WALMART is set to rival Costco with the announcement of its version of an iconic food offering.

Very soon, Wienerschnitzel will be opening six locations inside of Walmarts across the US.
It will operate similarly to how chains like McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Subway have operated inside Walmarts.
The Wienerschnitzels will be coming to several major cities in the country.
These include:
- Puyallup, Washington
- Alamogordo, New Mexico
- Tempe, Arizona
- Reno, Nevada
- Colorado Springs, Colorado
- Bakersfield, California
The locations are expected to be ready to go by this fall.
Shak Turner, director of franchise expansion for Wienerschnitzel, said: “Wienerschnitzel has spent decades building a strong reputation, especially on the West Coast, and this expansion into Walmart stores signifies a new era of growth for the brand.

The Wienerschnitzel locations will all feature the brand’s full menu and will feature all of the iconic items fans love.

Wienerschnitzel has also just signed its first development deal along the East Coast of the US.

This will see the chain opening seven new restaurants in Norfolk and Richmond, Virginia.
The new locations will be overseen by Leon Dickey, a veteran franchisee.
He said: “Wienerschnitzel immediately stuck out to me for its unique positioning and operational efficiencies, and I knew I wanted to be the one to bring it to Virginia.
“The brand has an extremely loyal following out West, and I believe it’s perfectly poised to resonate with guests here as well.
“There’s nothing like it in the market—and I’m confident that the combination of craveable menu items and its scalable model will set us up for long-term success.
“I have no doubt this will lead to continued growth for Wienerschnitzel on the East Coast.”
There are not yet any opening dates for these locations.
