FOX Sports has revealed a huge broadcasting addition that will mark an important milestone.

Fox Sports is gearing up for its soccer coverage of the FIFA World Cup 26, which begins on June 11, 2026, and ends on July 19, 2026.

In doing so, on Tuesday, the network announced the addition of a new TV show for soccer fans.

Fox Sports said in a press release that it will broadcast a live one-hour show special to preview next year’s World Cup on Friday, June 13 at 8:00 pm ET.

The program, called FIFA World Cup 26: One Year to Go, will be aired live from Miami‘s South Beach and feature a celebration with live performances, FIFA legends, celebrities, and more hosted from multiple stages,” the press release added.

Fox Sports’ Charrisa Thompson and former US Men’s National Team (USMNT) star Stu Holden will be the show’s hosts.

They will be joined by National Soccer Hall of Famer and Fox Soccer analyst Alexi Lalas and longtime sports reporter Tom Rinaldi.

The pair is set to interview FIFA’s high-ranking members, international and US soccer icons, and more during the night.

There will also be an exclusive sit-down interview with USMNT Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino and Rinaldi.

Fox Sports will announce musical performances and special guests in the coming days.

Social media users reacted to the network’s announcement of the new live program.

“Can’t wait for the biggest event ever,” one wrote.

“Here. We. Gooooooo,” another commented.

“I’m interested,” a third said.

“Fantastic!” a fourth stated.

The host Thompson has worked for Fox Sports since 2013.

Both Thompson and Rinaldi had previously worked for ESPN.

The tearful world No1 described the French Open final as ‘terrible’[/caption]

It was the second Grand Slam of her career following the 2023 US Open success – with both coming against Sabalenka in the final.

But usually a gracious loser, Sabalenka, 27, bemoaned the “terrible” windy conditions contributing to her “terrible” performance.

She was also criticised for adding that Gauff “won the match not because she played incredible” but because “I made all of those mistakes”.

The Belarusian world No1 – who hit 70 unforced errors in the final – said: “This hurts so much.

“We showed terrible tennis in the final – that really hurts.

“If Iga [Swiatek] would [beat] me another day, I think she would go out today and she would get the win.

“It [the wind] felt like a joke, honestly, like somebody from above was just there laughing saying, ‘Let’s see if you can handle this.’

“Honestly, sometimes it felt like she was hitting the ball from the frame. Somehow magically the ball lands in the court, and you are kind of on the back foot.

“Thank you my team for your support. I am sorry for this terrible final. As always, I will come back stronger.

“Coco congrats. In these tough conditions, you were a better player than me. Well deserved. You are a fighter and a hard worker.”

Sabalenka did backtrack somewhat in an Instagram post on Sunday.

But classy Gauff took the comments in her stride with a typically humble but honest response.

The American – the first woman from the USA to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015 – said: “I know she was probably a bit emotional after that match and it was a tough loss.

“I was a little bit surprised about the comments and everything

“But I’m gonna give her the benefit of the doubt.

“I’m sure it was an emotional day, emotional match.”

‘I DON’T AGREE’

The world No2 also added: “I don’t agree with that.

“No shade to Iga or anything, but last time I played her I won in straight sets.

“I don’t think that’s a fair thing to say, because anything can really happen.”

Gauff and Sabalenka will both be looking to complete the third leg of their career Grand Slam plans at Wimbledon.

The grass-court major gets underway on June 30 – with the pair to be the top two seeds.

Gauff has never been beyond the fourth round at the All England club while Sabalenka is a two-time semi-finalist.

A FUMING driver has been stuck with a Jeep that he cannot drive after a natural disaster left it unrepairable.

His finance company claims he owed them thousands of dollars, preventing him from buying a new vehicle.

The driver, Howard Welch, is still without a vehicle after the devastating Hurricane Helene flooded his Jeep, as reported by NBC affiliate WFLA.

“The storm brought catastrophic inland flooding, extreme winds, deadly storm surge, and numerous tornadoes that devastated portions of the southeastern United States and southern Appalachians,” as stated by the National Hurricane Center.

“Helene is responsible for at least 250 fatalities in the United States (including at least 176 direct deaths), making it the
deadliest hurricane in the contiguous U.S. since Katrina in 2005,” the agency reported.

Despite not being able to drive his Jeep for the last nine months, Welch’s finance company has started sending him bills again.

Even though his insurance company, Progressive, has already paid off the loan on the Jeep, the bills keep coming.

The driver said he was sent $4,000 that he wants to use towards repairs so that he’s able to re-title the Jeep for personal use later on.

His insurance company also sent $14,903 to the finance company, Stellantis, which paid off the loan on the vehicle, as reported by WFLA.

Seven months after the check was deposited, Stellantis claimed they never received the money.

Progressive even showed Welch a copy of the check, which proved that Stellantis’ bank had already endorsed it.

“I’ve called him every week since November really trying to see what’s going on, I even helped them connected Progressive with Stellantis to see if I could connect the dots, you know, maybe they’re busy,” Welch said.

“I’ve been walking to and from work for the better part of a year now. It’s been a long time,” he added.

“I can’t buy a new vehicle right now because the line is still on my account. I can’t buy a new vehicle. I’ve been really patient with them. I’ve tried to figure it out with them, but last week was sort of the last straw.”

Drivers in this situation are often urged to verify that the insurance company has issued the check and to which address it was sent — which Welch already did.

If possible, drivers can even ask for a tracking number for the check to see its delivery status.

If the finance company insists they haven’t received anything, drivers can ask the company to place a temporary hold on their loan payments or set up a repayment plan until they receive the insurance check.

Most importantly, drivers should maintain detailed records of all conversations, emails, and letters exchanged with both the insurance company and the finance company, noting dates, times, and the content of discussions.

Now, Welch’s finance company is asking him for $500 as well as pushing him to continue making payments on the loan.

“That’s how it’s been made clear to me.” Welch said.

“They don’t have the check. But it’s clear to me, they have the check, they’ve cashed it.”

Welch is unable to re-title his Jeep and can’t afford another vehicle due to the lien on his credit report.

Stellantis did not immediately reply to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.

THE CINCINNATI BENGALS have axed Germaine Pratt amid ongoing brutal roster cuts.

Pratt, 29, was one of the most consistent performers for the Bengals ever since he was drafted out of NC State in 2019 and went on to make approximately $21million in career earnings.

The linebacker led Cincinnati with 143 total tackles last season, including five tackles for a loss to go with a pair of interceptions and fumble recoveries.

That left a number of fans of the NFL franchise upset as they vented on social media.

One supporter tweeted: “I’m so sad, this guy has been a part of so many great highlights. He will be missed.”

Another commented: “Bengals’ horrible defense is getting worse at an alarming rate.”

A POPULAR Ford dealership has shut down for good, ready to make way for another outlet from a massive auto shop chain.

The now-demolished DealMaker Ford, located on Route 68 in Oswegatchie, near Ogdensburg, New York, is set to transform into a new AutoZone store.

According to Watertown Daily Times, N.Y., the location will boast a huge 6,800-square-foot building, constructed by the property owner, DPMJ LLC, on the Route 37 portion of the property.

The project, which has received conditional approval from the town, was finalized during a city council meeting last month – although no timeline for the store’s completion has been released at this time.

AutoZone, which sells auto parts and related services, has 229 other locations in New York State alone.

The chain, which is expanding as part of an ‘aggressive’ plan, has opened 54 domestic stores in the US during Q3 2025, according to a recent report.

Their total store count has now reached 7,516 including 6,537 stores in the US, 838 in Mexico and 141 in Brazil.

The brand’s president and CEO, Phil Daniele, boasted how the brand has opened 30 new international stores this past quarter in Mexico and Brazil – representing their entire presence outside of the US.

The project at the former DealMaker Ford dealership site, which first opened in 2000, was initially approved by the town, contingent on DPMJ LLC and the city of Ogdensburg agreeing to run water out to the new store location.

Russell B. Lawrence IV, the Oswegatchie Code Enforcement Officer, said: “Our approval was contingent on providing proof of an agreement with the city to provide water.”

Autozone, which reported $18.49 billion in revenue during FY 2024, employs some 126,000 employees worldwide.

Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, Autozone began life in 1979 with their first store in Forrest City, Arkansas.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal Huda welcomed her daughter, Arleigh, with her ex Noah Sheline in July 2020. 

Noah is 25 years old and is in the United States Army. 

He appears to be a doting dad to their daughter, as he often posts photos with their little one. 

In May, Noah posted a series of photos of Arleigh with the caption, “Simply my greatest love in the world, my princess and she’s a daddies girl.”

He captioned another series of snaps with Arleigh in April, “I love you, I love you, I love you… million times more.”

In February, he posted a photo of Arleigh making a heart with her hands, “Happy Valentine’s Day from me and the cutest date ever.”

Noah has posted photos from Arleigh’s first hair cut, Halloween, vacations and more sweet moments. 

On the day she was born, he captioned pictures from the hospital, “My First Born, You are the best thing to happen in my life! I love you babygirl! I give you my all, and love you with all my heart. You are the most adorable treasure and the best gift to me as your father!

HUDA’S SECRET

On Love Island USA, Huda told her co-stars Chelly Bissainthe and Olandria Carthen, “I’m a mommy. She’s four. I’ve been a single mom for like four years now. I’ve never introduced a man to my kid. No man has met the standards. 

“I do wanna wait to tell people.”

Noah threw shade at Huda on his Instagram Story last week, as he wrote on a photo with him and his daughter, “People think I’m not a present father because my bm act like she do it alone on a show… us unbothered.”

Huda coupled up with Jeremiah and the two quickly fell for each other. 

When Jeremiah asked why she lives alone in a two-bedroom apartment, she refused to tell him the reason. 

Then on the June 5th episode, Huda finally told Jeremiah the truth. 

“I like for you to get to know me on a deeper level,” Huda said. “But I just hope, regardless of whatever I say, I hope that you stay true to your feelings.

“Okay, so I did want to bring up something because I wanted to be honest with you and I wanted to make sure that I really trusted you and I really liked you.

“I’m… I am a mom.”

But his reaction left fans shocked, as he tilted his head backward and sighed. 

“Oh my god, hang on. Let me…,” he stuttered.

When Huda asked if he was “okay,” he shot back, “You’re a mom?! And you’re 24? How many kids?” Jeremiah asked.

Huda told the Los Angeles-based model that she has one child who is four years old. 

Jeremiah sighed again and looked down at the floor.

“Look at me,” Huda asked.

But Jeremiah put his hands over his eyes and said, “Hold on, I can’t!”

FAN BACKLASH

After the scene, fans turned to social media to beg Huda to leave Jeremiah because of his reaction to the baby news. 

One viewer wrote on X, “Jeremiah’s reaction about the kid told me everything I needed to know. HUDA RUN.”

Another added, “Massive ick from Jeremiah… Goodbye I don’t like you.”

A third wrote, “Also Jeremiah asking how many kids Huda got… he lowkey might leave her…”

And a fourth chimed in, “The way that man said ‘You’re a mom??? At 24?? How many kids??’ Yeahhhh Huda babygirl I think it’s over with he said enough right there.”

But other viewers of the show sided with Jeremiah.

A POPULAR chicken chain that some claim to be “better than Popeyes and KFC” has opened another two locations in the same state.

On top of this, 10 more are coming, as the fast food joint prepares to open its 500th location.

The US Sun reported last month that El Pollo Loco is planning some major moves for 2025.

So far this year, the chain has opened two new locations, both in California.

One of them is located in Los Banos and another in Lompoc.

The vast majority of El Pollo Loco‘s restaurants can be found in the state, at nearly 400, but new ones are set to expand that.

El Pollo Loco has said that future 2025 locations are set for Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, and Washington.

This includes the company’s 500th restaurant, which will be located in Colorado, per USA Today.

A spokesperson has confirmed that the new locations will be modeled on a new store design unveiled in October 2024.

Liz Williams, El Pollo Loco CEO, said: “The pipeline is coming together really nicely for next year.

“Seeing those registrations and those LOIs and then leases being signed for projects for next year gives us even more confidence in being able to accelerate far beyond the 10 that we have this year.”

New locations are also being marked out for 2026, including some in non-traditional locations like airports and universities.

Customers can expect these to open in states like California, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, Washington.

KFC COMPETITION

With this continued growth, and the 500th location landmark, more and more customers are rallying behind El Pollo Loco.

One foodie came to support El Pollo Loco on social media, raving that the chain was in fact better than some of the giants of the chicken game.

They said online that El Pollo Loco was “better than Popeyes and KFC“.

In the comments of the post, there was some support.

One person wrote: “Agreed. I love that crazy chicken.”

And another simply wrote: “I concur.”

REMODELING

El Pollo Loco is also investing a significant amount into remodeling between 60 to 70 locations.

The updated store models will feature upgraded digital and in-store experiences, with new color schemes, fonts and ordering kiosks.

There will also be new kitchen equipment coming in to reduce costs.

Bosses believe that around half of the chain’s locations will be remodeled over the next four years.

El Pollo Loco has already begun doing this, and has completed eight so far.

The CEO continued by adding that the chain has already seen “early sales and economic returns” on these restaurants.

Jill Adams, El Pollo Loco CMO, added: “The goal of this brand refresh is to ensure people know who we are, what we stand for and what they can expect from us before they even walk through the door of a restaurant.

“We’ve been grilling citrus marinated chicken in our restaurants for the last 50 years, and we’re excited to share our dedication, or should I say ‘loco’, with the world.”
