Love Island star makes racy sex confession ahead of show launch tonight

A LOVE Island star has made a racy sex confession ahead of the show’s return to screens TONIGHT.

A new group of singletons looking for love are set to enter the ITV villa.

Among them is Irish rugby player Conor Phillips – who was drafted in to the villa as a replacement for axed Kyle Ashman.

Original star Kyle, 23, was struck from the dating show line-up after it was revealed that he had been held and questioned by police over a machete attack at a wake.

Speaking to press, Conor revealed the most unusual place he’s had sex.

The 25-year-old shared: “Probably behind a nightclub, I think, is the craziest, to be honest.

“I know it’s nothing too crazy. I was young as well.”

Meanwhile, Conor also discussed how his mother feels about him joining Love Island.

He said: “It’s a weird one for parents. My mam will be quite reserved and lowkey. So, it’s a bit out of her comfort zone.

“But again, she knew that I’m an adult, so I’m going to make my own decision, and she’s going to support me.

“And she has supported me. But yeah, it’s a bit of a weird one, isn’t it, if your child decides to do something like this.”

Revealing his preparations for the villa, Conor shared: “I had budgie smugglers in my hand. I just thought of everyone else who is going to be watching the show and said no.

“I put them down. It would have been too stereotypical rugby player. In terms of getting ready for the show, I actually haven’t changed any diet, or any gym routine.

“I train quite heavily anyway, so that side of it was taken care of.”

He also reflected on past relationships, remarking: “I’ve only had one. It just didn’t work out, because it was my first one. I was 23 as well, so single my whole life.

“I probably just didn’t want to get in a relationship, because I didn’t want to have that commitment. I’m an only child.

“I’ve never really had to answer to many people and stuff. So then when I had to tell this person everything I was doing, it was just a bit heavy on me.

“And we lived four hours away from each other. The distance was too much.

It comes as he previously admitted to breaking a show rule after having signed up.

Islanders are forbidden from revealing their involvement in the series before entering the villa.

However, Conor revealed he’d sought the advice of past winner Greg O’Shea, a fellow Irish rugby player.

He told press: “I know Greg through rugby circles so I spoke to him about going on Love Island.

“So enjoy it and yeah take it day by day and if you can be yourself you can’t really go too far wrong’.

“So that’s my plan. He was like ‘my advice might be a bit different from others because I won’.”

And the high street giant has got you covered for everything you need.

Primark is one of the best-loved brands on the high street, and is constantly wowing us with its stylish but affordable fashion.

From cute dresses to on-trend work attire, the fast-fashion range always hits the mark – and its new summer travel collection is no exception.

The bargain retailer released a range of passport holders, travel pillows and airport-friendly travel bottles earlier this year.

But it’s an even cheaper buy that has got shoppers legging it to their nearest store this week.

Sharing a snap on the BARGAIN LOVERS – Poundland, Home Bargains, B&M, Primark, The Range & More Facebook page, which boasts 843,000 members, one savvy shopper wrote: “Beach towels at Primark.”

In the picture, a price tag shows the towels are priced down from £4 to just £3,

The high street giant’s beach towels are usually priced from a minimum of £7 on the website – so it works out as a great saving.

The sale item is available in four colours – teal, hot pink, lilac and baby pink.

And it’s the perfect size for covering a sun lounger on holiday to set you up for a day of tanning.

One shopper gushed: “Just what I need. If they are like the ones I have now they are great, lasted 10 years!”

“Go grab some after work”, pleaded a second.

Someone else hailed the towels as a “bargain”, while a fourth wrote: “Need a couple for holidays.”

The beach towels aren’t the only things you’ll want to keep an eye out for in Primark if you’re jetting off on holiday soon.

Shoppers can’t get enough of the bargain chain’s perfect summer holiday beach bag that’s waterproof and only £10.

Holidaymakers are also raving about a viral cabin bag that’s perfect for Ryanair flights.

So if you’re lucky enough to be going abroad any time soon and don’t fancy splashing the cash on hold luggage, then you’ve come to the right place.

Thanks to the new pull-along cabin bag from Primark, not only will you travel in style for your next trip, but you’ll be able to fit in everything you need whilst saving on hold luggage costs.

And a triple-threat £8 top will solve all your problems in the sizzling heat.

Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?

JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it's down to four points.

  • They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
  • They “do very little advertising”
  • While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
  • And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

For more information about how Primark keeps their costs so low, and are able to deliver such amazing bargains, visit the Primark website.

A guide to interest rates, fees and costs of equity release in 2025

Grandparents holding their grandchildren.

DECIDING to take out equity release is a big decision, so being fully informed and understanding the costs is important if you’re thinking of using this form of financing.

Equity release is a way for homeowners aged 55 or older to access money. It either comes as a home reversion plan or a lifetime mortgage.

Grandparents holding their grandchildren.
PEXELS

A home reversion plan involves selling all or part of your home in exchange for a lump sum or regular income, while living typically rent-free until you die or move into long-term care and your home is sold.

The lifetime mortgage is the most common form of equity release, and is a loan secured against your property.

Interest will be charged on any money released but, unlike other types of lending, you are not required to make any monthly repayments.

You can choose to repay the interest and part of the outstanding balance, but this is subject to certain limits and early repayment charges may apply above a set value.

Explore your later life lending options with Age Partnership

If you don’t choose to repay the interest, it will compound, and the amount outstanding will continue to increase.

Once you die or move into long-term care, the initial amount you borrowed from your provider, plus any accrued interest will need to be repaid, usually from the sale of your home.

The setup costs and applicable charges will vary depending on your circumstances and which plan is the most suitable for you. But to get an idea of what you could be charged, we’ve explained how interest rates and fees cost in more detail.

Elderly couple sitting on a bench outdoors.
PEXELS

What is the interest rate on equity release?

Just like other financing options – like a mortgage or credit card – the interest you’ll pay on equity release is set by the provider.

It’s worth getting in touch with an equity release provider to check what rates are available to you. Any rate you are offered could be influenced by your circumstances, such as your health and age.

Are equity release rates rising?

Lifetime mortgage interest rate options also change frequently.

Lenders tend to base their plans on Gilt rates, or UK government bonds. So, when the yield on UK government bonds goes up, lifetime mortgage rates can follow suit.

Gilt rates are also linked to the Bank of England’s base rate, which has fallen since August 2024. Some economists are forecasting further cuts in the future but for now, any changes to the market or fluctuation of rates remains pure speculation.

Again, seeking the advice of an equity release adviser is crucial.

It is worth noting that you can choose an equity release plan with an interest rate that is fixed for the duration of your plan, to protect you from future rate increases.

If rates fall, then you can get in touch with an equity release adviser again to look at potentially moving plans if it’s suitable for your circumstances at the time.

Dangers of equity release

EQUITY release can be a good way to unlock cash in retirement – but there are some dangers to consider, according to The Sun’s Tara Evans.

Interest rates on lifetime mortgages are around 5.5%, with some topping 8%. This means they can be more expensive than a traditional mortgage and you should always consider downsizing first.

You could end up owing more than you borrowed, although it will never be more than the value of your home.

Using equity release to take cash from your home will reduce the assets you have to pass on to loved ones when you die.

It is a long-term commitment and you may be charged an early redemption fee that can be as high as 25% if you want to pay it off.

Be aware that equity release could affect or stop your benefits.

Always seek advice from a qualified equity release adviser.

How does interest on equity release work?

Some people will choose to repay the interest rate in order to stop it compounding. To provide some idea of how much you could pay, consider this example.

If you took out a £50,000 loan at an interest rate of 6.5%, the annual interest charged would be £3,250. If you wished to repay the interest monthly, this would equate to £270.83 per month.

If you decide not to repay the interest and choose to let it compound, £3,250 would be added to your outstanding balance and interest the next year would be charged at 6.5% rate on a £53,250 loan which is £3,461.25 for the year or £288.43 a month.

You may prefer to make partial interest payments to suit your budget. Anything you choose to pay will help to limit the roll up of interest if you want to preserve equity in your property for care costs or to leave to your loved ones.

An equity release adviser will provide an illustration of what interest will be charged on your plan, and how the interest will roll up if no payments are made.

What is the cost of equity release?

There are other costs to consider with a lifetime mortgage besides the interest, such as:

Application or arrangement fee

Much like applying for a mortgage, some equity release policies may require an application fee to start the process. If there is an application or arrangement charge, your equity release adviser will include this in the fee section of the illustration.

Financial Advice

No one can take out equity release without advice from a qualified adviser.

Different companies can charge different advice fees. Age Partnership, for example, provide initial advice for free and without obligation. Only if your case completes would their advice fee of £1,895 be payable.

Calculate how much you could unlock

Legal advice

You’ll need a solicitor to take care of the legal paperwork when taking out equity release.

Part of their service may include securing a legal charge against your property, which will allow your equity release provider to release your funds.

Legal advice fees may vary on a case-by-case basis.

Valuation fee

In order to get an estimate of how much equity you can release from a lifetime mortgage, your lender will need an accurate valuation of your home. This needs to come from a professional valuation, and not an estate agent’s verdict.

Some lenders may not charge a valuation fee, for others, the fees may differ depending on the price of your home.

Interest

Of all these costs, your interest charges will likely be the most expensive.

What you eventually pay in interest depends on a number of things, from how long you stay in your home to the rate charged by your provider.

If your adviser recommends a lifetime mortgage, they will find the plan that best suits your circumstances and priorities and they will provide you with full details of the interest that would apply, and the specific terms and flexibility of your plan.

What is the total set-up cost?

According to MoneyHelper, a government personal finance guidance website, you can expect to pay between £1,500 and £3,000 to set up your equity release plan. That excludes any interest that will accrue.

Will I be charged if I repay my equity release early?

You could be charged an early repayment fee if you decide to repay the loan earlier than expected.

These fees can be expensive, so it’s important to explore all your options, as it may be more beneficial to make repayments and reduce the balance over time instead.

Calculate how much you could unlock

Can I get free financial advice for equity release?

As advice is required before proceeding with equity release, Age Partnership can help you find out more and if it could be right for your individual circumstances.

Through their service, initial advice is provided for free and without obligation. Only if your case completes would an advice fee of £1,895 be payable. Other lender and solicitor fees may apply.

You should be aware that equity release requires paying off any existing mortgage. It will also reduce the value of your estate and impact funding long-term care.

Moment truck driver sends OAP flying after smashing into her while he was distracted by sat-nav

THIS is the shocking moment a driver sent an OAP flying after smashing into her while distracted by his sat-nav.

Glen Brady was driving a HGV through Cheshire when he swerved across the road.

She was left sprawled on the ground[/caption]

He then mounted the kerb before ploughing into a 67-year-old pedestrian.

Footage released by police showed the woman being flung across a grassy area.

Brady, 47, then comes to a stop as the pedestrian lays sprawled on the ground.

Miraculously, she managed to escape the smash with just minor injuries.

Brady pleaded guilty to dangerous driving when he appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court.

He was spared jail and instead handed a 24-week sentence, suspended for 12 months.

Brady was also banned from driving for 18 months and must complete an extended driving test before he is allowed to get behind the wheel again.

The court was told he was driving towards Congleton at around 1.40pm on December 17 when he became distracted by his sat-nav.

Police Constable James Shrimpton, of the Constabulary’s Roads and Crime Team, said: “I hope this case makes other motorists think very carefully about their actions behind the wheel and that they should be aware that when they get in a vehicle, they have the potential to cause real damage and even take a life.

“You have not only your life in your hands but other road users and this needs to be remembered every time you make that journey.

“The pedestrian involved in this collision was discharged the same day and was very lucky to come away with only minor injuries.

“Due to the nature of Glen Brady’s driving and the sheer size of the vehicle itself, we could have quite easily been dealing with a much more serious, or even fatal, injuries.”

Man Utd ‘make first Viktor Gyokeres approach as Ruben Amorim looks to beat Arsenal to huge £60m transfer’

MANCHESTER UNITED have made an initial approach for Viktor Gyokeres, according to reports.

The striker scored 66 goals for Ruben Amorim when the pair worked together at Sporting.

Ruben Amorim is desperate to be reunited with the striker at Old Trafford[/caption]

In total, he boasts a staggering record of 97 goals in 102 appearances for the Portuguese giants.

Gyokeres, 27, has an £84million release clause in his contract at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

However, Sky Sports News report United contacted Sporting to enquire about the Swedish international.

But as revealed by SunSport, it is understood Gyokeres had a gentlemen’s agreement with Sporting that he can leave for around £58-60m.

And Amorim is desperate to be reunited with the striker – with his current No9s Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee struggling for goals.

United cannot offer any European football next season – let alone Champions League football.

But Amorim will hope his personal connection can entice Gyokeres, who is also wanted by Arsenal.

Amorim has already completed his £62.5m transfer from Wolves.

And the Red Devils also remain keen on landing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

However, that deal has hit complications with Tottenham set to appoint Thomas Frank as their new manager.

Historic MLB franchise and 5-time World Series winner suffers ‘concerning’ low attendances as president gives excuse

THE Pittsburgh Pirates’ slide on the field is keeping fans away in a concerning way.

The Major League Baseball side has suffered an alarming fall in attendances in 2025.

The team has seen attendances slide from last season[/caption]

The Pirates sit 26-40 and rooted to the bottom of the National League Central division.

They are a massive 14.5 games back from the division-leading Chicago Cubs.

Pittsburgh is averaging just 17,713 fans per game in 2025.

That puts them 26th in the MLB and down on last year’s numbers.

The Pirates average attendance was 21,239 in 2024, which was 25th in the MLB.

That mark was about the same as the 2023 mark of 20,131.

But this year’s numbers are a return towards 2022.

That year they averaged 15,524 fans per game and were 27th in the MLB.

The Pirates have a capacity of 38.747 at their PNC Park home.

Team president Travis Williams was asked about low attendances in April.

“I’m not concerned,” he declared.

“Obviously the weather has not been our friend and we’ll bet team performance has had some impact on that as well.

“Both of which I’m confident will get better.

“I’m looking forward to better weather days.

“And I’m looking forward to better team performances on the field.”

Williams hasn’t had his wish granted on the field of play since then.

And fans have voted with their feet by staying away from the ballpark.

The Los Angeles Dodgers currently average 50,275 fans at home games.

That is the highest figure in the league from the New York Yankees on 42,491.

The Tampa Bay Rays have the worst attendance in the league with 9,807 fans per game.

CHIPOTLE fans can soon get their hands on its newest craveable dip – the first dip the Mexican fast food chain has rolled out since 2020.

Crafted fresh in-house daily using all real ingredients, the new Adobo Ranch dip will not only bump up the flavor of Chipotle lovers’ meals but also their bill.

Chipotle’s new Adobo Ranch dip will debut in just days[/caption]

The iconic fast food chain is making a bold addition to its menu with the impending launch of its Adobo Ranch, “a smoky, spicy twist on America’s beloved dipping sauce.”

It is made with adobo pepper, sour cream, and a unique blend of herbs and spices, per a Chipotle press release from Monday morning.

Fans in the US and Canada will be able to get a taste of the new dip starting on June 17.

To celebrate Adobo Ranch, Chipotle is offering it for free to rewards members on launch day with the purchase of an entree.

Foodies have until 11 pm PST on June 16 to enroll in Chipotle Rewards to receive a free Adobo Ranch offer in their account, valid on June 17.

Fans new to the Chipotle Rewards program will also receive a free guacamole offer with a $5 purchase when they enroll.

Following launch day, customers will have to shell out an extra 75 cents to add Adobo Ranch to an order, a Chipotle spokesperson confirmed to The U.S. Sun.

RANCH RIOT

Chipotle’s move to roll out Adobo Ranch, its first new dip since Queso Blanco hit the menu in 2020, comes amid lowered sales.

The beloved chain had a rough financial start to 2025, seeing a same-store sales drop in the first quarter for the first time in five years.

Top bosses over at Chipotle blamed the decline in consumer confidence caused by today’s economy, pushing diners to eat out less and rein in their spending.

Chipotle hopes that the launch of Adobo Ranch will help to reverse its downward trend, luring in foodies and boosting the chain’s sales.

The new dip is a twist on classic ranch, which has spiked in popularity and passed ketchup as America’s top condiment in 2024.

Adobo Ranch is Chipotle’s unique take on the staple condiment, made with only real ingredients and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

“Ranch has become a cultural phenomenon, especially among Gen Z, who are finding creative ways to enjoy it beyond the traditional salad,” said Chris Brandt, president and chief brand officer.

“Our new Adobo Ranch taps into this passion, giving fans a craveworthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a completely new flavor.”

Chris BrandtChipotle Chief Brand Officer

Foodies should maximize the flavor of their bites by making the most of the Adobo Ranch, encouraged Nevielle Panthaky, vice president of culinary at Chipotle.

He suggested dipping a quesadilla in the sauce or spicing things up by submerging tortilla chips in Adobo Ranch before scooping into a burrito bowl to create the “perfect bite.”

As Chipotle eyes the launch of its Adobo Ranch, other fast food giants are similarly rolling out new items.

For example, a popular burger chain has launched an “interesting” new item – but you can’t order it in store.

Meanwhile, a McDonald’s rival launched its own “snack wrap” just weeks before the original was rumored to return.

Love Island USA’s Amaya Espinal glows in baby blue bikini on Turks & Caicos getaway and more of her hot swimsuit pics

LOVE Island USA’s Amaya Espinal glowed in a baby blue bikini as she soaked up the sun during a Turks & Caicos getaway.

Amaya, 25, turned heads in the striking two-piece while posing beachside at the five-star Ritz-Carlton, sharing the sizzling snapshots to Instagram back in March.

Love Island USA’s Amaya Espinal glowed in a baby blue bikini in Turks & Caicos[/caption]

The New Yorker wore her brunette locks in in tousled waves and enhanced her glowing complexion with a full glam look.

She kept her caption simple, inserting a heart and fire emoji.

Amaya was unveiled as a bombshell just two days ago, with the Love Island USA Instagram teasing her arrival over the weekend.

And she’s already made waves in the villa.

During a challenge, Jeremiah locked lips with her, leaving Huma fuming with jealousy.

But it’s Ace who ultimately won her over as Amaya is now officially coupled up with him.

Peacock subscribers previously were left stunned after spotting what they believed was a woman’s IUD on the floor of the villa garden.

The dating show returned this week, with Ariana Madix on hand to introduce the islanders to their new home.

On day three of the show, the new gang of sexy singles got to know each other better with a game of State Your Case – with briefcases revealing the baggage each islander has.

As the swimsuit wearing contestants headed onto the garden, eagle-eyed fans caught what appeared to be an IUD laying on the wooden floor.

Sharing a screengrab of the moment, they quickly took to social media, with one post on Reddit declaring: “Is that not an IUD? At 40:39. I saw a FB comment about it and I’m dying”

“How did you even clock this😂😂😂😂 y’all are too observant,” said one.

While another speculated: “That’s why they removed the preview for next episode 🤣🤣

“Omg you are wild for finding this, the internet never fails to amaze me 😝❤,” noted a third.

“Well i guess we’ll know who’s it is if a little islander pops out in 9 months,” joked a fourth.

However, others were quick to note that an IUD – which is typically inserted into woman as a form of birth control – was unlikely.

Instead, they noted it was likely part of a flower, which confused fans last year thanks to their stems branching out into a T shape similar to that of an IUD.

“No no no it’s funnier as an IUD,” one responded, while another noted: “Yes it’s funnier but rumors are awful.”

The new season of the dating competition favorite has already got to a wild start with one islander already leaving.

Yulissa Escobar, a 27-year-old businesswoman from Miami, Florida, made a hasty exit from the show on day 2 with little explanation.

She is yet to comment on her exit, with the show not providing a reason. Instead narrator Iain Stirling noted to audiences that she had left the villa.

Prior to entering the show, Yulissa stirred controversy online after using a racial slur in relation to a Black ex-boyfriend during an appearance on a podcast.

As a result, some had already declared their intention to get her dumped from the villa.

It’s unclear if this is the reason behind her exit or if it was something else.

Iconic 1968 model is pulled from a barn after 40 years – owner just wanted $1 but gearheads noticed an expensive detail

A RARE vintage car that has been abandoned in a barn for four decades was put up for sale for only $1.

The seller said he tried to restore the 1968 Chevrolet but ultimately decided to pass it off to another car enthusiast.

A seller on eBay listed a vintage Chevrolet for only $1[/caption]

There are over 40 bids on the vintage car[/caption]

The listing on eBay currently has 43 bids, and nearly 400 people have added the vintage car to their watchlist.

The owner gave very minimal details about the car itself, titling the post, “1968 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport/Super Sport.”

Although the seller lists the car as a Rally Sport and Super Sport, Auto Evolution claims this car is neither.

“High school hot rod,” the description reads.

“Parked for about 40 years. My father parked it in the barn when I went into the Army. Unfortunately, I don’t have any means to restore it myself,” they added.

A 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport (RS) was a stylish and sporty option, known for its distinctive features like hidden headlights, rally wheels, and optional stripes.

The RS package enhanced the Camaro’s look with chrome accents, simulated louvers, and a black-painted grille.

Under the hood, it could feature a variety of V8 engines, offering a blend of performance and style.

The car listed on eBay doesn’t possess any of these features, as pointed out by Auto Evolution.

Buyers consider the Camaro’s styled rally wheels as coveted vintage features that add to the vehicle’s sporty aesthetic.

Auto Evolution also notes that the 327 cubic inch V8 engine is an obvious clue that this classic car isn’t a Super Sport, which came with 350s and 396s.

Also, RS models often had a deluxe interior with bucket seats and a center console, providing a more comfortable and sporty driving experience.

The owner of this specific car posted several photos of the vehicle’s interior, which doesn’t appear to be in terrible condition.

The seats do have a layer of dust and dirt that accumulated after being abandoned for several years.

Five steps for restoring a car

Restoring a car can be a massive undertaking. Here's a simpler way to think about the process as a whole:

  1. Plan

The seller also specified that this is a used car that is located in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Although the owner originally set the asking price at only $1, the current highest bidder is willing to pay $12,000 for the vintage ride.

Chevrolet designed the Camaro to compete with Ford’s Mustang, which is considered an icon of American performance and style.

Roughly 235,000 Camaros were manufactured between 1968 and 1978, which bumped the automaker’s sales during that time.

Auto Evolution believes that the seller did try to fix up the car at one point, judging by the mismatched hue on the fender compared to the rest of the body.

Despite much information about the car, several active bids will be settled in only three more days.

Harvey Weinstein jurors hint at ‘hung jury’ in retrial & send back-to-back notes to judge on third day of deliberations

JURORS in Harvey Weinstein’s sex crimes retrial are stuck in limbo as deliberations continue for the third day.

The jury asked the judge to clarify the rules of a hung jury in a note on Monday morning, signalling that the jurors might not be in agreement on Weinstein’s verdict.

The panel of seven women and five men began weighing two counts of criminal sex act and one count of rape against the disgraced movie mogul on Thursday.

Weinstein, 73, has pleaded not guilty.

The jury has shown signs of multiple issues in coming to a decision on the retrial.

On Monday morning, jurors sent back-to-back notes to the judge.

In one note, the jury requested hung jury rules and for the definition of reasonable doubt.

Judge Curtis Farber emphasized that there’s no indication that the jury is hung yet.

In another note, the jury’s foreperson asked to speak to the judge “about a situation that isn’t very good.”

The juror said he was concerned about “something going on in the jury room.”

The juror then went behind closed doors to discuss the issue with prosecutors, the defense team, and Farber.

It’s unclear what the issue in question is.

On Friday, Farber denied a juror who asked to be removed from deliberations.

The juror claimed that some jurors were treating a member in an “unfair and unjust way.”

However, the judge told him he had to keep deliberating.

Farber also denied the defense’s request for a mistrial over the issue.
