“That’s for the Home Office to do.

“But the wasteful spending on the most expensive form of accommodation is a terrible use of taxpayers’ money.”

Reports emerged last night claiming the Home Office is quietly buying up hotels to house asylum seekers.

The move allows Labour to claim it is “ending” their use while still spending billions.

The Guido Fawkes blog said hotels in Bristol and Cardiff would be reclassified as “normal” migrant accommodation.

Home Office sources strongly denied it.

Didn’t blow any minds with his performance, but wasn’t really poor either.

Pretty standard showing from the Barclaysman defender who would’ve been a blast from the past for most watching.

Wow! He’s still got that left foot rocket in his locker, let’s just say that.

Hit the crossbar with a thunderbolt from range which alerted the keeper, before crashing home a screamer in the dying moments to level the scoring and send the game to penalties.

Textbook Riise – Liverpool can save themselves a pretty penny on signing Milos Kerkez and just bring this beast back instead.

LUKE CHAMBERS – 5

Much the same as Pascal Chimbonda, Chambers didn’t really stand out what so ever and was largely overshadowed by the bigger names on the pitch.

Mostly forgettable.

JAY-JAY OKOCHA – 7

Scored a classy header that was unfortunately ruled out by the referee, it was the same Okocha we saw against Arsenal all those years ago – just much older.

A legend of the game who still gave it his all and tried to entertain the crowd with a few silky touches and delicate passes.

Didn’t have the pace or engine he once possessed, but still impressed overall.

MOUSSA DEMBELE – 9

The man of the moment looked like he still had it, running the show in the middle of the park for his time.

You could still see echoes of the player he once was, impossible to get the ball away from and such a powerful presence with the ball at his feet.

Dominated for large parts of the game and still had the silky feet and ability to pick a pass that he always had.

RAVEL MORRISON – 5

The ex-Manchester United wonderkid probably would’ve had a better rating were it not for the brilliance either side of him.

Good on the ball and came close with a header that was flicked towards goal.

Didn’t blow anyone’s socks off, but it was a solid performance from the former Red Devil.

LEE TRUNDLE – 4

The highlight of his showing was sending KSI tumbling to the floor after a collision, but it must be said he gave it his all pulling off some of his trademark skills.

The Football League cult hero was an entertaining watch, but didn’t seem to have the end product or cutting edge he needed to get the better of the Influencer defenders all that often.

MARIO BALOTELLI – 8

The man that most were excited to see, it was just a pleasure to see Super Mario back on the pitch with a ball at his feet.

The ex-Liverpool and Manchester City striker still had a bit too, with some silky touches and passes, and a goal to boot!

There was no trademark celebration or boasting from a man who has clearly matured since his playing days – but a showing more reminiscent of a classy Italian midfielder.

Stuck around and took pictures with fans and players alike, which was lovely to see.

The star showed off her skin in the white two-piece snap taken as she took a dip in a swimming pool during a recent holiday getaway.

In order to demonstrate just how easy it is to edit images, a side-by-side image of Lorraine’s real body next to her altered bikini snap was flashed up on the screen.

The edited image heavily slimmed down the star and added more definition to her stomach area as well as a much fuller bust and smoother skin.

Laughing at the changes, Lorraine squawked: “It just shows you what you can do now.

“It depends on what you’re using it for. They did it with me, and I looked at it, and I actually laughed!

“I thought, crikey!”

Looking back at the unedited image, Lorraine quipped: “That’s more kind of normal, I’ve got a belly, who hasn’t?”

The ITV star is no stranger to stripping off and regularly wears just a bikini for an open-water swim.

A DISGRACED married teacher who allegedly hosted Scream mask orgies with teenage boys has been forced to sell her home.

Mother-of-four Brittany Fortinberry, 31 is accused of making teenagers as young as 13 have group sex with her at her Indiana home.

Her husband Nicholas has filed for divorce and the couple can no longer afford their monthly payments for the home, according to the New York Post.

The house was allegedly the site of her sick sex exploits and a stripper pole and sex toys were found inside.

Court documents claim that the former Eminence High School teacher groomed at least 10 boys – some as young as 13 – through gifts, manipulation, and disturbing sexual advances.

The math teacher from Indiana has been accused of sexual abuse of children as young as 13 with claims that she made them wear “Scream” masks and an orgy and “dreamed” about having sex with them.

One of the children told police that Fortinberry spent $600 on him and other boys at the mall and then had them wear the masks from the horror movie while she sexually abused them.

She met her alleged victims at two different Morgan County schools in 2024.

The teacher allegedly told the victims she would kill herself if they reported the abuse, charging documents claim.

One accuser harrowingly told cops that if they did not want to have sex with her, she would allegedly rape them and say, “Just let it happen” while also forcing them to watch as she abused the others.

To lure the children in and manipulate them, the Indiana educator allegedly showered the boys with expensive football gifts and plied them with drugs put into their food, according to Fox 59.

Even the sick teacher’s home was allegedly set up for her depraved activities with cops finding a stripper pole and sex toys.

The teacher is now facing more charges from prosecutors relating to five more alleged victims bringing the number of accusers up to six.

Prosecutors told TMZ that they are preparing to file 24 more felony charges against the teacher including five counts of Level 1 child molestation.

This would bring the 31-year-old’s felony charges up to 29.

As well as child molestation, she will face charges of sexual misconduct with a minor, dissemination of matter harmful to minors, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

If convicted just of the Level 1 molestation charges against her, Fortinberry could face between 20 and 40 years behind bars for each count.

This could lead to a life sentence if the judge ruled that the sentences would be served consecutively, the prosecutor said.

If found guilty of all counts, depending on her sentencing it is likely she will die behind bars.

Her husband Nicholas Fortinberry is also facing charges of intimidation and failure to report a crime for allegedly knowing about the abuse and threatening the boys to keep quiet.

The 31-year-old’s husband allegedly threatened to “slaughter” one of the victims in front of his family if he spoke out.

Detectives believe that at least 10 victims may have been targeted by Fortinberry over the years.

Authorities began investigating her in August 2024 after a 15-year-old’s grandmother reported that she had molested him, sent nude photos, and drugged him.

Since then, several more alleged victims have spoken out, with one saying he came forward because he didn’t want Fortinberry to “molest more kids.”

The teacher resigned from Eminence High School the day after the first allegations surfaced.

Fortinberry had been hired as a substitute teacher for Martinsville Schools on October 24, 2023.

She is being held without bond with a jury trial set for June 25 in Morgan Superior Court.

The Chiefs last renovated Arrowhead just 15 years ago.

But with the Chiefs’ recent Super Bowl success, the team wants a new stadium.

However, the question is whether they stay at GEHA Field at Arrowhead and rebuild it, or move to a new $3 billion stadium in Kansas.

The latter option would mean that Kelce, Mahomes, and the rest of the gang will have to move states.

The Missouri Legislature has completes its approval of a stadium funding bill for the Chiefs and the MLB‘s Kansas City Royals.

The Missouri House of Representatives voted Wednesday by a 90-58 count to send the bill to Governor Mike Kehoe.

The development comes after the state Senate last week approved a message that lets the teams bond against their state payments and, as a result, fund up to half of a new or renovated stadium for the Chiefs and Royals.

A signature is expected soon, as Kehoe has led the charge to keep the Chiefs and Royals from moving to neighboring Kansas.

The approval did come after numerous hours of legislators challenging public support for pro teams owned by billionaires and various bill technicalities.

But a majority of representatives support the bill to retain the teams that will look to continue their economic benefits to the Kansas City area and state.

“This is a zero-sum game. If we lose [the teams], the revenue we’re worried about no longer exists [in Missouri],” Rep. Keri Ingle said.

“The fact that we’d be willing to forgo that, I know we’re smarter than this.”

Ingle also called the Chiefs a “cultural phenomenon” thanks to the services of Mahomes and Kelce, whose relationship with Swift has only increased the popularity of the franchise and area.

“We’re no longer flyover country,” she said. 

SURVIVOR star Abi-Maria Gomes has claimed she got ‘ghosted’ by season 50 producers after a grueling years-long casting process in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun. 

The two-time Survivor player, who became known as the “Brazilian Dragon,” has turned into one of the biggest fan-favorites from her time on season 25 and once again delivered a strong performance for season 31’s Second Chance comeback.

Due to her fiery personality, strategic gameplay, and entertaining one-liners, Survivor fans widely considered Abi, 45, as a shoo-in to be part of the 50th season. 

However, that dream came to a screeching halt last week when host Jeff Probst announced the cast for season 50 with the shocking exclusions of favorites Abi, Jerri Manthey, Rob Cesternino, Carolyn Wiger, and many others. 

The news even came as a surprise to Abi herself, who admitted that following a grueling casting process that had lasted years, she found out with the rest of the world that she didn’t make the cut.

“They tried casting me for every other returning season, it didn’t work out. And then again, they called me this past August, [for 50] the day that I got back from Brazil with my boyfriend, and then I went through the whole process.

“And then the rug got pulled off… So it’s just like, is this becoming this toxic relationship? 

“I should just literally move on because it’s like I’m clearly giving my all, but you guys are not connecting with me. It’s so sad,” Abi admitted in an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun. 

The Goiânia, Brazil native went on to describe the lengthy process she endured: “I haven’t even gotten a true reason [for not being cast]. 

“I went through the whole process, which is really extraneous because you have to go through the psych tests and then all the questionnaires, and you’re going through things in your life that you left behind so long ago, and you’re digging through that.

“And it’s just like, you don’t even want to revisit that. So I went through all of that, and then had my Zoom meeting with Jeff and the hierarchy of CBS, which is like male, all the executives there. 

“It was a Zoom call, and then just to see all these men’s faces. Jeff was very nice. But with one of the producers, I think they played good cop, bad cop to get little reactions out of you.”

Abi then explained that during the casting process for Survivor 50, she was contacted by NBCUniversal for a potential role on Peacock’s House of Villains. 

However, when the NBC producers learned that her “heart was set” on Survivor 50, they pursued different options. 

“I was so delusional [about being cast on Survivor 50] because I didn’t have my clarity. I asked the casting department, ‘Can somebody give me an update on what’s happening?’ 

“They left me on read. They ghosted me,” she confessed. 

Although the experience was tough for Abi to go through, she tries to maintain a positive outlook on the show that made her famous. 

“It’s not even fair. I mean, I am forever grateful. I don’t want to act like a victim. It has opened doors and created a lot of opportunities. 

“But at the same time, it’s like my whole story with being an immigrant. I always have to come with extra. 

“It’s always extra. It’s always extra. It’s always more money. Somebody was asking me like, ‘Oh, but you came here legally, right? How was your story?’ 

“I’m like, ‘It was always extra, I always had to do extra and pay extra money. 

“I always had to pay for an attorney. It’s always extra. So it’s like, I always have to give extra for them, and it’s still not good enough. 

“So maybe it’s time for me to move on. It’s sad,” Abi said. 

Despite not packing her bags to live on the islands of Fiji this Summer, Abi is still thriving in her personal life. 

She’s living in Los Angeles with her longtime boyfriend and is finishing up her social and behavioral science degree that includes a major in business management. 

The reality star also has a successful history in real estate – and quipped that Netflix should “give her a call” so she can bring the Brazilian Dragon to Selling Sunset. 

Abi became one of the most buzzed-about contestants from her debut run on Survivor: Philippines in season 25 and was voted in by fans to be part of the Second Chance cast for Survivor: Cambodia in season 31.

Season 50 of Survivor began production this month and will include 24 returning players, including big names from the franchise like Mike White, Cirie Fields, Ozzy Lusth, and Angelina Keeley.
