ALDI is rebranding all of its private label products to include its company name or an “ALDI Original” endorsement.
This change will roll out across all of Aldi‘s stores in the US and will account for roughly 90% of its entire product lineup.

Bosses at Aldi have already confirmed that the change will take a few years to fully roll out, however.
Aldi‘s portfolio of private label brands includes Clancy’s, Simply Nature and Specially Selected.
Atty McGrath, Aldi CEO, said in a press release late last month that this change will modernize the shopping experience.
She said: “The new look and feel of our products is the next step in our journey to modernize our simpler, quicker shopping experience.
“Now, it’s easier than ever for shoppers to instantly spot the value and quality only ALDI can deliver.
“After nearly 50 years of setting the standard in private label, our updated packaging will give shoppers yet another reason to reach for our products first.”
McGrath only stepped into the role of CEO on September 1.
For its more well-known private label products, Aldi will simply add the endorsement instead of completely changing the product name.
But, the press release revealed that “Other items like ‘Red Bag Chicken’ will adopt shopper-given nicknames – a playful nod to show fans just how much ALDI values their opinion.”
NEW STORES
The private label change will also come to all of the new stores Aldi will open.
Aldi is aiming to open the highest number of stores it has ever done in the US in a single year.
By the end of 2025, Aldi is hoping to have opened 225 new locations.
Two of those new stores have opened on Thursday, October 2 in Surprise, Arizona and Milton, Florida.
Aldi opened a store in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on September 18, and a handful on September 25.
How many Aldi stores are there in the US?
AS of May 12, 2025, there are 2,510 Aldi stores operating across 41 states and territories in the United States.
Florida leads with 244 locations, followed by Illinois (215), Ohio (170).
In 2025, the company plans to open 225 new stores.
These stores were opened in Rainbow City, Alabama, Ridgeland, Mississippi, and in the Hammond and Sliddell areas of Louisiana.
STORE CONVERSIONS
Aldi is in the process of converting 220 stores from a deal made with the parent company of Winn-Dixe and Harveys Supermarkets by 2027.
In March 2024, Aldi made a deal to buy 400 stores from the shared parent company Southeastern Grocers.
Aldi is currently converting a Winn-Dixie store in St. Johns County, Florida, which is expected to be open in the next couple of months.
The chain is also working on another conversion in Ormond Beach, Florida, which will mark its second in the city.
Aldi recently announced that it was selling 170 of the 400 stores back to Southeastern Grocers, however.
The company revealed that it had done this so it could focus on the 220 it was already planning to convert.
Southeastern Grocers will continue to operate the 220 stores set aside while Aldi converts each one.
