ANDY Reid has claimed he is ready to be the bad guy over Travis Kelce’s playing time in 2025.
But the Kansas City Chiefs coach is confident his star tight end will be able to stay the course.

Kelce has been working hard to get in shape for another season at the age of 35[/caption]
Kelce, 35, is coming back for at least one more season.
He was disappointed with how the last campaign ended in a Super Bowl hammering by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kelce also recorded career lows in both yards and touchdowns.
But he is still a key part of the Chiefs offense.
Reid was asked about the 35-year-old’s impact and whether his workload would be reduced.
“I’m not really feeling that,” Reid said.
“It would be somewhere near last year I would imagine.
“He’s in great shape right now and looking forward to getting going.”
Kelce has shed pounds to get himself into top physical condition for a crack at reaching a fourth straight Super Bowl.
He also spoke during Super Bowl week about some changes he’s made to his diet.
“I always watch him and keep an eye on him,” Reid said.
“I know he’s getting older. He doesn’t know he’s getting older but I do.
“I can be the bad guy there in some cases if needed.
“If I think it’s catching up to him a little bit I’ll pull him off and put him where he needs to be.
“He hasn’t shown me any of that yet.

“He’s done really well.”
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was asked about Kelce’s future during OTAs last month.
“If it’s the last ride, you never know,” Mahomes declared.
“The way he’s talking about football, he’s trying to be even better than he was last year.
“He doesn’t seem like a guy who if it’s his last ride he’s tired of the job.
“He’s in there and he’s working.
“I know his body feels good, it feels better than even last year.
“He’s motivated to go out there and have an even better year than last.”
