The Kelly Clarkson Show new season plans revealed after beloved host’s ex-husband Brandon Blackstock’s sudden death
THE KELLY Clarkson Show’s new season plans have been revealed after the beloved host suffered the sudden loss of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock.
After the pop star announced the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency shows in August due to the family tragedy, many fans wondered if she would return for the premiere of her talk show in September.

According to a show insider, The Kelly Clarkson Show will be coming back as scheduled next season, despite the host dealing with tremendous grief.
“She is first and foremost present for her kids and processing the tragedy herself in many different layers but she has been in some meetings already.
“And she is looking forward to her show coming back. The show is coming back as scheduled next month, no changes are being made as of right now.
“Everything is moving along as previously planned before this. She needs a sense of normalcy and routine, and quite frankly needs the distraction,” the insider claimed.
The source continued to talk about Kelly’s children she shares with Brandon, River, 11, and Remington, 9: “She wants the same for her kids.
“Helping them navigate through this is her top priority. There’s no rule book or instruction book for it.
“She is trying her best but she’s struggling helping them cope to life without their dad. She’s putting on a brave face for everyone around her though, that’s for sure.
“For someone who is so emotional, she is so good at holding everything together and being strong for others. She’s an amazing mom.
“She is so hard on herself and feels like she’s not being good enough for her kids. It’s all very complicated.”
The show insider added that Kelly, 43, was handling the matter privately as most of the crew members were not privy to what was really going on behind the scenes with Brandon.
“People on her staff knew she had something going on with her husband. A select few knew he was sick, the rest suspected he was sick.
“But no one knew it was going to be so bad so quickly. It was a shock to everyone and I think Kelly herself that he passed away when he did.
“A lot of the staff had met him before, it’s a really difficult thing to process for everybody,” they said.
TRAGIC END
On August 7th, Brandon‘s former company, Starstruck Entertainment, announced that he had passed away at the age of 48 following a battle with melanoma cancer.
“It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away.
“Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,
“He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family.
“We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this very difficult time,” the company where Brandon served as a music manager for years stated.

While Kelly has already canceled several professional projects that were set to happen in August, such as her Las Vegas concerts and a Texas charity benefit, the September premiere of her talk show is seemingly still happening.
PRIVATE BATTLE
Brandon, who became very private following his divorce from Kelly, 43, was rarely pictured in recent years.
After the couple’s separation in June 2020, Brandon left Los Angeles, where Kelly was currently residing to host her talk show, and moved to live a quieter life on his ranch in Montana.
The couple endured a drawn-out custody battle that turned nasty in court after Kelly filed for divorce in June of 2020.
Their divorce was finalized in 2022 and cost Kelly a fortune, including a one-time payment of $1.3 million, monthly child support of $45,601, as well as a monthly spousal support payment of $115,000.
However, Kelly was granted primary custody of their two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander with Brandon having visitation rights.

The 53-year-old veteran stock driver died at a North Carolina short track on Sunday.

Brewer’s car made direct contact with the wall of the quarter-mile track at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The vehicle eventually came to a complete stop near the start-finish line.
Track workers helped remove Brewer from the car, and an ambulance took him to Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, per the Winston-Salem Journal.
“We are saddened by the passing of Robbie Brewer after he was transported to an area medical facility following an on-track medical incident,” the track officials’ statement said on Sunday.
“Robbie was a talented and passionate racer, and highly respected competitor among his peers.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Robbie’s family and friends at this time.”
The details of the medical emergency have yet to be released.

Bowman Gray was also the location for this year’s preseason NASCAR Cup Series exhibition event in February.
Brewer’s career began in 1990.
He made over 250 starts in the Sportsman Division.
Brewer won the points championship in 2011.
Fellow Bowman Gray driver Brad Lewis has a connection with Brewer.

His race shop is near where Brewer lived.
Lewis said Brewer “was like a big brother to me even though we were not that far apart in age.”
“He was a wheelman through and through,” he said.
“I’m not going to honor him the rest of the season but for as long as we race out there.

“He’ll be missed.”
Fans also sent their tributes concerning Brewer’s sudden death.
“Brewer’s impact on the sport and the community will never be forgotten. Rest in peace, Robbie,” one wrote.
“So incredibly sad. RIP,” another commented.
“Man, that’s heartbreaking. Robbie was a legend at Bowman Gray. Thoughts are with his family and the racing community,” a third added.
