Carlos Tevez needs just TEN MINUTES to score more Old Trafford goals in 2025 than Man Utd flops Hojlund and Zirkzee

MANCHESTER UNITED nemesis Carlos Tevez needed just 10 minutes to score more goals at Old Trafford this year than flops Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

The Argentine antagonist played the role of arch-villain as he climbed off the bench to help a World XI down England at Soccer Aid on Sunday.

Tevez ended up netting four goals as World XI beat England at Soccer Aid[/caption]

Wayne Rooney and Co stormed into a 3-0 lead at the Theatre of Dreams, with the result seemingly beyond doubt as incredible fans raised £15million in donations.

But having come on at half-time, Wazza’s former United teammate Tevez made a game-changing impact.

The 41-year-old, who infamously left the Red Devils for rivals Manchester City in 2009, scored two goals in as many minutes to drag the World XI back into the game.

England then went 4-2 up thanks to Jerman Defoe’s second effort of the night.

But Tevez scrapped to help himself to a second brace, taking his tally to four goals and levelling the scoreline at 4-4.

Big Zuu then stepped up to net a dramatic winner for the World XI after Tevez turned the game on its head.

And he now has more goals at Old Trafford in 2025 than current United strikers Hojlund and Zirkzee combined.

Indeed, it was a fairly simple task to just get ahead of each forward as neither man had scored more than once at the Theatre of Dreams this year.

Hojlund’s sole home strike came in the 4-1 Europa League win over Athletic Bilbao, with United having already been 3-0 up from the first leg of the semi final in Spain.

As for Zirkzee, he netted in February’s 2-1 FA Cup fourth round win over relegated Leicester.

And Tevez was only on the pitch for 10 minutes when he hit his first double, immediately taking him above both of United’s misfits.

Fans were quick to react, with one saying: “Even when the season is over, there is no hiding from the banter.”

Another declared: “Cooked.”

One noted: “Tevez loved every second of it.”

Another added: “Rivalry never dies.”

Ex-West Ham and Juventus striker Tevez was only at Old Trafford as a United player for two years but made a major impact with 34 goals in 99 games.

He won consecutive Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson while also lifting the Champions League in 2008.

During his previous spell at West Ham, Tevez became a legend for saving the Irons from relegation.

While at City, he helped himself to another title before winning two Serie As at Juventus.

Tevez’s glittering career also saw him turned out for Corinthians, Shanghai Shenhua and Boca Juniors — where he began and ended his club career while also landing four titles and a Copa Libertadores.

The striker also played 76 times for Argentina but lost three Copa America finals.

After retiring in 2021, Tevez moved into management with Rosario Central a year later.

He then took charge of Independiente before leaving in 2024 and has yet to return to the dugout.

I never liked our boring patio but couldn’t afford to replace it – I transformed it with Amazon hacks & saved thousands

Fed up with a dull, uninspiring patio but worried about the cost of replacing it?

One homeowner has revealed their clever solution, turning their “boring grey” outdoor space into something they’re “really pleased with” using an affordable Amazon trick – and saving thousands in the process.

They have managed to save thousands by doing it themselves[/caption]

Rather than spending a fortune on brand-new paving, they discovered a savvy buy on Amazon.

The gardening enthusiasts came across stencils, offering a budget-friendly and creative way to breathe new life into their existing patio.

By adding a decorative pattern, they managed to give their outdoor area a stylish makeover without the hefty price tag or hassle of a full renovation.

Taking to the Facebook group On A Budget, the homeowners shared impressive before-and-after photos of their transformed garden.

While a new patio installation can cost anywhere from £3,000 to £6,000 or more, these creative DIYers used stencils priced between £10 and £15 to achieve a stunning result-all by themselves.

Transforming your patio has never been easier with custom-made stencils like the Stencil for Garden Patio Paving Slabs set.

This set includes two stencils featuring the Zarzis pattern, measuring 45x45cm.

Using two stencils not only saves time but also offers flexibility for your project-you can even cut one stencil down to fit those tricky, awkward spaces, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.

Whether you want to refresh your patio or add a decorative touch, these stencils are the perfect solution for an affordable, stylish transformation.

This clever idea proves that a bit of creativity and accessible products can completely transform a space without breaking the bank.

Many people rushed to the comments section of the post which showed off before and after pictures of the patio.

One wrote: “That looks amazing.”

A second added: “Fab. Makes such a difference.”

And a third commented: “Wow. Amazing.”

June gardening jobs

The Sun's Gardening Editor, Veronica Lorraine, has shared the tasks you should take this month.

Stake out leggy perennials

With all the dramatic weather we’ve been having, it’s definitely time to stake out your leggy perennials (the ones that come back every year). Heavy rain and growth spurts, can make them collapse and flop.

Picking out the slugs and snails

Hopefully as we move into summer they  will do less damage as the plants get bigger.  The best way is still to go out at night with a head torch to find them.

Pick elderflower heads

You can use them to make your own cordial, or add to cakes, champagne or even fry them in batter.

Get on top of weeds

It’s around now that weeds really ramp up in the garden, so keep on top of them with hoe-ing – or just the traditional ‘on your knees with a hand fork’. Try and avoid chemicals – remember weeds are just plants in the wrong place.

Up the mowing

You’ll need to mow your lawn weekly now – if you’ve got time, weed it beforehand as once you mow you chop off the leaves and its harder to see them.

Check on your tomatoes

Your tomato plants will need attention – water, feed and regularly and pinch out the sideshoots.

Chelsea Chop

There’s still time for the Chelsea Chop – plants like Rudbeckia’s, Asters, Penstemons, Sedums and other perennials can be cut back by a third to help them get a bit more bushy, and prolong the flowering period.

Sort out your tulips

If you can be bothered and have space – lift and story your tulip  bulbs to ensure colour next Spring.

Deadheading your roses

Take them down to the first set of healthy leaves – which will ensure more flowers for longer.

Enjoy your space

Take some time to sit and enjoy your garden or outside space – it’s great for your mental health. Even just a few minutes a day can make a big difference.

Molly-Mae tells Tommy Fury ‘you were made to be a dad’ in Father’s Day post and jokes she’s a ‘third wheel’

MOLLY-MAE Hague posted an emotional tribute to baby-daddy Tommy Fury gushing he was “made to be a dad” following the pair’s reunion.

The Love Island alum, 26 – who recently confirmed she and the boxer, also 26, had rekindled their romance – then joked she was the “third wheel” in their family dynamic with daughter Bambi, aged two.

Molly-Mae had a busy working day on Sunday, failing to mark Father’s Day on her Instagram page until the evening.

Following the launch of her latest Maebe fashion collection, the mum of one took to her Stories to upload a snap showing Tommy‘s celebratory cake emblazoned with the phrase: “Love you daddy.”

It sat perched on a table filled with images of him and Bambi, as well as a piece of painting art created by the tot.

The influencer then shared a black and white snapshot showing daddy and daughter cuddling in bed, with Molly-Mae posting a sweet message alongside it which read: “You are the most patient, calm, kind and loving daddy ever.

“Watching the way you love our little girl is one of my favourite things in the world … it’s completely unconditional.

“You were truly made to be a dad. Happy Father’s Day.”

The Filter tan brand founder – who split briefly with Tommy last year – then posted a candid snap showing the trio in bed.

Bambi was seen snuggling up to her dad, who was fast asleep.

Molly-Mae could be seen on the other side of the little girl tapping on her phone.

She joked with fans and wrote: “I remember the days I didn’t have to third wheel.”

The proud mum then added of Bambi: “The definition of a daddy’s girl.”

It came after the little family enjoyed a getaway to a stunning Cotswolds retreat.

The family stayed at the luxury Estelle Manor, where rooms start from £700-a-night.

Molly-Mae’s images at the time showed off the venue’s amazing pool area and some of the views.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury - Reunion Clues

MOLLY-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury are on holiday in Dubai after splitting in August. Yet have they dropped clues about their reunion before?

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury appear to have confirmed their romance is back on with a joint holiday to Dubai.

Yet in January, the rumour mill had already started turning on their reunion after pics of Molly-Mae’s NYE snog with the boxer resurfaced

In February, Tommy, 25, then gushed how “life has been looking up” after the pair’s romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day.

The Sun exclusively revealed how the pair were spotted “canoodling” on their cute getaway.

During the same month, Tommy was also spotted leaving Molly-Mae’s Molly Maison home in his G Wagon in the early hours.

Fans then spotted clues the pair had spent another romantic weekend together earlier this spring.

Molly-Mae was also heard discussing having a second baby on her vlog, in yet another potential sign they are giving their romance another go.

She wrote: “More weekends like this please.”

LOVE STORY

The couple split up last summer but shared a New Year’s Eve kiss and then headed off on a loved-up trip for Valentine’s Day last month.

After months of keeping fans guessing, last month Molly gave her followers an update on her and Tommy.

In one of her YouTube videos, she said the pair are “figuring things out”.

She revealed that she’s now spending time living at both her own home and at the house she previously shared with Tommy – a property they had intended to settle in as a family.

The couple then revealed they have rekindled their romance and make things official during the recent part of Molly-Mae’s Amazon docuseries later last month.

During episode six, Molly revealed that she and Tommy were back on.

During a heartwarming conversation, Molly praised Tommy for turning his life around – saying “the version of who he is right now is one of the best I’ve seen”.

During the phone call, Tommy tells Molly: “I want to see that face for eternity.”

Molly replies: “Why are you being silly?”

A smitten Tommy gushes: “Not being silly just stating facts.”

Molly then admits to the camera: “How we are right now is the reason that I’ve sort of held on this whole time to us, because I know just how amazing we can be.

“We’re really like heading to a good place at the minute, and the version of who he is right now is one of the best I’ve seen.

“Maybe If this carries on, each day that goes past, the days turn into weeks, the weeks turn into months, and the next thing you know, we’ve had years go by just being this consistent, amazing couple that I know we can be.”

In January, Tommy revealed his battle with booze was behind their break-up.

Angry Ginge calls former Man Utd star a ‘TW*T’ as he shows off gash on his leg after crunching tackle at Soccer Aid

YOUTUBER Angry Ginge called Carlos Tevez a “TW*T” after his crunching challenge on the ex-Manchester United star left a huge gash.

Die-hard United fan Ginge – real name Morgan Burtwistle – clattered Tevez – who infamously left Old Trafford for City.

But Ginge was bearing the brunt of the challenge[/caption]

But the popular streamer was left bearing the brunt of the challenge as he showed off the aftermath of the collision.

Revealing his bruised and cut ankle, Ginge wrote: “Cheers Tevez. Tw*t.”

England – managed by boxing legend Tyson Fury who accidentally swore on live TV during his pre-match speech – were 3-0 up at one point.

But Tevez sparked a remarkable comeback with FOUR goals – celebrating each one by gesturing the crowd that had booed him.

The game was tied at 4-4 when rapper and TV personality Big Zuu – real name Zuhair Hassan – scored the winner past Take Me Out presenter Paddy McGuinness with just minutes remaining.

Zuu said: “I don’t care if it’s Paddy, I don’t care if it’s David James, I don’t care if it’s Joe Hart. No likey, no lighty.”

All four of England’s goalscorers were former international strikers.

Ex-Tottenham star Jermain Defoe got a double after United legend Wayne Rooney and Toni Duggan had put England 2-0 up.

Rooney – who shared managerial duties with Fury – made Soccer Aid history by scoring just four minutes into the game.

And he did so against former team-mate Edwin van der Sar.

A huge £15MILLION was raised for children’s charity Unicef in the 14th edition of the annual charity football match.

My crazed ex broke in as my son slept, wrote on my walls in blood & sexually assaulted me… secret phone trick saved me

HEARING an almighty bang, Charlotte Whomsley was startled awake.

Realising the noise was the sound of her front door banging open, the mum-of-two was struck by terror – she wasn’t expecting anyone.

The next thing she knew, an intruder was towering over her, but the mum-of-one quickly recognised the man inside her home as her violent ex, Lee Young.

Charlotte, 36, from Lincolnshire, was asleep on her sofa when he broke into her home whilst her son slept upstairs.

The quick-thinking mum used a trick she’d learned from a domestic violence Facebook post years before – she pressed her iPhone side button five times to secretly call the police.

It was then that Young, 39, from Leicester, horrifically sexually assaulted her – but the attack was recorded and listened to by police, before a team stormed the house to Charlotte’s rescue.

Charlotte has spoken exclusively to The Sun about her harrowing ordeal for the first time to raise awareness for domestic abuse victims and help save lives.

The bath and body shop owner says: “If I hadn’t known the emergency phone trick, who knows what else Lee would have done that night.

He used trackers to watch my house. He made me fear for my life every day.

Charlotte Whomsley

“I pray nobody finds themselves in a situation like I did. But if you do, please remember all smartphones have a way of calling emergency services quickly and discreetly.

“Make sure you know yours, as it might save your life. It saved mine.”

In 2014, Charlotte and Young worked together at a coach company. She worked in the garage MOT side, and Young was a coach driver.

She says: “Lee was in and out of the office every day, between his drives.

“We didn’t get close until the next year when I’d just given birth to my second child. I was suffering badly with post-partum depression.

“On top of that, his dad and I had broken up just before he was born. We already had another son, aged 5.

“It was a horrendous time in my life. I was very low and at my most vulnerable.

“I found myself drawn to Lee as he gave me compliments each day. He cheered me up a lot.”

‘Living hell’

The following year, in 2016, Charlotte and Young started dating but the relationship became turbulent right away.

Charlotte claims Young became “paranoid, controlling and jealous”.

She says: “He would call me disgusting and ask who’d ever want me. He was convinced I still loved my ex and accused me of having affairs.

“He used trackers to watch my house. He made me fear for my life every day.

“The mental torment was worse. I constantly tried to end things, but whenever I did, he’d harass or blackmail me.

“He sent hundreds of texts a day, calling me a s**g, tramp and threatening me.”

In one day, Charlotte claims she would have over 200 missed calls from Young. She’d blocked him, yet he’d call from unknown numbers.

He sent her photos of his blood splattered on the floor, some of him with head injuries, displaying bandages wrapped around his head.

Charlotte says: “I’d get new phones but he’d get my new number from work.

“Terrified he’d kill himself, I’d end up replying or answering the phone. Checking he was okay.

“For three years, we were on and off as I made numerous failed attempts to escape him. He made my life a living hell.”

In May 2019, Charlotte finally cut ties for good. But Young’s vile emails, texts and calls worsened.

Charlotte says: “He made fake profiles on social media, messaging me.

“Then the next month Lee smashed through my house door with a hammer, destroying my cars and popping the tyres.

“I was horrified. I stood in the kitchen begging him to leave me alone, calling 999. I had him arrested.

“Police boarded up my door and windows, they installed a special alarm, and I also installed my own CCTV.”

Domestic abuse - how to get help

DOMESTIC abuse can affect anyone - including men - and does not always involve physical violence.

Here are some signs that you could be in an abusive relationship:

  • Emotional abuse – Including being belittled, blamed for the abuse – gaslighting – being isolated from family and friends, having no control over your finances, what you where and who you speak to
  • Threats and intimidation – Some partners might threaten to kill or hurt you, destroy your belongings, stalk or harass you
  • Physical abuse – This can range from slapping or hitting to being shoved over, choked or bitten.
  • Sexual abuse – Being touched in a way you do not want to be touched, hurt during sex, pressured into sex or forced to have sex when you do not consent.

If any of the above apply to you or a friend, you can call these numbers:

Remember, you are not alone.

1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience domestic abuse over the course of their lifetime.

Every 30 seconds the police receive a call for help relating to domestic abuse.

But Charlotte says that Young wasn’t deterred and found other ways to torment her.

She explains: “He’d send me naked photos of myself taken from when were together. He wrote underneath, ‘Shame if anyone saw these.’

“I had to see him at work too. I was caring for my sons and dealing with this all. I couldn’t cope.

“Eventually, in July that year, I got a molestation order against him, banning him from coming anywhere near me. I hoped it was over but I knew nothing would stop him.

“I worried every day that he’d come to kill me or the kids one day.”

I finally heard police sirens. The 999 trick had worked

Charlotte Whomsley

Horror break-in

Later that year, Charlotte tried to move on with her life, and began dating someone new.

In November 2019, after she’d been seeing a new man for a few weeks, things were quiet from Young.

She says: “I hadn’t been stalked or harassed by him in weeks.

“One evening, I went out on a date again. We went to a drag queen show.

“My brother came over to babysit my youngest whilst my eldest was staying at a friend’s for a sleepover.”

The assault left Charlotte bruised and battered but she was able to record the whole thing on her iPhone[/caption]

At around 1:30am, Charlotte came back to her home alone, where her brother and son were sleeping upstairs.

“Not wanting to disturb them, I drifted off to sleep on the sofa,” she recalls.

“But moments later, I woke to the front door slamming.

“I saw Lee towering over me. He looked scruffy and was slurring his words. I think he’d been drinking or taking drugs.

“I realised he’d broken in. I shouted at him to leave me alone and go away. But Lee was screaming at me for being a ‘whore’ and how he’d seen me with another man.

“I was terrified and immediately thought of my son upstairs. He was my priority.

“Trembling, I moved my hand and felt my phone underneath my pillow.

“I quickly remembered a phone trick I’d learned from a domestic violence Facebook post years before.

“I reached for my phone quietly under the pillow, and pushed the side button five times. It secretly rang 999 for me.”

But the trick made a deep alarm tone.

“Lee asked what that noise and I said it was the Alexa alarm,” Charlotte says.

“I kept my gaze with Lee, who turned around, and threw the Alexa against the wall.

“He then began smashing up the living room. He was throwing the kids’ toys everywhere, acting crazy.”

Charlotte knew the police were listening to the call. She began to cry, begging Young to leave the house loudly so operators could hear.

Charlotte says: “Lee had gone insane. Somehow, he cut his finger whilst smashing up a candle holder. He began scribbling blood on the wall.

“He then forced his lips on me, making me tell him that I loved him.

“He pinned me to the sofa and forced his hand into my pants, molesting me. It was so painful. I was crying for him to stop and that he was hurting me.

“He kept stopping and starting, it was all about control for him.

“After 30 minutes of Lee breaking in, I finally heard police sirens. The 999 trick had worked.”

‘Despicable lies’

As a team of armed officers neared the house, Young fled. Whilst Charlotte sprinted upstairs and scooped her son into her arms, before hiding in a neighbour’s garden.

Young was arrested in front of a different neighbour’s house.

Charlotte says: “Officers came to my aid. They told me they’d heard everything on the phone. I broke down.

“As I waited for the trial, I was in bits, suffering with panic attacks and flashbacks of the night.

“The police told me the attack had been recorded, and I stupidly requested to hear it. I regretted it as it sent me into a spiral.

“For mine and my children’s safety, I ended up quitting my job, selling the house and leaving Leicester.

To any women suffering from abuse, you can escape it. You must be strong, or you may lose your life

Charlotte Whomsley

“Sadly, the wait for the trial took years. In that time, in 2020, I luckily found love. I met Todd, 35, through work friends.

“The next year, we married and had a beautiful son. I tried to settle into my new, happy life. But I still hadn’t received justice.”

In September 2024, Lee Young, now 39, of Sharpley Drive, Beaumont Leys, was found guilty of sexual assault by penetration at Leicester Crown Court.

He was sentenced to six years and eight months.

Charlotte says: “In court, he told the jury that I’d been the one obsessed with him, ringing and begging. His lies were despicable.

“My husband supported me throughout. And thankfully, the jury saw Lee for the monster he truly was.

“Now we’re trying our hardest to move on with our lives now.

“To any woman suffering from abuse, you can escape it. You must be strong, or you may lose your life.

“I also urge women to remember the silent trick on your phone. Press the side button 5 times, and the emergency SOS slider will appear.

“Drag the slider to call, then make yourself heard by coughing or responding to your abuser. It could save your life.”

Tragic mum-of-4 who died in skydive ‘made chilling joke’ before falling to her death with instructor as son shares agony

A MUM who died in a tragic skydive had joked about doing the tandem jump on unlucky Friday the 13th, her family revealed.

Belinda Taylor and her skydiving instructor both died after the jump at Dunkeswell Airfield, near Honiton, Devon.

They plummeted 15,000ft to the ground after their parachute and reserve failed to open.

The 48-year-old’s partner Scott Armstrong was watching with binoculars, and saw one of the jumpers’ parachutes had failed to open.

He rushed to the airfield and discovered Belinda’s body strapped to her instructor on the landing strip.

The devastated dad said he bought the tandem jump as a gift to his “adrenaline junkie” girlfriend.

Passengers who jumped from the same plane said Belinda and her instructor were “full of smiles and jokes” before the tragedy.

Belinda’s 20-year-old son Elias, who is a student in west London, said his mum had mentioned the jump was taking place on Friday the 13th in a “jokey way”.

He told MailOnline: “It’s kind of weird thinking about it now, but at the time obviously she was saying how the jump would take place on Friday 13th and all those things… you don’t really expect what happened to happened.

“It’s all still a bit of a shock. She was getting more adventurous with [Scott], kayaking and stuff, looking to have that excitement and have more fun.

“She was such a positive person. We just want answers about what happened and how it could have happened.”

Scott said Belinda had been “absolutely buzzing” about the jump and said she was his “world”.

Belinda, from nearby Totnes, had three adult sons and a teenage daughter and was also a grandmother of two.

Her ex-husband Bachir Baaklini – with whom she shared two children, Elias and Emily, 13 – said he wants “justice” for Belinda.

She was described as “selfless” in tributes that said she has left “an everlasting impression on all those she has met in life”.

Her skydiving instructor, named by The Telegraph as Adam Harrison, was described as “wonderful” by his family.

Adam, 30, had worked as an instructor since 2020.

His sister Amy Harrison extended her condolences to Belinda’s family.

She said: “Adam had built a sterling reputation as a professional instructor, and we take comfort in knowing that he would undoubtedly have done everything in his power to avert any crisis.”

The tragedy is being probed by the British Skydiving Board of Inquiry.

Chief executive Robert Gibson confirmed a probe had been launched and his organisation was assisting Devon and Cornwall Police.

In a statement he said: “Today British Skydiving has been notified of a tragic accident in which two jumpers lost their lives.

“Our deepest condolences go to their families, friends and the entire skydiving community.

“A British Skydiving Board of Inquiry will investigate the accident.

“Once complete, a report will be submitted to the coroner, the police, the CAA, the British Skydiving Safety & Training Committee (STC) and any other relevant authorities.

“No further details will be provided at this time. We respectfully ask for privacy for all those affected at this difficult time.”

They told The Sun they saw the parachute fail and saw Scott climb into his car in a bid to try to save Belinda.

“They weren’t providing updates to the partner. He found out for himself when he saw the bodies.

“He could do nothing to save her. Everyone was visibly upset and distressed.”

Local charity Devon in Sight said it had suspended its upcoming skydiving events while the investigation was ongoing.

CEO Grahame Flynn said: “Having undertaken two skydive challenges in 2018 and 2022 I know how meticulous the team at Skydive Buzz are in their training.

“In view of this tragic news our events planned for Saturday 21st June, Wednesday 25th June and Saturday 5th July are suspended pending investigation.

“Our Jump for Sight Challenges have raised significant funds for our work over the years.

“At this time our thoughts are with the instructor and student who lost their lives and their families, friends and colleagues.”

Cops have asked anyone with information on the tragedy to get in touch.
