MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KELO) — The Minnesota Twins continued their trend of selling Thursday as they traded shortstop Carlos Correa to his former team, the Houston Astros.
The details of the trade have not yet be announced.
Correa is expected to become the third baseman for the Astros.
Carlos played seven seasons in Houston from 2015-2021. He then joined the Twins in 2022 and played three full seasons in the Twin Cities, before the trade Thursday.
Correa is hitting .267 this season with seven homeruns and 31 runs batted in.
He now joins the list of Twins to be traded, including closer Jhoan Duran, outfielder Harrison Bader, relief pitcher Brock Stewart and relief pitcher Danny Coulombe.
Coulombe was confirmed to be traded to the Rangers just minutes after the Carlos Correa deal.
