MILLIONS of Americans are in line to receive a one-time payment worth up to $600.
The one-time checks will be landing in bank accounts and a $2.2 billion pot is funding the payments.

And, the initiative is set to benefit almost 3 million homeowners.
Payments on average will range from $350 to $600, but this only refers to the first tier of the relief program, according to the New York State.
The relief program is known as the School Tax Relief – STAR – and checks will be sent out across New York.
Americans who live in New York City, Buffalo and Syracuse may have already received their payment.
It should arrive by mid-July, according to the state.
But, some Americans will receive their check over the course of the summer and into the fall.
There is a strict eligibility criteria in order to get the payment.
Americans must own a home in New York and they must have an income of under $500,000.
There is another program, known as the Enhanced Star.
This is only reserved for senior citizens over the age of 65.
STAR recipients have the option of pocketing a physical check, or a paper copy.
Those who receive their payment as a direct deposit, the words New York State should appear on their bank statements.
Americans who don’t have a bank account can only receive paper checks.
OTHER PAYMENT PROGRAMS
New Yorkers are also in line to receive a $400 inflation-busting payment.
This payment is designed to offset the squeeze caused by the recent cost of living crisis.
Checks will be mailed to Americans from the middle of October.
And, there is no application process. That’s because checks are being sent automatically.
The payments are being provided to Americans who completed their New York Resident Income Tax Return.
Americans with a gross income of $75,000 or less are in line to receive a $200 check.
Taxpayers who earned $150,000 or less and filed joint tax returns are set to receive $400.
But, joint couples who earned more than $150,000 but less than $300,000 are in line to receive $300.
