Trump says he ‘wasn’t happy’ with Elon Musk & reveals moment X boss turned on him…but leaves the door open to reconcile

DONALD Trump has said he is “disappointed” with Elon Musk following their public row last week – but has left the door open to making amends with the billionaire.

The president made the remarks to Miranda Devine on the debut episode of the New York Post’s Pod Force One podcast.

Trump weighs in on whether he might reconcile with Musk[/caption]

While he made it clear he wasn’t happy with the spat, Trump left the door open to a reconciliation – although said he doesn’t see it as a priority.

“Look, I have no hard feelings,” Trump told the podcast.

“I was really surprised that that happened. He went after a bill that’s phenomenal.

“He just — I think he feels very badly that he said that, actually.”

Musk and Trump’s online row ignited last week, with the pair exchanging barbs over social media channels.

The Tesla and SpaceX boss blasted Trump’s flagship spending bill, which he believes with further balloon the US national debt.

Musk also shared posts on X suggesting Trump was named in the “Epstein files” and calling for the president to be impeached.

He has since expressed regret over “some” of the comments he made during the row.

Trump hit back at Musk on Truth Social, suggesting the billionaire is a “big-time drug addict”.

“I was disappointed in him, but, you know, it is what it is”, Trump told the podcast.

“That happens. Things like that happen. I don’t blame him for anything. I was a little disappointed.”

Just days before their falling out, Trump had held a send-off for Musk in the Oval Office as the billionaire bowed out of his government role.

When asked by Devine whether Trump could get back on warmer terms with Musk, the president didn’t rule out a reconciliation.

He said: “I guess I could, but we have to straighten out the country.

“And my sole function now is getting this country back to a level higher than it’s ever been. And I think we can do that.”

Trump added that “Elon agrees” with the merchandised catchphrase “Trump was right about everything”.

It marks a change of tone from Trump just days after he said Musk had “lost his mind.”

Devine asked him: “You said he had problems. What kind of problems? I mean, is it the drugs?”

“I don’t know what his problem is, really. I don’t know,” Trump replied.

“I haven’t thought too much about him in the last little while, but the bill is so good.”

Musk had been one of Trump’s most ardent supporters during last year’s presidential election.

But he hasn’t shied away from criticising some of the administration’s policies, such as around tariffs.

While Musk has backed down from some of his most strident comments about Trump last week, it remains unclear if the pair will fully reconcile.

Trump had warned there would be “serious consequences” if Musk financially backed his political opponents.

Secret signs Aaron Rodgers got married from Kentucky Derby ‘ring’ to Pat McAfee Show ‘menace’ remarks

THE signs were there that Aaron Rodgers tied the knot earlier this year.

The newly signed Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback told the world that he got married a “couple months” ago during Tuesday’s mandatory minicamp.

Rodgers signed his one-year, $13.5 million contract last weekend after an offseason filled with uncertainty about his future.

While Rodgers had to decide whether he wanted to continue his 20-year NFL career, the four-time NFL MVP revealed that he was dealing with “personal matters” which delayed his decision.

But the secret signs were there that Rodgers’ mind was also on his private relationship to the point that he was married, which would turn out to be fact.

In December, Rodgers first shared on ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show that he was in a relationship with a mystery woman named Brittani.

Then, in April, he revealed on the same program that the relationship was “serious.”

Weeks later, Rodgers turned heads with his appearance at the Kentucky Derby.

He was seen with a wedding band on his ring finger at Churchill Downs in Louisville.

Marriage rumors would surround the quarterback.

His close friend Pat McAfee labeled him “an absolute menace” about the situation.

McAfee’s co-host, AJ Hawk, who is Rodgers’ buddy and former Green Bay Packers teammate, didn’t have an answer about Rodgers’ relationship status.

Rodgers would reveal another hint that he was hitched when TMZ posted a video of him being seen with a ring on his finger again.

The video was taken at the Mike. concert in Austin, Texas.

And finally, Rodgers caused a stir when fans spotted he was rocking a black band on his ring finger in a photo of him signing his one-year contract, which is worth a maximum of $19.5 million.

He would announce his first marriage just days later.

It hasn’t been confirmed whether Rodgers’ mystery woman, Brittani, is his wife.

Rodgers has kept his relationships private throughout his NFL career.

He has had numerous relationships with celebrities, including racing car driver Danica Patrick and actresses Olivia Munn and Shailene Woodley.

Rodgers was engaged to Woodley, but they separated a year after he proposed to her in 2022.

Costco gives Starbucks run for its money as it quietly rolls out ‘refreshing’ $2.99 food court treat in time for summer

COSTCO has quietly rolled out its $2.99 food court treat for summer, giving industry giant Starbucks a run for its money.

The major warehouse retailer has brought out the sweet drink to a wave of fan interest online, but some believe it to be too sweet.

One eagle-eyed Costco customer announced the new Frozen Strawberry Lemonade drink, along with the Cold Brew Mocha Freeze.

It was revealed on the social media platform Reddit this week, and fans have been debating it ever since.

The caption of the post said: ” New Frozen Strawberry Lemonade with BIG Chunks of Strawberries $2.99 Folsom, CA.”

The image shows a drink strikingly resembling the Starbucks Blended Strawberry Lemonade.

One of the main differences is in the calorie count, with the Costco version having 250 and the Starbucks one at 190.

In the comments of the Reddit thread, many praised the new item and expressed how much they wanted to try it.

One person said: “I can confirm this is delicious. I went to my local Costco in Michigan today and made sure to grab one.

“The only problem was I finished most of it before I got home, so the wife wasn’t too pleased.”

Another wrote: “I can report, this was delicious and perfect for a hot summer day.”

And a third added: “Tried it yesterday, very good!! The strawberries are a great touch.”

TOO SWEET

Meanwhile, some think the Costco drinks look too sweet, and are using the high calorie count as justification.

A sceptical customer noted about the Mocha Freeze at 580 calories: “Good grief, 580 calories! That’s like a full meal’s worth of calories- for a beverage.

“To burn that many calories you would have to run 5 miles.”

And another said: “Too sweet and straw too small with the strawberry chunks. Won’t get again.”

Costco classic food court items

  • Hot Dog with Soda – $1.50
  • Pepperoni or Cheese Pizza slice – $1.99
  • Rotisserie Chicken Caesar Salad – $6.99
  • Turkey and Swiss Sandwich – $6.99
  • Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie – $2.49

“11.5 teaspoons of sugar in that mocha freeze”, another moaned.

It is not clear if the two new Costco drinks are available nationwide, as some in the comments also said they could not get them.

For example, one shopper reported not having it yet in Glenview, Illinois.

However, it has been confirmed in Coralville, Iowa.

The Starbucks version allows a greater level of customization, it is important to note.

The coffee chain allows you to get the drink in its three signature sizes, tall, grande and venti.

Also, you can choose what you taste, as you can modify the strawberry puree put in and the kind of lemonade you get.

‘Absurd’ – Kelsey Plum calls out WNBA officiating in expletive-laden rant following Caitlin Clark controversy

LOS ANGELES SPARKS star Kelsey Plum put WNBA officials on full blast in an explosive expletive-laden tirade after the loss to the Golden State Valkyries.

The Sparks lost 89-81 on overtime at their Crypto.com Arena, which dropped their win-loss record to 3-7.

This comes after Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark’s confrontation with referees

And Plum, 30, was furious with the referees after the match, which handed Los Angeles their fourth defeat in their last five games.

The point guard passionately claimed there were specific instances in which she felt officials missed calls.

The three-time WNBA All-Star understood her rant could land her a hefty fine but decided to take the risk anyway.

Plum said: “I’m going to get fined for saying this, but I drive more than anyone in the league. So to shoot six free throws is f****** absurd.

“I got scratches on my face, I got scratches on my body and these guards on the other team get these ticky-tack fouls and I’m sick of it.

“I get fouled like that every possession. [Sparks ace] Rickea [Jackson] gets fouled like that in the post all the time and they don’t call it. I don’t know what else to do. But it’s really frustrating though.

“There are multiple shots at the end of the game, either going into the third, into the fourth, where they’re just coming and f****** swinging and they just don’t call anything.

“I don’t understand how that’s — six free throws. I’m playing 40 minutes, touching the paint on almost every play. It’s absurd. It’s absurd.

“So I’m saying I’ll get fined for that and that’s fine, but I mean — and I needed to make more shots like late-game — but they’re fouling the s*** out of me every single play. I’m very frustrated with that.

“And I’m sick of it. I’m sick of it. I don’t know what I need to do. I’ve talked to the refs nice, I pray before the game. Like, f***. I’m over it.”

This comes after fellow WNBA star Caitlin Clark appeared to express her own frustrations with the refs.

Indiana Fever superstar Clark, 23, watched her team lose to the Washington Mystics last month from the bench as she was dealing with a quad injury.

The point guard stepped onto the court at a timeout and was seen remonstrating with a referee over a decision.

Girl, 3, killed on cam in ‘human sacrifice by her mum’ as she was ‘dressed in white & spoke in ritual to expel spirits’

THE MOTHER of a three-year-old girl has been on suspicion of killing her child in a shocking “ritual murder”.

The girl’s horrifying death in Ukraine has been met with appalled reactions from residents.

Graphic designer and artist Yuliia Doloshytska, 32, had picked up her child from nursery ahead of the tragic incident.

The girl Alyna Petryv was made to wear “a white dress, a wreath, [and] forced to read various words from rituals….to drive out evil spirits,” according to reports.

Her mother is alleged to have filmed this “sacrifice”, according to neighbours in Kalush in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Residents reportedly heard screams during the night and called the police.

Officers managed to get access to the property in the morning, where they found the girl had been “drowned in the bath”.

The child had also been “stabbed” according to some accounts.

The cops had got the key from the landlord instead of breaking down the door, reports say.

The mother was present at the scene when the police arrived, according to officers.

“She did not provide any explanation,” said a police statement.

“In the course of the initial check, law enforcement officers recovered elaborate evidence that indicates the 32-year-old woman’s involvement in premeditated murder.”

The mother is a divorcee who had lived in the Czech Republic with the child for part of the war.

She is reported to have returned to Ukraine just six weeks ago.

The woman was not registered with psychiatric doctors, according to the police.

“She lived alone in a rented apartment with the child,” the statement adds.

A murder investigation has now been opened by cops.

The woman, who has been detained, was informed she is suspected of killing Alyna.

The child’s Ukrainian father reportedly still lives in the Czech Republic.

Her church funeral was attended by shocked neighbours and family members.

Local publication Kalush Informator reported: “People shaken by this tragedy, brought children’s toys in addition to wreaths and flowers.”

One eulogy said: “What a beautiful girl, what a HORROR! How is this possible?”

Danica Patrick faces major schedule decision after F1 calendar for 2026 season throws up huge clash

DANICA Patrick faces a busy summer in 2026 after the Formula One schedule was confirmed.

Nascar icon Patrick, 43, has moved into a broadcast career after her hugely-successful run behind the wheel.

Patrick worked on Fox’s coverage last month of the Indy 500, the most prestigious race in America.

She also appears on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom to cover select Formula One races.

Patrick is a regular for North American-based races and some other dates on the F1 calendar.

Bosses this week released the entire race schedule for the 2026 F1 season.

It featured some major changes, which could lead to a headache for Patrick.

The iconic Monaco Grand Prix was pushed back from May into June.

The race in the principality off the south of France is one of the biggest days in the F1 calendar.

And that has often been staged on the same weekend as the Indy 500.

Motorsport fans can watch the race in Europe before the US-based race kicks in.

But 2026 will instead see the Canadian Grand Prix take place on the same weekend as the Indy 500.

The 110th running of the Indy 500 will be staged on Sunday 24 May, 2026.

And at the very same time, F1 will be in Montreal for the Canadian Grand Prix.

The Canada race is usually staged in June, like it is in 2025.

Patrick now faces a dilemma on which race she’ll be able to cover.

The 43-year-old recently appeared on coverage of the Miami Grand Prix for Sky Sports.

There are two more US-based races to come in 2025 where she is likely to be seen.

Those are the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas on October 19 and the Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 22.

Patrick recently gave a rare insight into her personal life.

Patrick was quizzed about her relationship by Haley Dillon, the wife of current NASCAR driver Ty Dillon, during an appearance on the Believe In The Good podcast.

Haley asked her: “Are you single right now?”

Patrick replied: “Yeah.” Haley then joked that she was “interested to see who’s sliding into my DMs to get to your DMs”.

Patrick later made a sexually-charged comment, saying: “That makes me screwed… so screwed… not literally, either.”

Harrowing moment plane comes terrifyingly close to helicopter as it takes off at airport

BONECHILLING video has captured the moment an airplane appeared to barely miss a hovering helicopter while taking off from the runway.

The plane appeared to swerve quickly and desperately avoid a mid-air tragedy.

Surveillance footage captured the tense moment[/caption]

Surveillance footage showed the Phenom 300 executive jet taking off from the runway as the chopper flew overhead.

They seemed to almost collide mid-air in terrifying scenes filmed at the Costa Esmeralda Airport in Porto Belo, south of São Paulo, Brazil, on Sunday.

The small airfield does not have a control tower.

After the footage was shared online, one local posted on X, “Looks like a go-around by the aircraft on approach to accommodate the takeoff of the departing aircraft.

“Sequence spacing didn’t quite work out.”

Another person said, “Didn’t they coordinate between aircraft?

“Someone screwed up.”

But another video, taken from a different angle, appeared to show that there was a much greater distance between the two aircraft.

The clip, filmed by Henrique Garcia, showed that the helicopter was further ahead of the jet than first thought.

Airfield administrator Tiago Neves said the two pilots were in contact throughout the takeoff, as reported by What’s The Jam.

He told local media, “The occurrence is absolutely normal, the two aircraft were being coordinated, and the two pilots had communication with each other.

“The video that was released creates sensationalism as the angle makes it seem like the aircraft are very close, which does not correspond to reality.”

Neves pointed out that the airfield does not have a control tower, and pilots carry out procedures via communication and visual contact.

He said the helicopter’s approach occurred outside the runway so as not to interrupt the jet’s takeoff.

He added, “It is common for the tower, when there is one, or the pilots themselves, when at uncontrolled airfields, to coordinate the approach.

“That’s why the helicopter goes directly to the grassy area.

“Everything was done responsibly and within normal limits.”

The video surfaced just months after a Black Hawk crashed into a plane as it was landing in Washington DC.

The horrific accident left all 67 people on board the two aircraft dead.

And another helicopter wrecked in New York City in April, killing all six people on board.

Common household appliances to be banned from homes under new ‘smog’ law – and it means new fines

COMMON household appliances like water heaters and furnaces face a phaseout under new smog rules.

Sellers who continue to offer natural gas models will pay fees as well.

Consumers won’t have to swap out current gas appliances (stock image)[/caption]

The South Coast Air Quality Management District will vote Friday on regulations pushing manufacturers to sell more zero-emission heating units in the Los Angeles basin.

Under the proposed plan, starting in 2027, at least 30% of the water heaters and heating systems sold must be zero-emission.

The rules apply to the four-county Los Angeles basin, where home appliances are a major source of smog-causing pollution.

Homeowners, however, won’t have to swap out their current gas appliances right away.

But when it’s time to replace any broken heaters, only zero-emission heat pumps will be encouraged.

The district estimates that about 200,000 furnaces and 300,000 water heaters will be replaced yearly in the region.

Switching to electric heat pumps may cost more upfront, around $2,000 extra for water heaters and $8,000 more for furnaces, but full HVAC system replacements can be comparable in price to gas units.

Contractors and developers argue that the fees usually paid by manufacturers will now be passed to residents and businesses, which will raise the cost of living.

“This money is not coming out of thin air,” Brian Johsz of the Los Angeles County Business Federation said.

“It’s a solution in search of a problem in a lot of ways. It’s just putting the financial burden on residents when we are already seeing they have such a hard time trying to make ends meet right now.”

SoCalGas also criticized the plan, warning it limits choices and increases costs.

“Over time, the public will be forced to pay hundreds of dollars more to replace their gas appliances,” Kevin Barker, SoCalGas senior manager, wrote in a letter to the district, per the Santa Monica Daily Press.

“It is not in the public interest, especially at a time when consumers are demanding affordable energy solutions.”

Air quality officials counter that electric heaters will save consumers money over time.

What the New Smog Law Means

Appliances impacted:

  • Natural gas water heaters
  • Central heating systems
  • Furnaces

What’s changing:

  • Manufacturers must sell more zero-emission models or pay a fee for each gas unit sold

Timeline:

  • 30% zero-emission by 2027
  • 50% by 2029
  • 75% by 2033
  • 90% by 2036

Penalties:

  • $50 to $500 per gas appliance sold

Consumer impact:

  • No immediate replacement required
  • Replacing a furnace with a heat pump could cost $8,000 more
  • Water heater switch may cost $2,000 more

Goal: Cut nitrogen oxide emissions by 6 tons/day by 2061

Health savings: $59 billion projected between 2027 and 2053

Between 2027 and 2061, residents could save $191 million to $250 million annually on utility bills by switching.

Manufacturers can either sell only zero-emission units by 2027 or pay fees for gas appliance sales.

The collected fees will support incentives for low-income buyers.

Environmentalists say the rules do not go far enough.

“There are still a lot of emission reductions that are being left on the table,” Chris Chavez of the Clean Air Coalition said.

The original plan demanded 100% zero-emission sales by 2031 but was weakened after pushback from gas companies and businesses.

The current draft raises targets gradually: 30% zero-emission sales in 2027, 50% in 2029, 75% in 2033, and 90% in 2036.

Fees for natural gas appliance sales range from $500 down to $50 per unit.

By 2061, 90% of all water heaters and furnaces in the region should be zero-emissions.

REDUCTION PLANS

The district projects the proposal will reduce nitrogen oxide emissions by six tons daily, down from the original 10 tons forecast.

“We’ve seen the Trump administration really waging a war on clean energy,” said Sierra Club attorney Nihal Shrinath.

“The South Coast (district) basically caving to gas lobbying efforts and really weakening a rule they have been working on for years.”

Nitrogen oxides cause smog and trigger asthma, while fine particles increase risks of heart and respiratory diseases.

The district estimates $59 billion in health cost savings from pollution reductions between 2027 and 2053.

Annual benefits include preventing 280 new asthma cases, 44 emergency room visits, and 6,100 lost school days.

The Bay Area already enforces similar zero-emission rules for water heaters and furnaces.

Cities like Los Angeles and Long Beach support the new rules, while other cities like Huntington Beach and Riverside have opposed them.

The South Coast district’s board will hold a public hearing and vote on the measures June 13, 2025, updating emissions rules first enacted decades ago.

American families will receive $500 monthly payments through a new program – and there’s still time to apply

An image collage containing 1 images, Image 1 shows Family looking at a tablet together on a couch

SELECT families can get hundreds in checks every month through a brand new program.

The direct payment opportunity is about to begin, and applications remain open for those who qualify.

Through a partnership between the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation (BTCF) and the Greater Hudson Promise Neighborhood (GHPN), a two-year guaranteed income program will provide money to select residents in Columbia County, New York.

A total of 42 families will get monthly funds worth $500 throughout the 24-month period for a total of $12,000 each.

Only two crucial criteria must be met by families who apply, aside from them residing in Columbia county.

First, they must earn no more than 80% of the median income for the county.

According to data provided on GHPN’s website, that’s around $72,150 for a two-person household with one adult and one child.

Other median income data for household sizes up to eight persons is detailed on the page.

Secondly, applicants must have at least one child that’s under the age of six.

MOVE FAST

For those who are eligible that apply, selections will be made through a lottery system for the cash payouts.

The deadline to apply is also coming up fast on July 1, leaving Columbia County families less than a month to take action.

Kelly Sweet, Interim Director of Philanthropic Services at BTCF, emphasized that the mission is that those families selected would find financial stability.

“The simplicity of guaranteed income is powerful — it’s direct, effective, and rooted in trust,” Sweet said in a statement to iHeart Hudson Valley.

“This initiative is about more than money — it’s about stability, dignity, and opportunity for families during the most important years of a child’s life.”

BTCF also noted that similar programs conducted nationwide already have data showing a significant positive impact on American families.

Overall physical, mental and relational health improved.

How does Guaranteed Income work?

Guaranteed Income and Universal Basic Income programs have taken off in popularity recently.

After the Biden administration’s American Rescue Plan of 2021 sent stimulus money to local governments, dozens began testing guaranteed income (GI) systems.

The specifics vary, but GI typically involves payouts to people with low incomes. Unlike traditional welfare, there are no job requirements, drug tests, or other strings attached.

Some have pushed for a Universal Basic Income (UBI), which would go to everyone regardless of how much money they make at work. Alaska has used a similar system since the 1970s.

Proponents say this alleviates poverty while incentivizing work, unlike classic welfare, which cuts benefits from people who begin earning “too much” money to qualify.

Opponents argue such a system is too expensive to function on a large scale and suggest Americans should avoid becoming reliant on government money.

With some cities heralding the success of GI programs, some Republican-led states have moved to ban them. States like Texas and Iowa, for example, have undermined major spending plans by pushing against GI.

During this two-year program, GHPN will also head the administrative efforts, answering any questions and supporting the 42 selected families throughout the process.

“This initiative is designed to help families meet basic needs, spend more time with their children, and pursue work, education, or training for a stronger future,” Joan Hunt, executive director of GHPN, explained in a statement.

“It is part of a broader effort to provide practical and transformative support to families in need.”

MOMS IN MIND

An ongoing program in Ohio also seeks to offer security and improved financial health for single mothers.
