AMERICA’S Got Talent’s Howie Mandel has stunned fans with his unexpected NSFW remark toward his fellow judge, Sofia Vergara, live on-air.
The pair shared an awkward moment during Tuesday night’s quarterfinals show after witnessing a daring act on stage.

It happened at the start of the episode following aerial duo Jacqueline and Wagner’s gravity-defying performance.
As part of their act, the couple took their roller-skating stunts to a new level and soared through the air directly above judges Howie, Sofia, Simon Cowell, and Mel B.
This also included a dangerous move involving Jacqueline being swung around by her partner high in the air, only holding her bright red locks.
They pulled it off and delivered a showstopping performance that received praise from all four judges.
However, it also set up an unexpected exchange between Howie and Sofia that even caught Mel B off guard.

When Sofia mentioned the terrifying hair-flying moment, Howie jokingly said it was like “a date for you,” before covering his mouth.
The Modern Family star appeared to ignore the sexual remark, but Mel B didn’t, as she gave the comic a disgusted look and slapped him on the arm.
“What did Howie say about Sophia and the hair pulling?!?!?!” one person posted on X.
Others were also scratching their heads about the comment, considering it was on live TV.
Howie has toed the line with his jokes towards Sofia before, especially regarding her personal life.
During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Mark last February, the comic joked that he’s in Sofia’s corner after her split from her ex-husband, Joe Manganiello, while discussing the new spin-off series Deal or No Deal Island, which Joe hosts.
Howie previously hosted the original Deal or No Deal from 2005 to 2019; however, he stated that he wasn’t participating in the spin-off due to several factors, including his close friendship with the actress.
“Not every marriage lasts!” he concluded, referencing Sofia and Joe’s divorce in 2023.
The AGT judges’ banter appears to be all in good fun, but they’ve made it clear on the show that they’re not always in the same corner.

Simon Cowell – On October 22, 2015, it was revealed Simon was replacing Howard Stern on the AGT judges panel. He became a judge during the program’s 11th season and has since remained a series regular.
Mel B – In March 2013, Mel B was announced as Sharon Osbourne’s replacement on AGT. She remained on the show for five seasons before leaving in 2018. She made her grand return this year for season 20.
Sofia Vergara – On February 27, 2020, NBC revealed Sofia was replacing Gabrielle Union for AGT season 15.
Howie Mandel – Out of all the panelists, Howie Mandel is the longest-tenured judge on America’s Got Talent. Howie joined the hit reality series during the show’s 5th season, replacing David Hasselhoff.
During last week’s quarterfinals live show, Sofia snapped at Howie for harshly criticizing a child act, which she thought was considerably better than he gave them credit for.
Mel B also wasn’t pleased with Howie’s comments and backed Sofia in their brief on-air spat.
The audience heavily booed Howie, although the group, EDT Dance Team, ultimately went home during the results show the following night.
