Indiana Fever fans amazed by WNBA team’s Stranger Things collaboration – ‘whole campaign is fire’

THE Indiana Fever are returning to the Upside Down ahead of the final season of Netflix’s hit show Stranger Things returning in November.

The hit show is set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, making the Fever a perfect pairing for the special Nike Rebel Edition jersey.

The limited-edition jerseyon sale now – reimagines the Fever’s classic look.

The style has a dark, nostalgic twist featuring eerie red and black hues – in line with the distinct font of the Emmy-winning show.

Fans went wild for the Demogorgon claw accents, and “011” on the waistband, referencing the series’ beloved character, Eleven – played by actress Millie Bobby Brown.

As the series is set in the 80s, the entire collection has a described  “retro” aesthetic.

In addition to the jerseys, a full collection of fan gear is available for purchase starting July 23 in their web store.

The collection also includes hoodies, hats, and several pieces by sports lifestyle brand Round21.

And the fresh look brought the Fever some luck on Thursday night, after they beat the Las Vegas Aces 80-70 while debuting the new uniform at home.

And fans were left amazed by the shock collaboration, with Caitlin Clark taking centre stage in the promotion video.

One wrote: “👀 I can’t lie this whole campaign is fire 🔥.”

A second said: “Please me point to the media team, they need a raise.”

A third added: “Flipped the script.”

While another supporter found a deeper meaning, writing: “This entire season has felt like The Upside Down.

“Almost nothing has felt right.”

One more chimed in: “This is so cool, admin team y’all killin’ it.”

But fans might NEVER see injured star player Clark take to the court in the jersey.

That’s because the Fever will also wear the jerseys during five more home games against the Phoenix Mercury, Chicago Sky, Dallas Wings, Seattle Storm, and Minnesota Lynx, plus one away game against the Los Angeles Sparks.

Clark is currently sidelined with a right groin issue, her third different soft tissue injury this season.

But the Ohio-state graduate did wear the limited edition hoodie while cheering on her team-mates from the bench at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

The superstar guard isn’t used to being in the treatment room as the 23-year-old had not missed a game due to injury since high school.

She was forced to pull out of the WNBA All-Star game and three-point contest- which was her first as team captain.

And Team Clark were beaten 151-131 by Team Collier, with Phoenix Mercury forward Satou Sabally also pulling out for Clark’s side.

The Fever sit sixth overall in the WNBA with a 13-12 record, with the top eight qualifying for the play offs.
