It was a tight affair and Rodgers proved key as the Pittsburgh Steelers defense failed to impress, despite the 34-32 win.

However they held firm with just over a minute left in the game as the Jets failed to make the most of their final possession.

That only came about because the Steelers were forced to kick the winning field goal from 60 yards after a pass interference penalty had been called.

Rodgers believes the officials made the wrong decision and made his feelings known after the game.

He said: “We got hosed on a call there that would’ve made us able to run the clock out probably.

“Bos bailed us out with an amazing kick.

“So it was a good team win.”So it was a good team win.”

Rodgers’ comments will likely not be well received by the league, who could hand him a sanction.

The veteran is likely to be hit with a fine in the coming days.

Rodgers showed his true feelings towards the Jets after defeating them at MetLife Stadium.

After the game, the 41-year-old taunted the Jets fans.

As he left the field, Rodgers cupped his ears, goading the fans of his former team after they let him go in the offseason, video posted to X showed.

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn cut Rodgers because he didn’t believe the QB was right for the team.

And in the post-game press conference, Rodgers was asked about what the win meant.

While he didn’t specifically comment on the significance of beating his former coach, Rodgers did discuss the importance of beating the team.

“I was happy to beat everybody associated with the Jets,” he said.
