The chain is considering 115 locations for new stores[/caption]

The chain is already one of the most popular supermarkets in the UK.

It has won the cheapest supermarket of 2024 award – with shoppers saving £393 at Aldi compared to Waitrose.

Lidl came in close second, costing just £1.19 more than its rival.

Now, Aldi is planning a major expansion across the country – eyeing locations in London, Manchester, the South West, Scotland and Wales.

On its website, the shop says it has earmarked 115 areas which it considers to be “prime” for new stores.

Some areas are even getting more than one location, with Aldi planning to open two stores in Wolverhampton and Sheffield.

In Leicester, the supermarket chain is looking to open a staggering four stores.

Aldi has gone viral several times in recent years, thanks to its huge range of low-cost goods.

The store’s giant octopus sprinkler costs just £19.99 and keeps your grass healthy, while giving it a vibrant touch.

Another water feature went viral online, with shoppers describing it as “beautiful”.

The solar bird bath has a stunning, painted design and comes in three incredible colours.

One shopper said: “Beautiful Solar Glass Bird Bath Range at ALDI.”

“Been and got mine today. It’s beautiful.”

On Aldi’s website, the store’s team say: “Make sure the birds have a stylish and safe space included in your garden this summer with this Solar Bird Bath.”

The chain’s camping gear is also a perennial favourite.

Aldi’s Premium Camping Storage Box costs just £6.99 and is perfect for transporting food and drinks whilst at a festival.
