NFL star Will Levis shows off gruesome shoulder ‘ball’ which needs urgent surgery and will force QB out for season

TENNESSEE Titans quarterback Will Levis is set to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.

Before he goes under the knife, Levis took to Instagram to show off his gruesome injury.

Levis revealed the extent of his injury to fans on social media[/caption]

In the Instagram post, Levis showed off a ball that appeared to be growing out of his right shoulder.

He didn’t clarify what the lump was, but it is likely related to an AC joint injury he suffered last season.

“Last night with this lil guy,” he captioned the post.

NFL fans were baffled by the ugly injury and shared their thoughts about it on social media.

“WTH is that,” one fan said.

“Kinda crazy its been like that and he just now is getting his surgery,” another fan said.

“My shoulder hurt just looking at that,” a third fan said.

“EEEEKKKK. That’s what nightmares are made of,” a fourth fan said.

“That looks painful,” a fifth fan said.

Levis first sustained his injury on September 30 while diving for a first down against the Miami Dolphins.

He hoped that rest and rehab would lead to his shoulder recovering, but felt discomfort during minicamp, according to ESPN.

Levis sought out more medical opinions before eventually settling on surgery.

While he was the Titans‘ starter last season, he was set to sit behind No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward this year.

That likely made the decision easier to go ahead with season-ending surgery.

“We support his decision to focus on his long-term health,” the Titans said in a statement.

“He approached the offseason with professionalism and showed clear growth as a leader.

“We remain confident in his full recovery.”

Brandon Allen is now the likely option to serve as the Titans’ backup quarterback in 2025.
