THE cause of Anne Burrell’s death has been revealed after her sudden death at 55.
Anne, who was known for her work on the Food Network channel, was found unresponsive at her home in Brooklyn, New York on the morning of June 17.

Now, People has revealed Anne’s death was ruled a suicide.
NYPD confirmed to The U.S. Sun that they received a 911 call on Tuesday at 7:50am to an “aided female” inside the residence and upon arrival found a 55-year-old “unconscious.”
The NYPD told The U.S. Sun: “She was pronounced dead at the scene.”
An autopsy has now been carried out.
‘GREAT SPIRITS’
Just hours before her death, she performed improv comedy on Monday night at The Second City New York in her native Brooklyn.
“She was in great spirits last night during and after the improv show. Typical fun, outgoing Anne, having a blast,” a source told People.
A few days before her sudden passing, she smiled with a friend in a a photo she posted to Instagram.
Anne was best known for appearances on the Food Network, and she was a long-time host of The Worst Cooks in America.
“Anne was a beloved wife, sister, daughter, stepmother, and friend — her smile lit up every room she entered,” her family said in a statement.
“Anne’s light radiated far beyond those she knew, touching millions across the world.
“Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, spirit, and boundless love remain eternal.”
Anne was married to Stuart Claxton, who she wed in 2021 after the pair met on the dating app Bumble.
Anne’s first Food Network stint was on Iron Chef America in 2005.
Her series titled Secrets of a Restaurant Chef then debuted in 2008.
In 2010, she made a name for herself on Worst Cooks In America.

Fans quickly flooded the comments section of her final post when her death was revealed.
“Rip Anne. You brought so much light to Food Network. Worst Cooks is still one of my favorite shows,” said one.
“Prayers for your family. This feels so unexpected. You were always one of our all time favorite chefs and seemed like a great person! I’m sure you’ll be missed by many,” penned a second.
“I am beyond devastated. May you rest in eternal peace,” added a third.
