In the next 24 hours, upper Thailand is expected to have minimal rainfall due to a weakening southwesterly monsoon covering the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Additionally, a low-pressure area is situated over northern Vietnam and the Tonkin Gulf.
The Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand will experience weak wind and wave conditions, with waves reaching 1 to 2 metres. In thunderstorm areas, waves could exceed 2 metres. Mariners should be cautious and avoid sailing in thunderstorm-prone zones.
For the northern region, thunderstorms are forecasted for 20% of the area, mainly in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, and Tak provinces. Temperatures will range from 23°C to 37°C, with southwesterly winds blowing at 10 to 20 kilometres per hour.
In the northeastern region, 20% of the area may experience thunderstorms, particularly in Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Nakhon Phanom, Sisaket, and Ubon Ratchathani provinces. The temperature will vary between 24°C and 37°C, with southwesterly winds at 10 to 20 kilometres per hour.
The central region will also see thunderstorms in 20% of the area, notably in Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi provinces. Temperatures are expected to be between 24°C and 38°C, with southwesterly winds at 10 to 20 kilometres per hour.

Eastern Thailand is anticipated to have thunderstorms across 30% of the area, especially in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi, and Trat provinces. Temperatures will be between 26°C and 36°C, with southwesterly winds at speeds of 15 to 30 kilometres per hour. The sea will have waves around 1 metre in height, rising above 2 metres in thunderstorm areas.
In the southern region (eastern coast), thunderstorms are predicted for 40% of the area, mainly in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat provinces.
The temperature will range from 23°C to 36°C, with southwesterly winds at 15 to 30 kilometres per hour. Sea waves will be about 1 metre high, exceeding 2 metres in thunderstorm zones.
The southern region (western coast) will see thunderstorms in 40% of the area, particularly in Ranong, Phang Nga, Krabi, Trang, and Satun provinces. Temperatures are forecasted to range from 25°C to 36°C.
In areas from Phuket northwards, southwesterly winds will blow at 15 to 35 kilometres per hour, with sea waves of 1 to 2 metres, increasing above 2 metres in stormy weather. From Krabi southwards, southwesterly winds will be at 15 to 30 kilometres per hour, with sea waves approximately 1 metre high, reaching 1 to 2 metres in thunderstorm areas, reported KhaoSod.
Bangkok and its vicinity are expected to have thunderstorms in 30% of the area. Temperatures will range from 27°C to 37°C, with southwesterly winds at 10 to 20 kilometres per hour.
