Aaron Rodgers snubs Ryan Clark at Pittsburgh Steelers practice after declining meeting with ESPN star as feud continues

AARON Rodgers’ move to the Pittsburgh Steelers continues to generate controversy as the 2025 NFL season nears.

The 41-year-old quarterback has moved on from the New York Jets after two years as he settles in with the Steelers.

Rodgers has publicly feuded with former Steelers safety Ryan Clark,
offering no hope of reconciliation.

In a recent visit to the Steelers’ practice facility, Clark was denied a
chance to make amends with the Super Bowl XLV winner.

Speaking on the Football America! show, Clark said, “I feel like there
were a lot of people excited to see me in camp, and then there was one, and it’s cool, though. It strangely enough made me respect him.

“I’m a part of the history there, he’s the quarterback with our team
now. I actually don’t dislike him.

“I want to sit with him, welcome him to Steeler nation, and just kind of have a conversation.

“I didn’t want to have a conversation about that. I wanted to talk about his career.”

Rodgers has signed a one-year $13.65 million contract with the Steelers ahead of the 2025 season.

Clark added, “He’s the best quarterback I ever played against. He had
other things to do.

“I respect it because he was like I’m not going to be fake.

“It set the tone that, hey, you and I don’t talk. When I was on the field, I had to say nothing to him, he didn’t say anything to me.

“But I did get a chuckle out of it.”

Rodgers was spotted training with Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger during the NFL preseason as he attempts to cement himself at the franchise.

His arrival in Pittsburgh has sparked conversations about whether Rodgers can still perform at the top level.

First Take’s Chris Canty has slammed the veteran, claiming he lacks
belief in Rodgers’ abilities.

But the NFL icon has little competition for a starting place as positional rival as Will Howard is a doubt for the start of the 2025 campaign.

He has been named as an injured reserve, with Skylar Thompson and the returning Mason Rudolph as the Steelers quarterback alternatives.

Significant changes have been made to the Steelers’ roster ahead of the upcoming season as they look to improve with a new spark in offence.

Wide receiver DJ Metcalf has been recruited to partner Rodgers after six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks.

Rodgers turned down an additional $13 million on his contract as he

Defeat against the Baltimore Ravens in the 2024 AFC wild-card play-offs marked the end of the Steelers season.

The 2025 season is expected to be Rodgers’ last before retirement as the Steelers open their campaign against the Jets on Sunday, September 7.
