-N-Out.
She revealed that she is leaving the state of California and is moving to Tennessee with her four kids.
It comes as the chain consolidates its business efforts in the California area.
This precedes the company’s move into its new headquarters next year, located in Franklin, Nashville, Tennessee.
In-N-Out is currently working to phase out its headquarters in Irvine by 2030.
Snyder highlighted many reasons for the move, namely COVID-era business restrictions like mask mandates and vaccine requirements.
In 2021, health officials temporarily shut down several In-N-Out locations in California.
This was because the chain refused to require proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
She said: “There’s a lot of great things about California, but raising a family is not easy here. Doing business is not easy here.
“Now the bulk of our stores are still going to be here in California, but it will be wonderful having an office out there, growing out there, and being able to have the family and other people’s families out there.
“No. 1 priority is really keeping the company the same company that my grandparents started
“We don’t want to be in every state, and we don’t want to ever compromise our values and standards and the cornerstones that my grandparents laid down, so it’s really just keeping those priorities at the forefront when we make decisions.”
WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS
In-N-Out plans to expand its footprint in Tennessee as it moves its base of operations there.
However, it has no plans to move into other East Coast locations, like Florida.
