It comes as a 24-piece set which is magnetised to stay in the case[/caption]

The household essential is said to be perfect for tablet computers, mobile phones, watches, electronic bracelets, cameras, and precision instruments.

The Fanttik screwdriver comes in a sleek aluminum case, which has a “portable lightweight design” that helps you “carry it easily.”

Meanwhile, the pen-shaped body is said to be ergonomically designed and “easy to grasp”.

The magnetic design means that even if you open the shell upside down, the internal screw parts “will not fall out.”

The listing states: “The whole body is magnetic, and there is a magnetization zone at the bottom, and the drill bit touches here for five seconds to complete the magnetization.

“This torque screwdriver has a high and low electric torque of 0.2/0.05N.m and a manual torque of 3N.m.”

It also comes with a 350mAh lithium-ion battery which allows the portable screwdriver to be used continuously for two hours at a time.

This equates to around tightening a total of 400 screws.

Once you are done, you can charge it back up with a USB Type-C Charging Cable.

The Walmart product comes with a free 90-day returns period, meaning if you change your mind you can get your money back.

It also ships quickly, and can be at your house in a matter of days.

Currently the set has a 4.6 rating out of five, with many customers raving about it.

One person who left it a five-star review said: “This is an effective product when you need to do some precision work.

“I change batteries in my kid’s toys all the time and this makes it so much easier.”

Frantic moment CNN reporter is hauled away by cops live on air at LA riots as anchor screams ‘what’s going on?!’

COPS have detained a CNN reporter live on-air as he covered the tense Los Angeles riots.

Anchor Laura Coates yelled out, “What’s going on?” after watching national correspondent Jason Carroll being led away with his hands behind his back.

Carroll had been covering the fourth day of protests over Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration when he suddenly lost touch with Coates on Thursday evening.

“Jason? What’s going on? I hear you. What happened Jason?” Coates said live on air.

“I am being detained,” said Carroll in the distance as his cameraman filmed his back several feet behind him.

Carroll then chatted with the cops who confirmed that he wasn’t being arrested.

“We’re letting you go, but you can’t come back,” said the cop who threatened to arrest Carroll if he came back to the scene.

The two appeared to have a friendly interaction before Carroll was put behind a wall of cops and lost touch with Coates.

Later, Carroll explained that the officers didn’t put him in zip ties but did grab both of his hands and told him, “you are being detained.”

The reporter was stunned by the sudden change as he had been roaming the streets of Los Angeles covering the riots.

“It is something that I wasn’t expecting simply because we have been out here all day,” he said.

“Normally, the officers […] realize the press is there doing a job.”

Carroll was led away around the same time that officials told demonstrators that they had to leave or else they would be arrested.

They cuffed a number of protesters and charged them with failure to disperse to finally break up Thursday’s demonstration.

PROTESTS RAGE ON

The protests heated up after Trump sent around 2,000 National Guard troops to help keep the peace, despite California Governor Gavin Newsom warning him to back off.

Newsom claims that the peaceful protests criticizing ICE raiding businesses and detaining illegal immigrants turned into a riot once the troops arrived.

Meanwhile, Trump has insisted that Los Angeles would have “burned to the ground” if he hadn’t sent the soldiers, as he plans to send 700 Marines to the city.

“If I didn’t ‘SEND IN THE TROOPS’ to Los Angeles the last three nights, that once beautiful and great City would be burning to the ground right now,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday morning.

California has filed a lawsuit against Trump, accusing him of breaking the 10th Amendment when he sent in the guard.

The riots have spawned more protests across the country, and hundreds of participants have been arrested.

Trump has vowed to maintain law and order despite Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass begging him to pause the ICE raids.

“There is a real fear in Los Angeles right now. Parents, workers, grandparents, young people scared to go about their daily lives,” she said.

“We are a city of immigrants. Washington is attacking our people, our neighborhoods and our economy.”

Popular hardware store chain launches closing down sales at key location as it plans to shutter spot after 60 years

A POPULAR hardware store chain has launched a closing down sale at a key location that has been standing for over 60 years.

Shoppers still have a bit of time left to make the most of the store before it goes for good.

After more than six decades in business, a hardware store in northeast Missouri is closing its doors.

KTVO reports that Westlake Ace Hardware in Kirksville is set to close permanently very soon.

The move will impact our full-time and roughly 14 part-time employees.

Westlake Ace Hardware has been struggling to make its rent payments, and is no longer financially viable.

This is according to Cathy Roberts, general manager of the Kirksville store.

Due to this, the store has decided not to renew its lease in the area.

A closing down sale was started on Monday in preparation for the full closure at the end of October.

An exact closing date is not known yet.

In a statement, Westlake Ace Hardware expressed remorse for the decision.

The company also stressed it is not one they “take lightly”.

Westlake said: “After more than 60 years of serving the Kirksville, Mo., community, Westlake Ace Hardware has decided not to renew the lease on its store at 1612 North Green Street.

“We will begin a store closeout sale soon. The store is scheduled to close permanently at the end of October 2025.

“The closing of any store is not a decision we take lightly, but as we continue to analyze same-store profitability and ever-changing market dynamics, we occasionally need to adjust our store count.”

PAIN IN PITTSBURGH

The US Sun recently reported on another branch closure to hit a mall in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

US braces for '45,000 store closures'

Some 45,000 bricks-and-mortar stores could close in the next five years, experts have warned.

Several major retailers have announced store closures or gone out of business altogether in recent years.

In 2023, chains such as Foot Locker announced plans to close up to 400 outlets by 2026.

While, other well-known retailers like Tuesday Morning and Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams filed for bankruptcy in 2023.

Bed Bath & Beyond has closed all of its brick-and-mortar stores and is now an online-only retailer.

The most affected retailers have been clothing, consumer electronics, sporting goods, hobby, book, music, and home furnishing stores since the start of 2019.

UBS has predicted the total number of retail stores will drop by 45k from 958k to 913k.

Despite that, the report says that certain stores should thrive while others decline.

It said retailers such as Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, and Target, could be among the winners.

Dick’s Sporting Goods has just left The The Pittsburgh Mills mall in Frazer.

This is only set to get worse as Macy’s is also set to leave the mall, too

The two-story nearly 173,000 square-foot space will leave the mall without another anchor store.

An anchor tenant refers to a large and well-known store in a mall that serves as a main drawing point for shoppers.

Locals have been directed to other Dick’s Sporting Goods stores.

These include Dick’s Field House at The Waterworks Mall, Dick’s House of Sport at Ross Park Mall and Dick’s Sporting Goods at Monroeville Mall.

Shoppers should note the Waterworks location won’t be open until June 20.

The spot will host a grand opening from June 20 to June 22 to mark the occasion.

Shoppers will be see sales, special offers and prizes, and a sporting icon stopping by for an appearance.

Pittsburgh Steelers player Joey Porter Jr. is scheduled to appear from noon to 1:30pm June 21.

Mazda recalls nearly 200k cars over airbag issues and dangerous ‘warning light’ malfunctions

DRIVERS have been cautioned about two recalls that affected nearly 200,000 Mazda cars.

Those affected by the recalls were urged to take action to avoid serious safety issues.

The recalls urged drivers about airbag issues and faulty indicator light warnings[/caption]

The recall involves 2024 and 2025 MX-5 models, according to the recall alert.

“The Traction Control System (TCS)/Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) indicator light may not illuminate when abnormal yaw rate characteristics are detected due to a software diagnostic programming error,” the report reads.

“As a result, the driver may be unaware of the malfunction, which could increase the risk of a crash or injury,” it continued.

The TCS/DSC light indicates if the system is operating correctly, if it’s turned off, or if there is a malfunction.

The light will typically flash if the system is actively working to maintain stability, and it will illuminate continuously if there’s a problem.

The TCS/DSC system activates when the system detects one or more wheels losing traction, potentially due to slick surfaces, mud, sand, or uneven surfaces.

In that case, the system works to control engine torque and brakes to reduce wheel spin and regain traction.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration estimated that 12,244 vehicles were affected by the recall.

Owners will be notified by mail and instructed to take their vehicle to a Mazda dealer.

Dealers will replace the DSC unit with improved parts, free of charge.

A reimbursement program will not be offered as all vehicles are under full warranty coverage.

The recall alert mentioned that owner notification letters would be mailed on or before July 21, 2025.

According to a public report, Mazda’s domestic production volume in January 2025 increased 22.6% year on year due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

The automaker’s domestic sales volume in January 2025 increased 23.9% year on year due to increased sales of passenger vehicles.

How can I check if my car is part of a recall?

If you own a car that's been recently recalled, you can easily check your VIN.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) makes it incredibly quick and easy for drivers to check and see if their vehicle is part of a recent (or past) recall.

The VIN checking tool also allows drivers to see whether or not the repair was completed within the last 15 years, making it an incredible tool for buyers of used cars.

All recalls initiated by the NHTSA mean free repairs for drivers, even if it’s an engine or a transmission replacement. If your VIN shows an active recall that has not been repaired, it’s important to make an appointment at your nearest dealership.

Here’s how to make an appointment for a recall:

  1. Look up your VIN using the NHTSA tool.
  2. Find out the recall number/ID from the manufacturer.
  3. Call your nearest dealership’s service center with the ID number handy, and mention you’d like to schedule an appointment to repair the recall. The repair can only be done at a dealership, as they’re authorized by the manufacturer to conduct the repair free of cost using genuine parts.
  4. Try to make the appointment as soon as possible.
  5. Once the repair is completed, the dealership will update the information associated with the VIN to reflect it’s been completed.

Despite President Trump’s looming tariffs, Mazda’s export volume in January 2025 increased 14.3% year on year due to increased shipments to North America and other regions.

Most manufacturing takes place in Japan, Mexico, and the United States, but the company’s headquarters are located in Hiroshima, Japan.

Drivers who are not sure if their vehicle was part of the recall can navigate the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website and enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

The NHTSA notes that your VIN will be searchable on May 28, 2025, for this particular recall.

This comes after the automakers recently recalled over 170,000 2024-2025 Mazda3 and 2024-2025 CX-30 due to an airbag issue.

The vehicles were recalled due to the possibility that the airbags may fail to deploy in the event of a crash, raising the likelihood of injuries.

Mazda stated that specific 2024-2025 Mazda3 and CX30 models might have defective airbag sensors that trigger an error code, potentially disabling the airbags as a result of a low battery issue.

The investigation was initiated by Mazda after an airbag warning light issue was reported by a consumer in the US market in June 2024.

The affected vehicles were manufactured in Mexico and Japan between May 2023 and January 2025.

To resolve the problem, dealerships will either reprogram the airbag sensor units with updated software or replace the units at no cost.

Mazda intends to send notification letters to owners by July 28.
