Arabella Chi is brutally mum-shamed after sharing video of newborn daughter Gigi’s first photoshoot

ARABELLA Chi has been mum-shamed after sharing a video of herself and newborn daughter Gigi at their first joint photoshoot.

The 34-year-old former Love Islander gave birth to Gigi, her first child, at the end of May.

Following in the footsteps of countless celebrities, Arabella was signed up by OK! Magazine to pose with Gigi in their first-ever joint photoshoot.

And the proud mum took to Instagram to post a Reel of the photo session, as she opened up about becoming a mum for the first time.

“Being a mum, honestly, is probably the most rewarding thing I have ever achieved,” she smiled.

“I feel like it completes me.”

She called Gigi’s birth “the most magical day of my life”, and admitted she was “uncontrollably crying” as the tot was placed onto her chest.

Her other half Billy was also emotional, “welling up with tears” – which is a change for him.

And as well as having a “new level of respect” for Arabella going through the labour and delivery, he was also choked up after seeing his “baby daughter coming into the world”.

“He just melted,” she sighed.

In the video, Arabella was seen cradling her daughter for one of the snaps, but it was the baby’s position that sparked controversy among commenters.

As the baby didn’t have her head supported by her mum, who held her in the crook of her elbow.

“Well the first thing we’re told is HOLD THEIR HEAD…!!!!” one wrote.

“Hold her head up!” another shouted.

To which someone else tried to defend Arabella, as they insisted: “She knows what she doing!”

“Who is this?” another sighed.

Newborn babies are unable to support their own heads “because their motor skills aren’t developed and their neck muscles are weak”, the pros at BabyCenter.com explained.

“For the first few months, you’ll need to cradle your baby’s neck and head when you lift them, hold them, carry them, or put them down,” they added.

One of the ways you can help your tot is to ensure they have regular tummy time.

Other people in the comments section of the Reel attempted to stick up for Arabella.

“Bless, you could tell Arabella was nervous shooting this – she said honestly sooo many times,” one wrote.

“But respect for coming out of Love Island and choosing to settle down and have a family instead of the usual antics of the Islanders.”

“Wow congratulations so happy for you three,” another gushed.

“Awww congratulations she is beautiful, love her name,” a third commented.
