SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Sioux Falls is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act. People are being treated to some live music at the Levitt with the first ADA Festival.
The event seeks to honor the history of disability rights, but for some, it helps build community.
“When I started my support group for ataxia, people just kind of came out of the woodwork, and I bet that will happen with events like this. Someone will say, ‘Oh my gosh, maybe I should get out there and say something.'” attendant Mary Beth Farley said.
The headline performance for the event is Johnny Wheels and the Swamp Donkeys at 8 p.m.
