Nineteen former Israeli military, intelligence and police chiefs warned that the Jewish state was “on the precipice of defeat” in Gaza, calling for an end to the war to save the hostages despite Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’ belief that only a full victory against Hamas can free the captives.
