It makes Dejon the second Islander this series to have been quizzed by cops, after The Sun yesterday revealed Kyle Ashman was held over a machete attack.
Both were released with no further action.
ITV was aware of the incident with Dejon when he secured his place on the dating show, a spokesman confirmed.
He spoke to cops alongside Kettering FC footballer Harlain Mbayo, who was ordered to carry out a community resolution, which can involve an apology or compensation.
The dispute was sparked over payment for food and an Uber taxi ride.
Personal trainer Dejon last night told The Sun: “I was never arrested.
“I voluntarily spoke to the police to clarify the truth about what happened in this incident, with no further action taken.
“To stress, my intentions here were entirely honourable and it is very upsetting to read claims that suggest otherwise.”
The Met Police said: “On March 16 at 04:05hrs officers responded to a report of a robbery in which a phone was taken.
“An investigation was launched and two men voluntarily took part in interviews. The victim’s phone was recovered and has been returned.
“No further action was taken against the 26-year-old man.”
ITV added: “We speak to our Islanders in advance of the show in addition to rigorous background screening, including DBS checks.”

‘ATHLEISURE’ isn’t really a word that factors into my life.
There are clothes I use to exercise — usually a ratty t-shirt and gym shorts — and clothes I wear out and about.
However, I was recently sent some gear from Gym + Coffee, and my eyes were opened to the possibility of clothes that do both.
Gym+Coffee is designed to bridge the gap between gymwear and everyday clothingSuppliedI tried out three of the brand’s garments[/caption]
As you might be able to tell from the name, Gym + Coffee makes garments designed to take you from your workout to your post-gym social commitments.
They might not be smart enough to wear out to dinner, but their sleek, minimalistic design means they’re certainly nice enough to wear out to brunch or to run errands.
They tick the box that I think all good gym gear should tick: they make you excited to do exercise.
Gym+Coffee: Quickfire Q&A
How much is it? Moderately priced, if you ask me. My T-shirt was £30, shorts were £40 and the quarter-zip mid layer was £60.
Who’s it best for? People who like their workout clothes to do the heavy lifting outside the gym as well as in.
What we loved: Every item feels really well-made, the sizing is spot-on and it’s a welcome change from a sea of Gymshark and Lululemon. I also thought it was really
What we didn’t: Honestly? Not much. There are a lot of stock issues at the moment, which makes ordering a pain.
There’s nothing too fancy about the material; it’s 88% recycled polyester (which is a nice eco-friendly touch) and 12% elastane, which gives it a nice form-fitting stretch.
I really loved the fit of this tee; it’s got just a tiny bit of extra length, which means that you won’t be exposing your stomach every time you reach your arms above your head.
I also liked that it doesn’t go over the top with the stretchiness — it’s tight enough to be form-fitting, but loose enough that you won’t look like an idiot if you decide to go for a pint after your workout.
It’s also super breathable, soft to the touch and, at £30, it’s not silly money.
It’s also a nice design touch to include a raglan sleeve, which extends in one piece up to your collar, rather than stopping at the shoulder.
It gives you a bigger range of movement than an ordinary sleeve.
While that’s nothing groundbreaking, it just shows an attention to detail that I appreciate.
Other neat little features include a size pocket with an invisible zip and thumb holes.
It says a lot that it’s recieved nothing but five-star reviews on the Gym+Coffee site, and that’s from 50+ reviews — no mean feat.
I think I echo the sentiments of this review: “Fits like a glove. Nice and tight on the arms and chest while not showing off the dad gut. Love it. Highly recommend.”
I’ve always liked a shorter short, especially for working out, but it’s worth mentioning that Gym + Coffee sells two versions of these shorts: a six-inch version and an eight-inch version.
Weirdly, though, if you have your heart set on Petrol Blue, you’ll have to be happy to show some thigh — you can’t get the colour in the eight-inch shorts.
As with the quarter zip, there’s an attention to detail here I like.
They have the sort of thick waistband I usually associate with yoga pants, for example, which helps them to stay in place during high-intensity sports.
And as a person whose primary form of exercise is tennis, I appreciated that I could fit two tennis balls in the pockets.
Some reviewers have called these the best shorts they’ve ever worn, and I have to agree — they’re comfortable, lightweight, and made from a fabric that feels soft, stretchy and high-quality.

TELLY farm favourite Jeremy Clarkson has made the rasher decision not to send his tiny transgender pig to the slaughterhouse.
While most of the Sun columnist’s swine are dispatched to be turned into bacon, sausages and pork chops, he has decided to save diminutive Richard Ham — named after his ex-Top Gear and Grand Tour co-host Richard Hammond.

But in scenes from the latest episode of Clarkson’s Farm — streaming tomorrow — viewers discover the pint-sized pig is not being kept purely out of affection.
Instead, he is spared the butcher’s knife in a bid to get the next lot of female pigs “in the mood” — and is likened to late Playboy boss Hugh Hefner.
Jeremy says: “The problem is, if he goes on the lorry, he’s killed and all we get in return is chipolata and a pork chop the size of a walnut.
“If he stays here, we’ve got to feed him for no reason.
“And that’s not farming.
“But the next lot of sows, we’re going to use artificial insemination on them, to make them pregnant.
“But we can’t do that until they get in heat and they won’t get in heat unless there’s man pig nearby.
“So why don’t we keep him as the farm’s man pig, to get the ladies in the mood?
“Good old Richard Ham — you could be Hugh Hefner now!”
Last week, viewers saw farm manager Kaleb Cooper tell Jeremy his bull, which cost £5,500, might be gay as he showed no interest in breeding with the cows.
Then Kaleb informed him Richard Ham was showing signs he might be trans after being bonked by another boar.
But Kaleb is still bewildered by Jeremy’s decision to keep the little porker, saying: “What is this farm coming to?”

Mahomes had a disaster in the February showpiece, in one of the worst games of his career.
He was looking to lead the Chiefs to a historic three-peat, which would have been the first in league history.
However, he is now eyeing a return for the upcoming season to win his fourth ring.
And Mahomes has made it clear the focus is on getting his team back into the Super Bowl.
“When you lose a Super Bowl, I think there’s sometimes in those workouts, you may be a little tired,” he said.
“You have that extra added motivation to finish even harder, finish even stronger.
“I think it’ll be good for us at the end of the day.
“I mean, obviously looking back, you want to win the game.
“But a lot these guys hadn’t lost one, hadn’t ended the season on a loss that are on this team now.
“So, I’m sure they’ll be motivated to go back out there and try to find a way to get to the Super Bowl and win it this year.”
Mahomes was talking after the Chiefs returned to OTAs, before more intense practice in the coming weeks ahead.
Super Bowl 60 will take place at the San Francisco 49ers‘ Levi Stadium in February 2026.
Meanwhile, Travis Kelce has warned the NFL he is coming back for the new season to prove his doubters wrong.

The 35-year-old had one of the poorest campaigns of his career last season.
He was not up to his usual standers on the field, and his stats were way down.
However, during a New Heights podcast with NBA legend Shaq, he put the league on notice.
“Wait ’til you see this year baby,” said Kelce.
“I’m coming back with a little bit of that Shaq f***in’ p***ed off.
“And ready to rock and roll man.”
The new NFL season kicks off with the Eagles hosting the Dallas Cowboys on September 4.
2 weeks agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Time running out for key city to vote on ANOTHER grocery tax or add millions in tax hikes but shoppers cry ‘it’s theft’
A POPULAR metropolitan area is racing the clock to vote on whether or not to implement another grocery tax as the old one nears expiration.
Should the new grocery tax be skipped over, shoppers could still see millions of dollars in tax hikes take effect.
GettyOfficials in a key city are eyeing a new grocery tax[/caption]
Shoppers could see a hike to their grocery bills if the tax is approvedGETTY
Consumers in Illinois are currently faced with a statewide 1% tax on groceries, but Governor JB Pritzker signed legislation last fall to eliminate the tax, effective January 1, 2026.
However, the switch-up does not mean that grocery taxes are a thing of the past in Illinois – local governments, including cities and towns, can now decide to implement their own 1% grocery tax.
Chicago, the most populous city in the state, is currently debating whether or not to impose a city-wide levy.
Mayor Brandon Johnson and his top finance leaders encouraged city council members to implement a Chicago grocery tax soon during a meeting of the City Council’s Revenue Subcommittee on Tuesday.
Electing to bypass the 1% grocery tax would reduce Chicago’s 2026 budget by around $80 million, worsening the city’s already nearly $1 billion budget gap, according to budget director Annette Guzman.
“We must reaffirm the grocery tax before the state’s deadline,” she told the nine city council members at the hearing.
Chicagoans were not pleased about the prospect of the 1% city grocery tax, expressing their frustrations online.
“I’m glad I live in the burbs, screw that thief,” fumed one Facebook user, as another cried that a grocery tax was “regressive” and a “burden on the poor.”
A third resident complained that grocery taxes punished Americans for saving money and trying to eat healthy, calling the potential 1% city tax a “typical terrible policy from the joke that is this mayor.”
“Politicians that do nothing but tax, tax, tax. It’s theft,” blasted another user.
Mayor Johnson, however, argued that Chicago would not be creating a new grocery tax, but rather re-implementing one that already exists but is set to expire.
“There is a process in which the collection of the grocery tax is now being placed in the responsibility of municipalities, right?” the mayor said at a city hall news conference.
“So it was a function that the state of Illinois decided to relinquish, and leave it to the cities to collect the tax. So we’re not creating a grocery tax, we’re just creating a process by which we can collect it.”
TAXING TIMES
Governor JB Pritzker announced in August 2024 that he would eliminate the 1% grocery sales tax in Illinois, arguing that it was regressive and especially harmful to lower income families.
There is a process in which the collection of the grocery tax is now being placed in the responsibility of municipalities. It was a function that the state of Illinois decided to relinquish, and leave it to the cities to collect the tax. So we’re not creating a grocery tax, we’re just creating a process by which we can collect it.”
Brandon JohnsonChicago Mayor
Although the move will eliminate the statewide grocery levy, Illinois lawmakers approved a budget that included nearly $750 million in tax increases to balance the budget.
Chicago receives a substantial amount of revenue from the state’s grocery tax, so should the city choose not to implement its own 1% grocery tax, it would likely need to roll out major tax hikes.
Over 150 communities across Illinois have already elected to impose local grocery taxes, leaving many state residents to soon pay the same fees, but to a different governing body.
In Chicago, Mayor Johnson and the city council have yet to make their final decision, but face an October 1 deadline in order for the city tax to take effect when the statewide levy ends at the start of 2026.
“If we fail to do the same, we will leave critical services on the chopping block,” said Chicago’s budget director.
Although October 1 appears a ways away, the deadline is closer than it seems.
The proposed law still needs to be formally introduced and is likely to encounter delaying tactics from opponents.
Additionally, it needs to secure a majority vote in the City Council by the end of September, complicated by the fact that city council members usually take their annual vacation in August.
As Chicagoans potentially face spikes to their grocery bills, Americans across the country are seeing higher prices at the grocery store due to tariffs.

He was invited to the church as a guest speaker.
A nurse and a nursing student in the congregation provided first aid until an ambulance arrived, as reported by NeedToKnow.
The student, who wished to remain anonymous, told local media, “We did our part to save his life.

TOM BRADY has revealed the huge dilemma he faces after switching from player to analyst.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner is NFL‘S most famed quarterback ever.
Patrick Mahomes could be the biggest threat to Tom Brady’s record of winning an incredible seven Super BowlsBrady, right, has given his views on giving honest verdicts to viewers on fellow quarterbacks like Chiefs hero Mahomes
And that means the spotlight glares brighter when the 47-year-old gives his verdict on fellow QBs.
The New England Patriots legend has now admitted he struggles with one major part of his job.
But he has also told Patrick Mahomes and Co of his brutal “responsibility” to fans.
Mahomes, 29, is threatening to overhaul Brady‘s silverware record.
The Kansas City Chiefs QB has won five of the past six Super Bowls with the only team he has played for.
And some pundits have suggested Brady has pulled his punches on football stars in his position.
He’s even been labelled as “very supportive” of Mahomes.
Brady is one season into a 10-year deal with Fox Sports reportedly worth $375million.
And he’s opened up on why he finds it tough commenting on quarter-backs, especially those as successful as Mahomes.
Brady told Complex Sports: “How can I throw shade at someone who is as amazing as he is? I know what he’s been through.
However, he added: “The one position I’m in now as a broadcaster is I do feel responsibility to tell the fans what I see and be honest and up front about everything.
“But also realize that what these guys are doing on the field is extremely difficult.
“It’s a high level of skill. You’re looking at any of the 32 teams who have a starting quarterback out there.
‘That guy’s one of the best in the world at what he does. So do they make the right plays all the time? Certainly not. By the way, neither did I.
“And I think you have to have this context and perspective and you realize that it’s not about this harsh critique and that’s not really what it’s all about anyway.”
So how does Brady sum up his attitude on delivering words of wisdom?
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers ace said: “To me, it’s more about: let’s point out the greatness of these individual players.
“Have fun, enjoy it, entertain a little bit and really try to educate people a little bit.”

Just a day after a landmark deal was announced, it seems some changes have already been made to Jeopardy!
One viewer took to Reddit as they noticed that the sign behind the studio audience was subtly altered.
The thread on the fan forum platform was titled: “Did anybody notice the Jeopardy sign change from Friday’s game?”
One viewer replied: “Looks like the hanging light fixtures are gone as well. Too bad – they subtly echoed the set and I thought they looked really cool, especially in person.”
As another noted: “I noticed that for Masters the Jeopardy sign was the same as the 2nd photo, and was wondering if/when we’ll see it appear in Syndication. Guess I’ve got the answer now!”
This comes after it was announced that both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will be available to stream the day after they air on TV.
As part of a huge new deal, Sony PicturesTelevisionwill allowHuluandPeacockto show the hit game shows on their services from the fall.
The streaming deal is separate to the syndication row Sony is currently involved in with CBS, which allows local stations to screen episodes.
Sony Pictures Television chairman Keith Le Goy said: “We are thrilled to bring America’s favorite game shows to an even wider audience on Hulu, Hulu on Disney+, and Peacock.
“Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune are two of the most successful game shows in television history, and we look forward to giving fans the best possible streaming access to our shows this fall.”
Sony sued CBS for allegedly breaching their deal and attempting to syndicate the show abroad as the two entertainment giants are currently embroiled in a legal wrangle.
The U.S. Sun previously revealed Jeopardy! continues to be one of America’s favorite gameshows among viewers.
Ken Jennings took over the hosting duties from the show in 2022.
According to Nielsen, Jeopardy! pulled a solid 8,902,000 viewers to the show in early March.
Wheel of Fortune – hosted by Ryan Seacrest – trailed slightly behind in the number two spot with 8,477,000 viewers.
In third came Family Feud with 7,218,000 fans.
