The show’s first ever majorette dance team were electrifying as they thrilled judges with a performance to Chappell Roan’s HOT TO GO! and Black Eyed Peas’ Pump It.
When giving his feedback, Howie’s comments sparked debate among his fellow judges, and the audience in the studio, as well as viewers at home.
“I gotta be honest,” he began, saying, “If this was a cheerleading contest, that was really good and really well.
“I think this is so much more than that,” he added.
Howie then said, “And I think you’re gonna have a problem with all the talent that we have tonight.”
Mel B was first to react to Howie’s comments when she exclaimed, “WHAT?” before Sofia Vergara weighed in.

As the audience heavily booed, a very stunned Sofia asked, “Are you crazy?”
He then said, “It’s not up to me.”
Fans were as divided as the judges were and flocked to the AGT YouTube video of the performance to share their thoughts.
“This is the cheerleading team that I would pay to watch for 2-6 hours in Vegas,” swooned one person.
“PHENOMENAL LADIES !!!! WAY TO REPRESENT, PERFECT DANCE !!! PEOPLE VOTE,” said another.
A third then added, “Thank you, Howie for a dose of reality. Athletic? yes. Energy? yes.
“But so are other dance groups/teams. Did they stand out in some way? Maybe. Maybe not. We shall see.“
While a fourth slammed, “It was fun to watch but it is not a headlining act in Las Vegas.”

Sofia Vergara – On February 27, 2020, NBC revealed Sofia was replacing Gabrielle Union for AGT season 15.
Howie Mandel – Out of all the panelists, Howie Mandel is the longest-tenured judge on America’s Got Talent. Howie joined the hit reality series during the show’s 5th season, replacing David Hasselhoff.

Also during the quarterfinal episode, another dance act got everybody talking.
Simon Cowell was left totally stunned by one of the Unreal dance troop members’ back tattoos as they danced and showed off their flexibility.
Mid-performance, one of the dance troop members took off their shirt and revealed a huge back tattoo.
But the tattoo was not just any inking – it was instead a massive tatt of Simon’s face.
Covering every inch of the dancer’s back, the tattoo was of Simon’s head as he donned his signature orange-tinted sunglasses.
“A Simon back tattoo? Not creepy at all, am I right?” said one person on X, reacting to the moment.
