THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS have been slammed by NFL fans for their new throwback jersey.
Mike Tomlin‘s team will be wearing a uniform inspired by the 1933 editions but will be matched with gold helmets.

The Steelers last wore the uniform back in the 1994 season.
The uniform features a yellow base with black stripes running down it.
The new edition will also feature the city crest and front number being flipped.
While the helmet is a matte gold colour and features a grey mask, which is said to “honor a combination of the Steelers’ uniform history with inspirations from the 1930s and 1960s”.
The Steelers have heralded the uniform as a “throwback” to their historical founding year.
It claims that it: “celebrates both the origins of the city and Steelers Football.”
The uniform will be worn for the first time in October.
The Steelers will take to the field wearing the jersey in Week 8 of the NFL season against the Green Bay Packers.
However, fans has slammed the jersey on social media following its release.
One posted: “These real ugly.”
A second commented: “One of the worst jersey designs I’ve ever seen wth.”
A third commented: “This is literally the worst jersey I have ever seen.”
A fourth said: “Absolutely hideous.”
Another added: “When you order your bumblebee steeler jersey off Temu.”
The Pittsburgh Steelers begin their pre-season against the Jacksonville Jaguars on August 10.
They then take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers before the start of the NFL season.
They will kickstart their 2025 campaign with a trip to New York to take on the Jets before hostin the Seattle Seahawks.
