Agastya Nanda is all set for his new film Ikkis, which narrates the story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and his unimaginable bravery. In front of the crowd present at Agenda Aaj Tak 2025, the actor opened up in a live session, talking about the martyred Arun Khetarpal, on whom his new film Ikkis is based.
Talking in front of the audience, Agastya said, “See, like we earlier said, nobody has thought that Arun Khetarpal will do something like this in the battle of war or in his life. He was given some special treatment so that he would record and give statements, because for everyone, he was just a young boy. But what he did made him a legend.”
Further, Agastya shared, “We didn’t have any solid reference; there were only letters. The letters that Arun sent to his father, and so we didn’t have anything solid. But only there was one dialogue that, and that was the only dialogue I had to get right, and it was a pressure.”
Agastya emphasized that he has to get that one dialogue right because whoever is from an army background remembers Arun’s statement, so doing this part right was very important. And now, when you see the film, you will get it if I did it right or not.
Ikkis is an upcoming Bollywood film based on the life of martyred 2nd Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. The film also marks late actor Dharmendra’s last film and is set to hit the theatres on Christmas 2025.
