Major tunnel used by 25,000 vehicles a day to close for 17 nights throughout June – just two months after grand opening

A MAJOR tunnel used by some 25,000 vehicles each day is closing for 17 nights throughout June – just months after opening.

Silvertown Tunnel, which links Silvertown in east London to the Greenwich Peninsula, opened on April 7 this year after taking just under 5 years to be completed.

But now, some two months later, the tunnel has been scheduled to close for 17 overnight dates for general maintenance and “snagging works”, according to Transport for London.

Indeed, the overnight closures are in their early stages, with the southbound direction closed each day – from 10pm until the early morning – since Friday, May 30.

Planned overnight closures of the Silvertown Tunnel

  • Friday, May 30 – 10pm-6am (Southbound only)
  • Saturday, May 31 – 10pm-6am (Southbound only)
  • Sunday, June 1 – 10pm-5am (Southbound only)
  • Monday, June 2 – 10pm-5am (Southbound only)
  • Tuesday, June 3 – 10pm-5am (Southbound only)
  • Wednesday, June 4 – 10pm-5am (Both directions closed)
  • Thursday, June 5 – 10pm-5am (Northbound only)
  • Friday, June 6 – 10pm-6am (Both directions closed)
  • Saturday, June 7 – 10pm-6am (Both directions closed)
  • Sunday, June 8 – 10pm-5am (Both directions closed)
  • Friday, June 13 – 10pm-6am (Both directions closed)
  • Saturday, June 14 – 10pm-6am (Both directions closed)
  • Sunday, June 15 – 10pm-5am (Both directions closed)
  • Wednesday, June 18 – 10pm-5am (Southbound only)
  • Friday, June 20 – 10pm-6am (Both directions closed)
  • Saturday, June 21 – 10pm-6am (Both bores closed)
  • Sunday, June 22 – 10pm-5am (Both directions closed)

Since its grand opening, thousands of drivers have been forced to fork out up to £20 a day to use the tunnel – which applies for both the Silvertown and Blackwall Tunnels between 6am and 10pm.

Car drivers are charged up to £4 per journey with discounts for automatic payments and travelling at off-peak times.

Most drivers will pay a minimum of £1.50 to use each tunnel – although some may qualify for a discount or exemption,

The payment rises and falls depending on the weight of your vehicle, with motorbikes, for example, paying £2.50 at peak times, while HGVs are charged £10 at peak times.

Drivers pay up each time they use the tunnel, which means they could be charged several times a day.

The idea behind the Silvertown Tunnel is to cut journey times by up to 20 minutes at peak times, as well as boosting zero emission transport options.

TfL say that, on dates when the southbound section is closed, buses will be diverted via the Blackwall Tunnel, while at times when both directions are closed, buses will operate a split service that terminates at Canning Town and North Greenwich.

According to Highways Magazine, 25,000 vehicles are expected to be using the Silvertown Tunnel each day.

CHARGED UP

This comes as motorists who use the Dartford tunnel toll route could face triple the costs – if the upcoming Lower Thames Crossing mega project is built using private finance.

Transport analysts suggest that funding for the new crossing, a 14.3-mile route connecting Essex and Kent with an estimated price tag of £9.2 billion, could result in daily fees at the Dartford Crossing soaring to £8.10.

Currently, cars pay £2.50 to use the crossing, but the Transport Action Network (TAN) suggests fees could rise to £8.10 for cars and £14 for lorries to cover the Lower Thames Crossing’s construction and financing costs.

However, National Highways has dismissed these claims as speculative – claiming that tolls would remain in line with current rates but adjusted for inflation.

A National Highways spokesperson told Sun Motors: “These numbers are untrue.

“As the planning application for the project made clear, charges will be applied at the same rate as the Dartford Crossing.”

The Lower Thames Crossing project, approved in March, would massively ease congestion by providing an alternative route for vehicles between Essex and Kent.

Specifically, the huge, motorway-style tunnel would link the town of Tilbury in Essex to Medway in Kent, would also be connected to the A2 and M2 in Kent, as well as the A13 and M25 in Essex.

It would also provide transport links between London and crossings to Dover – which, of course, account for half of the goods traded between Britain and mainland Europe.

While business groups like the Road Haulage Association and Logistics UK welcome the infrastructure as critical for reducing congestion and improving freight reliability – they stress the importance of keeping tolls reasonable.

Who is Kyle Ashman? Love Island 2025 star removed from series days before ITV launch show

LOVE Island contestant Kyle Ashman was dramatically pulled from the show just days before it starts, but who is he and what do we know about him?

The 23-year-old from Stafford was axed from the show just days before launch after it was revealed by The Sun he was involved in a vicious attack on a 38-year-old father.

Who is Kyle Ashman?

Kyle Ashman is a 23-year-old man from Stafford.

He works as a water operative, laying and repairing water pipes.

Kyle was all set to star in this year’s Love Island but was removed after The Sun journalists uncovered his arrest.

Earlier this year, Kyle was one of two men questioned after a vicious attack at a wake.

Two machete-wielding men attacked mourners at The White Eagle Club in Stafford on February 28. One of those – a father – nearly lost an arm in the mass brawl as a result of his injuries.

Kyle was arrested by police and questioned before being released without charge. Police have confirmed that he is not a suspect in the ongoing investigation.

As a result of the controversy, Kyle decided to leave the show and won’t fly out to Majorca to join the other contestants at the sun-soaked villa.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Kyle said: “I fully cooperated with this police investigation and made it very clear that I had no involvement in this incident.”

He added: “I am not a violent person and any suggestion otherwise is a mischaracterisation.”

What does Kyle’s decision to leave Love Island mean?

Kyle’s decision to leave puts Love Island bosses in a difficult position, with cameras about to start rolling on this much-loved show.

There are also questions about how ITV vetting checks could have missed something as serious.

ITV bosses speaking to The Sun said: “For personal reasons, Kyle will not be entering the Love Island Villa as planned.”

This isn’t the first time Love Island contestants have found themselves dealing with controversy.

In 2023, salesman Haris Namani was caught on camera punching another man on a night out.

Corfu hotel hits back Brit gran who moaned about lack of ‘English food’…& says she even made complaint about the WEATHER

A CORFU hotel boss has accused a Brit gran for “fabricating complaints” after she moaned her stay was a “nightmare” thanks to “no bacon, sausages or chips”.

The OAP was accused by the hotel of fishing for compensaion – and the manager even claiming she had blamed the staff for bad weather.

Susan Edwards, 69, from Westerhope, Newcastle upon Tyne, said her seven-night stay at the Lido Corfu Sun Hotel on the Greek island was the “worst holiday” she’d ever been on.

She told Chronicle Live there was “no English food” on the all-inclusive menu and she was “sick to death of looking at rice” by the end.

The grumbling gran was also dismayed at only being offered chips “one day out of the whole lot” during her £750pp week-long stay.

Now the hotel’s manager, Makis Triantafyllos, has hit back – alleging Susan’s complaints were a ruse to money back.

He told The Sun: “From the very beginning of her stay, [Susan] demonstrated clear intent to fabricate complaints in pursuit of financial compensation, going as far as to complain about the weather.”

He alleged she demanded to know from the staff: “Why is it raining?”

The manager claimed Susan’s attitude had been “sarcastic and dismissive” to staff who did their best to accommodate her.

The hotelier also fiercely defended the menu, saying the food service is “generous and diverse, offering fresh salads, fruits, hot and cold dishes daily”.

He fumed that Susan’s account of the food was “entirely false and disrespectful to our culinary staff”.

And as for the “no English food” dig – Makis said the Sun Hotel offers “world-renowned and beloved Mediterranean cuisine” with other options tailored to guests’ preferences – including those from the UK.

The spat continued over the issue of room keys.

Susan said she’d asked for a second key for her daughter because she herself gets tired in the afternoons and likes to pop back for a lie down.

She said the hotel told her: “No, too expensive.”

However, Makis said Susan was given a second room key but that it was “revoked after it was used solely to keep the electricity running – leaving the air conditioning on 24 hours a day, even with open windows and the room unoccupied.”

This behaviour, he explained, “violates our sustainability and energy policies”.

Susan also took aim at the hotel’s facilities, claiming there was no entertainment at the site, which is “stuck in the middle of nowhere”.

She said trek down to the private beach was too steep to navigate.

The hotel said the beach is “approximately 300 meters away, accessible via a path that is clearly described”, and that it “hosts three weekly evening events by the pool“.

But it was the food and drink that most riled the bee in Susan’s bonnet.

She said: “On a morning you could have toast, a hard-boiled egg, or something in sauce.

“For breakfast there was mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. There was no hot bacon or sausage.

“We got chips one day. One day out of the whole lot.

“There was fish, sardines and rice – I was sick to death of looking at rice.

“There was pasta and salads, none of this was marked [labelled].

“One night there was a Greek night and they had kebabs, I couldn’t eat that.”

The 69-year-old has to be careful with what she eats, as she has a condition called ulcerative colitis – a long-term inflammatory bowel disease.

Makis said Susan’s pre-occupation with poking holes in the services “clearly indicated that she was focused on securing compensation, rather than enjoying her holiday”.

Hotel staff made “consistent and respectful efforts to accommodate her”, he said.

Makis added: “Targeting a hotel with excellent ratings (8+/10 on Booking.com and 4.3/5 on Google) and many loyal, returning guests, based solely on questionable accusations, is both unfair and damaging.”

After receiving Susan’s complaint, a TUI UK & I spokesperson said: “Our priority is to ensure customers have the best possible holiday experience, so we are sorry to hear that Mrs Edwards felt dissatisfied with her holiday.

“We have been in touch directly with Mrs Edwards to come to a resolution.”

The travel company offered her £100 in holiday vouchers – but Susan claims some people were offered more after complaining, and so declined the olive branch.

Nathan Aspinall outlines darts retirement plans with current schedule ‘absolutely obscene’

NATHAN ASPINALL has sensationally revealed that he plans to retire from darts by the age of 45 — if not sooner.

The 33-year-old said the current “obscene” scheduling has been a major factor behind his decision.

Nathan Aspinall has vowed to call time on his darts career in the next 12 years

Aspinall is ready to call time on his career within the next 12 years.

The Stockport ace told SportsBoom: “45 and I’m off. I’ve said to my partner if that’s me, it is 45.

“If it’s earlier than that, and we start making golfers’ money and I’ve got £30 million in the bank I’ll be off sooner.

“But I don’t think it’s going to happen that quick. But 45 is when I’d like to bugger off.”

One of Aspinall’s biggest frustrations is the relentless PDC schedule.

He’s been vocal about the lack of downtime and the pressure on players trying to manage both form and wellbeing.

He added: “Compared to even ten years ago. The calendar is absolutely obscene.

“For us to take a weekend off, I have to pull out events so I’m losing ranking money because I just need a few days off.

“And I’ve done that over the last couple of weeks because I was in a tight position in the Premier League, I really wanted to make the playoffs.”

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

Aspinall made the playoffs after beating Michael van Gerwen in the quarter-finals of Night 16 in Premier League Darts.

He narrowly lost to Luke Humphries in the semi-finals at the O2, before the world No1 beat Luke Littler in the final.

But Aspinall then beat Damon Heta 8-6 in final to claim his second European Tour title of 2025 on Sunday.

He scooped the £30,000 prize in Leverkusen after becoming the first double winner of this year’s Euro Tour.

The Asp recently revealed that there’s an army of Littlers waiting to breakthrough.

He was a guest at Tottenham star James Maddison’s golf day at The Centurion Club with darts pal Joe Cullen last month.

Loose Women’s Kaye Adams breaks silence on ‘sleepless nights’ amid cuts

KAYE Adams has broken her silence on the chaos at Loose Women and admitted she has had sleepless nights over the cuts to the show’s airtime.

ITV announced dramatic changes to their daytime TV schedule last month, axing more than 220 jobs and making cuts to shows including Loose Women and Lorraine.

Loose Women is affected by the dramatic changes[/caption]

Speaking on her podcast How to be 60 Kaye said she felt as though ‘the rug had been pulled’ from underneath her.

Kaye, 62, confessed: “It did come out of the blue.

“I didn’t anticipate it, which is probably stupid in retrospect. You get into a sort of rhythm of life.

“I had a couple of sleepless nights I have to say, because it’s just like the rug’s been pulled from under your feet – what has been familiar.”

Under the changes, Loose Women will be slashed and will be on air for 30 instead of 52 weeks.

Lorraine Kelly’s morning show will also be cut to 30 weeks, and will reduce from an hour to 30 minutes.

Kaye, who is one of Loose Women’s main anchors, said: “It’s going to have an impact. Lots of people will lose their jobs completely which is terrible. It’s a huge change.

“But I gave myself a talking to and I listened to my own advice for once – change is hard, but it can be good.

“The past is a trap, don’t fear the future – I’m telling myself all these things. And maybe this is the nudge that I needed to make some changes in my life and I’ll just have to go with it.”

It has been rumoured that the pool of Loose Women panellists will be reduced as part of the cutbacks, which will be introduced from January.

So far none of the hosts, including big name stars Ruth Langsford, 65, Denise Welch, 67, Coleen Nolan, 60, and Nadia Sawalha, 60, know if their livelihoods are at stake.

It is not yet known whether younger panellists, such as former Love Island contestant Olivia Attwood, 34, and influencer GK Barry, 25, will be favoured over veteran stars including Janet Street-Porter, 78, and Jane Moore, 63.

Kaye, 62, who joined the Loose Women panel from its first series in 1999, said: “It’s well documented of course. They’re having to make cuts and it will affect Loose Women and to be perfectly honest we have no idea at this point what is going to happen.”

The popular presenter revealed that she has been planning to downsize from the family home she shares in Glasgow with her husband, tennis coach Ian Campbell, since their two daughters Charly, 22 and Bonnie, 18, moved out.

She said the Loose Women changes might give her the opportunity to concentrate on the move.

Speaking on the Midweek Catchup episode of How to be 60, out today, she told co-host Karen McKenzie: “I’ve been going on and on I’m going to downsize and make changes to my house.

“Maybe it’s going to give me a bit of time to focus on that and really spend some time on it.

“Funnily enough, I agreed ages ago to do this programme where they get people like me who are ready to get rid of big bits of furniture and downsize and they take them to an auction house and they sell them off and they film it.

“They asked me to earmark bits of furniture and different things that I was prepared to get rid of and so I agreed at the time, because I thought this is going to give me the impetus to really get going on the down-sizing.”

ITV's daytime TV schedule changes in full

Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes to run from 6am to 9.30am daily.

Lorraine will run from 9.30am-10am, on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year.

During the weeks Lorraine is not on air, Good Morning Britain will run from 6am to 10am.

This Morning will remain in its 10am-12.30pm slot on weekdays throughout the year.

Loose Women will be in the 12.30-1.30pm slot, again on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year.

The changes will take effect from January 2026.

Kaye joked that she hadn’t yet told her husband. “They’re coming with a truck and I haven’t told Ian. For the last week I keep going to start the conversation with him – ‘by the way, there’s a film crew coming and I’ve told them that they can have that sideboard, that chair, that desk.’ I haven’t told him yet!

“But if I didn’t tell him and he came back tomorrow night, he wouldn’t notice. He might if the sofa was gone or the television, but that’s about it!”

Kaye set up the How to be 60 podcast three years ago with friend and former BBC colleague Karen McKenzie. The weekly podcast features interviews with big name guests including Alan Cumming, Michelle Collins and Shane Richie, as well as conversations about how the guests view and approach the big 6-0.

The midweek catchup episode features chat and banter between the two co-hosts as well as reflections on their lives.

Kaye, who also presents a daily show on BBC Radio Scotland, added that she was now trying to put a positive spin on the Loose Women cutbacks, rather than worry about them.

She said: “So, all change. It’s good for us. I’m going to embrace it.”

Kaye is the third Loose Women panellist to break cover and speak out about the impact of the cuts.

Last month panellist Nadia Sawalha choked back tears as she said: “What’s been brutal, absolutely brutal, over the last week, honestly, I feel tearful about it, is that hundreds of people… are going to be made redundant out of the blue.

“These are all the people behind the scenes that support us in every way.”

And Sun columnist Jane Moore hit out at the ‘snooty reaction’ to the announcement of the cuts.

I found out my man had sex with Bonnie Blue – people say we ‘forget those 1,000 men are real dudes that walk among us’

A YOUNG woman has been left heartbroken after allegedly discovering her now ex-boyfriend was just one of more than 1,000 men that took part in Bonnie Blue’s record-breaking sex marathon.

Stevie Kennedy, who is now describing herself as a “hot new bombshell” after recently dumping her ex, claimed that her partner at the time had sex with the controversial OnlyFans model, 25, earlier this year.

Back in January, Bonnie Blue boasted she had broken the world record for having sex with the most men in one day, after she bedded 1,057 blokes in just 12 hours.

The disgraced blonde, who has previously been branded “predatory” for romping with teenage lads, invited “barely legal and barely breathing” men to take part in the London event, one of which Stevie claimed was her now ex-boyfriend.

Posting on social media, the brunette claimed she “had a bad feeling” that her boyfriend at the time was being unfaithful, so decided to go through his phone.

But the content creator who normally “respects” people’s privacy, said she was devastated when she realised that her boyfriend at the time had cheated on her with Bonnie, whose real name is Tia Billinger.

In a short clip which has since gone viral, Stevie filmed herself holding back tears and shaking her head, as she got candid on her boyfriend’s alleged infidelity.

Stevie wrote: “This is your sign to go through his phone.

“I found out my boyfriend of five years cheated on me with Bonnie Blue.

“He was one of the 1,000 men in 24 hours.”

Not only had Stevie and her boyfriend at the time been together for five years, she claimed, but they they were even “planning to get married” too.

As a result, Stevie slammed: “Never talking to a male ever again.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @steviekennedyy, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 6.8 million views.

Not only this, but it’s also amassed one million likes, 8,789 comments, 29,600 saves and 83,100 shares.

Who is Bonnie Blue?

Born in May 1999, Bonnie – whose real name is Tia Billinger – grew up in a small Derbyshire village, and attended the Friesland School in the village of Sandiacre.

She has two half-siblings – a sister and a brother – who have always remained out of the public eye.

She never knew her biological father, and considers stepfather Nicholas Elliott her dad.

Bonnie also became something of a dance star in her local area, and competed in the British Street Dance Championships alongside her sister back in 2015.

She also had a part-time job at Poundstretcher as a teenager.

After school, she began working in recruitment.

In October 2022, Bonnie married Oliver Davidson, who she had started dating when she was just 15.

Once they were married, they moved to Australia, where Bonnie continued working in recruitment.

However, it was in Australia that she decided to pursue a different line of work, and tried her luck as a ‘cam girl’ – crediting Oliver for giving her the confidence to enter the adult entertainment world.

She quickly made a name for herself in the industry, and was soon making £5,000 a week.

But while her work life was going from strength to strength, her relationship was crumbling, and she and Oliver split after almost a decade together.

She moved over to OnlyFans following her cam girl success, and once again found fame on there.

She quickly became a favourite on the site, especially thanks to her “niche” of sleeping with young male students – such as when she bedded 158 students during Nottingham Trent University’s freshers week in September 2024.

Bonnie is now estimated to be worth £3 million, and makes around £600,000 a month on OnlyFans.

Her family are also supportive of her work, with mum Sarah Billinger even claiming she’s her daughter’s PA, and helps clean up after Bonnie’s events – as well as handing out condoms to young clients.

In January 2025, Bonnie claimed to have broken the world record for the most amount of sex in 12 hours, after apparently sleeping with 1,057 men from 1pm to 1am at a secret London event.

Social media users were horrified by the woman’s claims and many eagerly rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the situation, with numerous users urging her to “get tested” and “sue” her ex-partner.

One person said: “I would never feel clean ever again.”

Go get tested immediately girl

Another added: “Cheating is bad enough but cheating in THAT way is INSANE, hope you’re okay girl.”

A third commented: “Coming from a man, if he did that, you’re better off without him.”

Four red flags your partner is cheating

Private Investigator Aaron Bond from BondRees revealed four warning signs your partner might be cheating.

They start to take their phone everywhere with them

In close relationships, it’s normal to know each other’s passwords and use each other’s phones, if their phone habits change then they may be hiding something.

Aaron says: “If your partner starts changing their passwords, starts taking their phone everywhere with them, even around the house or they become defensive when you ask to use their phone it could be a sign of them not being faithful.”

“You should also look at how they place their phone down when not in use. If they face the phone with the screen facing down, then they could be hiding something.”

They start telling you less about their day

When partners cheat they can start to avoid you, this could be down to them feeling guilty or because it makes it easier for them to lie to you.

“If you feel like your partner has suddenly begun to avoid you and they don’t want to do things with you any more or they stop telling you about their day then this is another red flag.”

“Partners often avoid their spouses or tell them less about their day because cheating can be tough, remembering all of your lies is impossible and it’s an easy way to get caught out,” says Aaron.

Their libido changes

Your partner’s libido can change for a range of reasons so it may not be a sure sign of cheating but it can be a red flag according to Aaron.

Aaron says: “Cheaters often have less sex at home because they are cheating, but on occasions, they may also have more sex at home, this is because they feel guilty and use this increase in sex to hide their cheating.  You may also find that your partner will start to introduce new things into your sex life that weren’t there before.”

They become negative towards you

Cheaters know that cheating is wrong and to them, it will feel good, this can cause tension and anxiety within themselves which they will need to justify.

“To get rid of the tension they feel inside they will try to convince themselves that you are the problem and they will become critical of you out of nowhere.  Maybe you haven’t walked the dog that day, put the dishes away or read a book to your children before bedtime.  A small problem like this can now feel like a big deal and if you experience this your partner could be cheating,” warns Aaron.

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: “Sue him for endangering your health. Your prince is out there, be glad you found out before the wedding instead of after.”

Not only this, but one woman advised: “Go get tested immediately girl.”

At the same time, another user sighed: “I forget that those 1,000 dudes are real people that walk among us.”

You won’t have to wait long for your delivery to arrive either.

Orders are processed within a few business days, with the home arriving this month.

While $9,035 is not cheap, it could be a way of getting on the property ladder.

BOOMING MARKET

Tiny homes have boomed in popularity in the United States over the past decade, mainly down to affordability and sustainability reasons, and the desire for minimalist living.

They offer a path to homeownership for those unable to afford larger properties or who wish to avoid debt.

Millennials and Generation X are the primary adopters of tiny homes, with the majority of tiny home dwellers being between 30 and 50 years old.

The tiny home market has grown over the past decade, and is projected to reach $23.7 billion by 2026.

What is a tiny home?

Technically, a tiny home is any house measuring under 400 square feet.

Many tiny homes are built on trailers so they can be towed anywhere, and some are converted from old school buses or vans.

Each state has its own rules about tiny homes, but, generally, they are not subject to the same taxes as regular homes.

However, Alaska, Iowa, Louisiana, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Wisconsin, and West Virginia have made tiny homes illegal as permanent dwellings.

In 2023, Dubai Chocolate went viral on TikTok and became a sensation in the US.

The pistachio-flavored dessert from the Middle East took social media by storm.

The candy is filled with pistachio cream and the shredded pastry called kataifi, coated in dark chocolate rather than the typical milk chocolate.

The US Sun reported on Trader Joe’s version of the popular chocolate, which was selling for just $3.99 per bar.

This made Trader Joe’s the cheapest place to buy the chocolate compared to its rivals.

RIVAL SELLERS

Others were selling one of the bars for nearly $30.

seven ounce Dubai Chocolate Bar at Target is going for $29.99.

And Walmart sells a seven ounce bar for $24 – marked down from the original $28.99 price.

The Trader Joe’s version was revealed on Reddit to a wave of excitement and shock at the price.

The user wrote: “Saw this on my TikTok posted by an employee!

“They said it should be in stores starting 5/28.”

And in the comments, one eager fan said: “Thank you, TJ! Got my daughter a $30 Dubai chocolate bar for her birthday. This is much better!.”

While someone else added: “Omg! I’ve never tried this chocolate before so I’m excited.”

CHOCOLATE COMPETITION

But a new supermarket chain is trying its hand at Dubai Chocolate, and it could wipe Trader Joe’s away.

Dubai Chocolate Bar Craze

The iconic Dubai Chocolate Bar has taken the internet by storm.

It went viral in December 2023 thanks to TikToker Maria Vehera’s video showing her indulging in the Middle Eastern treat, which has since garnered over 6.9 million likes.

The original Dubai Chocolate Bar, called Can’t Get Knafeh of It, was created by Fix Dessert Chocolatier in Dubai.

Vehera’s post sparked a craze among sweet tooths, who were quickly disappointed to realize that the decadent treat was expensive and hard to find.

Many social media users have whipped up copycat versions and homemade Dubai chocolate bars to get a taste of the treat.

Starbucks even launched a Dubai Chocolate Bar Matcha Latte inspired by the dessert, which has high demand and limited availability in the states.

Several retailers have begun selling versions of the chocolate bar as well to capitalize on the trend.

In an email sent to The US Sun, a rep for Lidl US revealed that the company is launching its own bar on Friday, June 13.

It will be selling for $12.99 a bar or two for $20 while supllies last.

The representative described the Dubai Chocolate as being ” filled with rich, creamy milk chocolate (like the original recipe) and stuffed with an ooey-gooey kadayif + pistachio cream center.

“It’s the same dreamy combo that made this bar a full-blown cult obsession – and now it’s hitting US shelves.”

And even better, the Lidl version will be twice the size of Trader Joe’s.

So while it will cost you more than Trader Joe’s, you are getting more bang for your buck.

Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were found dead at a campground in Washington state on Monday after their mom reported them missing on Friday.

Cops are still searching for Decker, 32, who is accused of killing his daughters during a planned custody visit on Friday.

Near where the girls’ bodies were found, cops located Decker’s white 2017 GMC Sierra truck, which he was reportedly living out of at the time of the gruesome crime.

His car was found abandoned with two bloody handprints, police records show.

It’s unclear who left the handprints.

Personal items like car seats, blankets, food, and a wallet were left on the center console of the truck.

Cops said the campsite showed signs of being recently used as a tent was set up with a cooler.

The girls’ bodies were found at around 5 pm on Monday near the Rock Island Campground in Wenatchee, which is about three hours east of Seattle.

Decker’s cell phone activity showed he went to the same campground a day before the kidnapping, police records said.

He picked his daughters up from their mom, Whitney Decker, at around 5 pm on Friday for a scheduled three-hour visit.

In interviews with police, Whitney recalled that her ex-husband was “quieter than usual” during the exchange, which was “out of character” for him.

She also told cops that he had been considering getting rid of his dog due to housing and financial struggles.

Decker is a veteran who cops say is mentally unstable. He had been homeless and living out of his truck and hotels.

Dollar Tree is one of the largest retailers in the US, raking in a whopping $4.6 billion in net sales in the first quarter.

The beloved discount chain has no plans of slowing down soon, company CEO Michael Creedon shared at a Dollar Tree earnings call on Wednesday morning.

The chain opened its 9,000th store in North America in Plano, Texas, according to Creedon, celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and $20 Dollar Tree gift cards for the first 100 shoppers.

The grand opening on May 15 marked a huge step for the company, with more store openings on the horizon.

“As excited as we are to reach this milestone, we’re just as excited about the growth runway ahead of us,” said Creedon.

The top executive also revealed that 148 new Dollar Tree stores were opened across the US in the first quarter of 2025.

Beyond its namesake stores, Dollar Tree also owns the Dollar Tree Canada and Family Dollar brands.

Across all three brands, which operate in all 48 contiguous states and five Canadian provinces, there are over 16,000 stores.

Dollar Tree is focusing a significant portion of its efforts on its namesake locations, including improving store conditions and expanding the assortment, said Creedon.

One of the company’s biggest initiatives is expanding its 3.0 model, which offers products at $1.25, $3, $5, and $7 price points.
