Buffalo Bills star running back James Cook makes decision over future after skipping weeks of practice
BUFFALO Bills star running back James Cook has decided on his future after skipping multiple training camp practice sessions.
The star has been embroiled in an ongoing contract dispute with his NFL team.

Cook has sat out roughly the last week of practices over his contract feud with the Bills.
The two-time Pro Bowler is in the final year of his rookie deal and has looked to agree to a contract extension with the team.
But on Tuesday, Cook returned to the Bills’ practice.
On Saturday, the 25-year-old was spotted on the field and in full uniform for the preseason game against the New York Giants.
But after participating in the 11-on-11 drills in warmups, Cook came back on the field without his helmet and didn’t appear in the team’s 34-25 loss.
However, Bills head coach Sean McDermott confirmed that Cook will take part in training and shared an update on the four-year veteran.
McDermott said that “things have changed,” leading to Cook’s return to practice, and that “the information that we’re getting is that he’s moving in the right direction.”
The comments make it seem that Cook has had positive contract negotiations with the Bills.
But McDermott did caution that he’s taking the situation day by day, per The Athletic.
After Saturday’s game, McDermott told reporters that he talked to Cook the previous day and described it as “a good conversation.”
During that discussion, Cook agreed to warm up with the squad before the contest but would be inactive.
Cook’s agent told ESPN, “I don’t know what else he can do to show he only wants to play for the Bills.
“Hopefully we can figure this out and refocus all energy on bringing a Super Bowl to Buffalo.”
Ray Davis and Ty Johnson have handled most of the first-team reps during Cook’s hold-in.

However, star quarterback Josh Allen and other injured players didn’t participate in the contest.
Buffalo will visit the Chicago Bears in the second preseason game of the season on Sunday night.
Southwest, United, and American Airlines dress codes explained from banned clothing types to expert warnings about jeans
AIRLINES are giving an inside look at the dress code for passengers.
From Speedos to offensive graphics, the employees are sharing what passengers can and cannot wear on their respective airlines.

Spirit Airlines has recently issued a new dress code for passengers following reports of customers being removed from flights for wearing inappropriate clothing.
If customers are “barefoot or inadequately clothed (i.e., see-through clothing; not adequately covered; exposed breasts, buttocks, or other private parts),” they will not be allowed on a Spirit flight.
The same goes for those “whose clothing or article, including body art, is lewd, obscene or offensive in nature,” the New York Post reported.
Most airlines have similar rules; however, some are more strict than others.
On Hawaiian Airlines, passengers are prohibited from wearing Speedos, bikinis, and any clothing that doesn’t cover their torso.
“In all cases, clothing must not be lewd, obscene or patently offensive to others,” said Hawaiian Airlines.
Customers are also not allowed to be barefoot on the plane, but wearing sandals is acceptable.
Southwest Airlines has similar restrictions regarding shoes and clothing.
Passengers are prohibited from wearing “lewd, obscene or offensive” clothing while on board the plane.
On United Airlines, passengers are held to the same standards as those on Southwest.
Flyers are required to avoid offensive clothing and open-toed shoes.
The same standards apply to those flying American.
Requirements begin to intensify on Delta Airlines and Qatar Airways.
On Delta, a passenger will be removed when their “conduct, attire, hygiene or odor creates an unreasonable risk of offense or annoyance to other passengers.”
Spirit Airlines' grim future
SPIRIT Airlines has suffered through some major financial blows in the past year.
The budget carrier admitted it hasn’t turned a profit since 2019.
In November 2024, the airline filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, making it the first major US carrier to do so since American Airlines 13 years ago.
The brand pulled itself out of bankruptcy in March with a plan to “operate as efficiently as possible,” the company said in a statement.
So far in 2025, Spirit has laid off 270 pilots.
The brand has also slashed its routes by 24% in the last year.
In August, managers revealed they were worried for Spirit’s immediate future in a filing with the Securities Exchange Commission.
The filing read that executives had “substantial doubt as to our ability to continue as a going concern within 12 months from the date these financial statements are issued.”
The airline has no other specific requirements.
On Qatar Airways, passengers are held to different standards depending on the destination and class the flyer is sitting in.
“Depending on your destination, there are different rules and regulations regarding the type of clothing you should wear,” the airline stated.
“The dress code is designed to ensure passengers’ comfort and safety while traveling, so it is important to understand the rules before departing.”
Those in business class are required to be dressed in smart casual, while all flyers are not allowed to wear shorts, sportswear and “overly revealing clothing.”
“Passengers should pay attention to the dress code when traveling in business class, as it will ensure their comfort and respect for other passengers,” the airline said.
