NEW York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn sent a message to fans over the team’s brutal NFL playoff history, and, in recent memory, lack thereof.
Glenn is tasked with his first season as a head coach in the NFL in the upcoming 2025-26 campaign.

Glenn has returned to the Jets after being a star player for the franchise from 1994-2001[/caption]
The Jets hired Glenn in February after a drama-filled 5-12 season that saw Robert Saleh axed from his coaching duties five games into the campaign.
Gang Green released the icon Aaron Rodgers, who didn’t consistently display the talent that will make him a future first ballot Hall of Famer.
Glenn will look to turn around the fortunes of a Jets franchise that hasn’t made the playoffs since 2010 and experienced nine consecutive losing seasons.
But Glenn feels he can relate to the common Jets fan, as the former Pro Bowl cornerback was drafted by the team in the first round in the 1994 Draft.
“I know what it’s like to be a Jet,” Glenn told reporters, per The Post.
“I know the pain and all the things the fans have been through.
“I might have been gone from here, but I was never gone in spirit, so I get it.
“That sticks with me a ton. I understand the pain.
“I’m hoping, I’m praying, I expect to make the pain go away.
“I think about that every day.“
It wasn’t easy for Glenn as a Jets player early on in his career – the franchise went 10-38 in his first three seasons.
But he’d play under the iconic Bill Parcells in 1997 and watch the franchise transform from a team not to take seriously to a Super Bowl contender in two seasons.
Glenn would earn three Pro Bowl nods in his 14-year playing career, which ended in 2008.
Fast forward to 2016, and he’d become a defensive backs coach with the New Orleans Saints before earning the defensive coordinator job to help Dan Campbell turn around the Detroit Lions.

Glenn is known for his charismatic and fiery personality.
But the word “authentic” is how Glenn described himself on Wednesday.
And the word “Grind” was written on the back of his sweatshirt
Glenn helped the Jets earn a trip to the 1999 AFC Conference Championship game.
