The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) forecasts significant rainfall in the northern and northeastern regions, impacting 36 provinces. Residents in these areas are advised to be vigilant against potential flash floods and landslides due to persistent heavy rain.

These conditions are attributed to the strong southwestern monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, coupled with a low-pressure area over northern Vietnam.

The TMD provides a 15-day weather forecast, highlighting the development of three tropical storms. In the upper Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, moderate sea conditions are anticipated, with waves reaching approximately 2 metres. Areas experiencing thunderstorms may see waves exceeding 2 metres.

In the lower Andaman Sea, waves are expected to reach 1-2 metres, with higher waves in stormy areas. Mariners are advised to navigate with caution and avoid areas with thunderstorms. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Koguma is moving south of Japan in the Pacific Ocean and is not expected to affect Thailand.
