30 ROCK star John Lutz has revealed the sudden death of his younger brother, and has shared an emotional tribute and selection of snaps.
The 52-year-old Saturday Night Live alum has said that he is “devastated and heartbroken” after his brother Joel passed away.

Joel, who was two years younger than John suddenly died, leaving his family saddened.
He was 50 years old and lived in North Carolina.
“This is my brother Joel,” John penned on his Instagram story alongside a snap of him.
“He unexpectedly passed away on Thursday.
“A GoFundMe has been set up to help his wife and four children.
“Please give or share to help them through this difficult time,” he concluded.
Then, in the caption of a tribute post he shared, John opened up about his brother’s passing and how he feels.
“My younger brother Joel passed away suddenly this past Thursday.
“My family and I are heartbroken.
“He was a funny, compassionate, and loving person.
“There are so many other things that I want to say about him, but right now I am too devastated to continue typing. I love you Joel,” he concluded.
The GoFundMe which has been set up to raise funds for the Lutz family, which has raised over $26,000, features an obituary for Joel.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of Joel Daniel Lutz, who leaves behind a beloved wife and four adored children,” the fundraiser begins.
“Joel was a humble servant of our Mighty King.
Joel will be deeply missed.

“Today Joel is sitting around the throne of Jesus with brother’s and sister’s of every nation, tribe and tongue – fulfilling the mission God gave him on earth. He will be missed,” it added.
The fundraiser explained how in his initial career, Joel was a successful electrical engineer working for automobile companies around the world.
He worked in Michigan, South Korea, China, Ohio and Germany.
Joel also fostered the inclusion of lay-people in international faith-based communities.
Concluding the message on the fundraising page, it read: “Joel will be deeply missed by his wife Jenni; and his four treasured children, twins Ellery and Rhea, Zoe, and Josiah.
“His parents, Pastor Michael and Elizabeth Lutz; and his siblings John, Jeremy, and Jaime and their families, as well as countless friends and colleagues”.
They then stated how the funds raised “will be used for funeral costs and the immediate and ongoing support of his wife and children”.
