Aaron Rodgers orders Pittsburgh Steelers star to ‘get out of his own head’ after practice field concerns

AARON Rodgers offered some advice to one of his Pittsburgh Steelers star teammates who has appeared to be finding things tough during practice.

Steelers second-year wide receiver Roman Williams is preparing for his first full year of play after missing most of his rookie campaign due to a hamstring injury.

On Wednesday, Rodgers talked with reporters on numerous topics, including Wilson and his mindset for the upcoming season.

The four-time NFL MVP believes that Wilson’s biggest obstacle is simply himself.

“I need to get Roman out of his own head a bit,” Rodgers said, per 93.7 The Fan.

“He cares so much about whether it’s my approval or he’s doing it right.

“He’s just got to trust himself because he’s so damn talented.”

“The more he can play free, and not think out there, the better he’s going to play.”

Wilson only appeared in one game last season and didn’t record a single target.

Steelers fans should get to see plenty of the 2024 third-round pick in the team’s preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 9.

Rodgers hinted that he will likely not suit up for the contest.

But the 20-year vet insisted he’s “fully on board” if the team wants him to play in the preseason.

After the Jaguars game, Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh squad takes on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers in preseason games.

They’ll then begin the regular season at the New York Jets on September 7.

During the same Wednesday interviews, Rodgers also touched on rookie quarterback Will Howard’s hand injury.

Mason Rudolph or Skylar Thompson will be given the chance to start in the first preseason game.
