THE CLEVELAND BROWNS have been clearing house ahead of the new NFL season.
But they have made one addition to their squad for the fast-approaching 2025 NFL season, which gets underway on September 5.

Wide receiver Winston Wright Jr has also been released[/caption]
Kevin Stefanski and the rest of the Browns brass have opted to part ways with fullback Troy Hairston and wide receiver Winston Wright.
The Browns have waived the pair’s respective contracts at Huntington Bank Field.
Hairston leaves the franchise less than seven months after signing a reserve/future contract.
His axing comes as a surprise as he was seemingly in line to become a starting fullback.
Wright, who was unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft, was signed by the Browns in July.
The latest addition to the Browns’ roster – which has come during pre-season training – has come in the form of offensive tackle T Kilian Zierer.
Zierer was snapped up by the Browns ONE DAY after his release from the Atlanta Falcons.
The Browns announced his arrival in the same statement they confirmed the departures of Hairston and Wright.

It read: “The Cleveland Browns have claimed T Kilian Zierer via waivers from Atlanta.
“In addition, the club has waived FB Troy Hairston and WR Winston Wright.
“Zierer (6-7, 312) is in his second NFL season out of Auburn.
“Originally signed by Houston as an undrafted free agent in 2023, Zierer spent last season on the Texans’ practice squad as part of the International Player Pathway Program. Zierer is a native of Munich, Germany.”
The Browns will be in pre-season action on Friday against the Carolina Panthers.
They’ll kick off their season on September 7 with a home game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
