DIY SOS presenter Nick was decked out in his pink jacket while lingerie boss Katie sported her elegant blue floral gown as they swayed and gazed lovingly into each other’s eyes.
Ever the joker, Nick couldn’t resist having a laugh and busted out some twerking at the end, while Katie jokingly shook her head.
Katie then did a costume change and slipped into a white mini dress with match trainers and a glittery hat.
Nick clearly liked what he saw, removing his jacket and spinning it around over his head.
And despite having to pull out of Strictly Come Dancing due to injury last year, Nick proved he’s still got the moves as he spun his wife around the floor.
Later the pair let their hair down further by downing shots with their pals.
There was also lots of entertainment for guests, with a carnival dancer taking to the stage at one point.
Later, a band performed songs for the merry crowd.
Nick and Katie spared no expense on the big day, which is rumoured to have cost six figures.

She said: “I think at the start, it was probably more irritating, especially for my family. But now those comments kind of just pass over me because we both know it’s not true.
“Nick works hard, he has what he has. I work hard, I have what I have and then we buy each other stuff.
“So we’re both really comfortable with where we are with that and you will always get it because there’s an age gap.’
She continued: “I know plenty of people who are together and the same age where someone’s using the other one for money and they’re not happy.

LOVE Island bombshell Toni Laites has opened about her chronic health condition ahead of entering the villa.
The American star, 24, is set to enter the Mallorca house as the first bombshell of this year’s series – and is ready to bag a British boy as she believes they’re “more polite with better manners” than their American counterparts.

Instagram/@connecticutchildrensToni thanked the doctors for making her prom dream come true[/caption]
But ahead of entering the villa, Toni shared that she is also battling an illness that leaves her in agonising pain.
She said ahead of entering the show: “I have ulcerative colitis. I had to go to hospital the same week as my senior prom.
“They told me, ‘You can’t go’ and then they said, ‘Surprise, you’re going to prom!’
“Nothing that exciting happens in Connecticut, so it was a big deal and a few articles were written about me.”
“What I hope people see from me being on Love Island is that not all illnesses are visible,” she added.
“It doesn’t have to hold you back, you can travel etc…I live my life day-to-day like anyone else.”
In 2018, Toni was taken to prom straight from the hospital at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, with the team looking after her making sure she was primped and primed for the event.
She wrote a gold sequinned mermaid gown for the event, and posed with her doctors before going.
The hospital later shared photos of her getting ready on Instagram, writing: “After spending a week inpatient for a flare up of #UlcerativeColitis, 17-year old Toni Laites of Newington was told she would be unable to attend her prom…until her team of doctors and nurses at Connecticut Children’s banded together to grant her a therapeutic leave, giving Toni the opportunity to experience the Cinderella prom she always dreamed of.”
Toni has said she’s entering the Love Island UK villa because dating in the States is “a mess” – particularly after moving from Connecticut to Florida and then Las Vegas, Nevada.
“I live in cities that are fast-paced and party places; Las Vegas and Florida,” she explained.
“People are here for a good time, not a long time. I live in Sin City!
“I do love Las Vegas. I’ve met some of the greatest people I’ve ever met there. I’m willing to relocate, it would just break my heart to not have my job anymore.”
She warns that her “icks” are bad breath, bad hygiene, and not being dressing appropriately for a date.
Toni will enter the house this week, with the series kicking off on Monday night with Maya Jama welcoming this year’s line-up to the villa.
Love Island starts Monday at 9pm on ITV, ITV2 and ITVX.
What is Ulcerative Colitis?
Here's what you need to know about Ulcerative Colitis..
Colitis is a condition where the colon and rectum become inflamed.
The colon is the large intestine, or bowel, and the rectum is the end of the bowel where stools are stored. Ulcers can develop on the colon’s lining and bleed and produce pus.
Ulcerative colitis is a form of colitis that is caused by autoimmune inflammation (the body attacking itself), whereas colitis can be caused by a number of factors including infection.
Ulcerative colitis is similar to another condition which causes inflammation of the gut – Crohn’s disease.
Symptoms can often be very mild for weeks or months but flare ups with extreme symptoms can cause a lot of pain and trouble for sufferers.

1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Mounjaro is the best decision I’ve ever made & not because of the 4st I’ve lost – it’s down to a surprising side effect
CLARE Butler struggled with her weight for most of her adult life. As an emotional eater, food was her go-to whenever she felt sad, happy, stressed, or angry.
But after turning to fat jabs, the 48-year-old mum has seen many aspects of her life transformed – not just her waist.
Clare Butler weighed 18st, 3lbs at her heaviestClare ButlerClare ButlerShe tried out various diets but she always struggled with consistency[/caption]
Clare ButlerAfter discovering weight loss jabs, Clare managed to lose 4 stone 4 lb[/caption]
Weighing 18st, 3lbs at her heaviest, Clare spent years trying every diet under the sun but found no long-term success.
The trigger for her weight gain? Years of fertility struggles and a fibromyalagia diagnosis.
Clare, from Manchester, shared: “I went through years of heartbreaking fertility struggles, including 19 miscarriages, and food became my comfort.
“About nine years ago, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. That’s when my movement slowed, and the weight started creeping on more and more.”
Clare turned to various diets – including SlimFast shakes, Weight Watchers, even the Rosemary Colney diet – but the problem she found was consistency.
She revealed: “I’d do well for a couple of weeks, but then something would trigger a binge.
“Every time I slipped, the guilt, shame, and self-hate would pile on. I couldn’t understand why I couldn’t just stop overeating.
This cycled continued through her 30s and 40s and deeply affected her mental health.
“I battled depression and panic attacks, and I missed so many moments with my children,” she said.
“I’d stay home while they went out with my husband, and when they came back full of stories and pictures, it broke my heart.
“I felt like a burden, convinced they’d be better off without me.”
But it was January last year when a friend told her about Mounjaro.
Mounjaro (tirzepatide) became available in the UK in February 2024, primarily for private use.
But access to the weight loss jab through the NHS has gradually been rolled out.
By activating GIP and GLP-1 receptors, Mounjaro slows down the emptying of the stomach, making you feel fuller for longer and reducing appetite.
I spent months researching it, and in July 2024, I finally decided to take the plunge. It’s the best decision I’ve ever made for myself
Clare Butler
This can lead to eating less food overall.
Clare said: “A friend told me about Mounjaro and the amazing results they were having.
“I spent months researching it, and in July 2024, I finally decided to take the plunge.
“It’s the best decision I’ve ever made for myself.”
“I had lots of questions and uncertainty at the start and I could never get hold of anyone at the pharmacy for advice and help.
“That’s when I started to research for a pharmacy that offered support and found Voy and I am so glad I did.
What are the other side effects of weight loss jabs?
Like any medication, weight loss jabs can have side effects.
Common side effects of injections such as Ozempic include:
Nausea: This is the most commonly reported side effect, especially when first starting the medication. It often decreases over time as your body adjusts.
Vomiting: Can occur, often in conjunction with nausea.
Diarrhea: Some people experience gastrointestinal upset.
Constipation: Some individuals may also experience constipation.
Stomach pain or discomfort: Some people may experience abdominal pain or discomfort.
Reduced appetite: This is often a desired effect for people using Ozempic for weight loss.
Indigestion: Can cause a feeling of bloating or discomfort after eating.
Serious side effects can also include:
Pancreatitis: In rare cases, Ozempic may increase the risk of inflammation of the pancreas, known as pancreatitis, which can cause severe stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting.
Kidney problems: There have been reports of kidney issues, including kidney failure, though this is uncommon.
Thyroid tumors: There’s a potential increased risk of thyroid cancer, although this risk is based on animal studies. It is not confirmed in humans, but people with a history of thyroid cancer should avoid Ozempic.
Vision problems: Rapid changes in blood sugar levels may affect vision, and some people have reported blurry vision when taking Ozempic.
Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): Especially if used with other medications like sulfonylureas or insulin.
“Unlike most pharmacies they don’t just send you your medication and leave you to figure it out on your own. They offer full support alongside it.
“They give you 1:1 health coaching, and my coach has been incredible in helping me with my mindset around my emotional eating, something I would have struggled to deal with alone.”
Clare was nervous before taking her first injection, but once she did it, she said she barely felt a thing.
She continued: “Within hours, the constant food noise in my head quieted down.
“I stopped obsessing over what to eat next, and for the first time, I felt in control.
“I started learning about nutrition, trying healthier foods, cooking new recipes, and most importantly, learning that no food is off-limits – it’s about moderation.
I remember going out with friends or family and wondering how they could leave food on their plates because they were ‘full’. I never understood that feeling before. Now, I do

“For the first time in my life, I can stop when I’m satisfied.
“I remember going out with friends or family and wondering how they could leave food on their plates because they were ‘full’.
“I never understood that feeling before. Now, I do.”
While weight loss jabs have been known to cause extreme side effects in some people, Clare says her side effects have been minimal – dry mouth, some headaches, a little acid reflux, and occasional loose stools, which she adds are all manageable.
Since starting the jabs in July, Clare has lost 4st 4 lb.
She still wants to lose another 2.5 to 3 stone, but already feels better than she has in years.
Clare ButlerClare’s weight wrecked her mental health as she battled depression, panic attacks and missed many moments with her kids[/caption]
Now Clare has gained her confidence back, her energy levels are back up, and life feels good againClare Butler
Clare said: “My confidence is back, I’m enjoying life, and now when my husband and kids go out, I go with them.
“We recently went on holiday to Crete, and for the first time, I didn’t need a seat belt extender on the plane – I cried happy tears.
“I even shared that moment on TikTok, and hundreds of people reached out to say they related.”
And weight loss jabs have had a positive impact on her mental health too.
She explained: “My depression affected every aspect of my life. I barely left the house for fear of panic attacks.
“Mounjaro didn’t only quieten the food noise, but it helped to quieten the over thinking anxious thoughts that had consumed my life for so long.
“My life is so different now to how it was a year ago. Do I still suffer with anxiety and panic attacks? Yes, but it isn’t as severe and my confidence is slowly returning.
“My mind feels quieter around everything, not just the food noise. I have still had panic attacks and I still suffer with days of low mood but it isn’t as severe as it was.”
Clare gets her Mounjaro from a pharmacy called Voy.
But she didn’t actually start her weight loss jabs journey with them.
She said: “I used a couple of other pharmacies but they just were not good enough for me.
“I had lots of questions and uncertainty at the start and I could never get hold of anyone at the pharmacy for advice and help.
“That’s when I started to research for a pharmacy that offered support and found Voy and I am so glad I did.
Lifestyle changes like diet and exercise are crucial when taking weight loss jabs, especially for long-term weight management.
Exercise is still tricky for Clare because of her fibromyalgia, but she’s added gentle movement like walking on a walking pad at home.
She said: “As the weight comes off, my energy has gone up, and life feels good again – something I never thought I’d say.
“I’m still on Mounjaro and ball park figure I’ve spent so far is £1,500, but starting it has been the best decision I’ve ever made.”
Latest guidance on fat jabs
On June 5, 2025, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) issued new guidance warning women taking fat jabs to ensure they are also using effective contraception.
While information is already contained in patient information leaflets, concerns have been raised over many women purchasing the drugs online, who may not be aware of the risks.
Women taking Mounjaro should also use condoms if they’re on oral contraception because the weight loss drug may reduce its effectiveness, said the MHRA.
And glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1 RAs) must not be taken during pregnancy, while trying to get pregnant, or during breastfeeding and anyone who gets pregnant should stop using them immediately.
This is because there’s currently not enough safety data to know whether taking the medicine could cause harm to the baby, the regulator added.
In some cases, women are advised to continue using contraception for up to two months between stopping the medicine and trying to get pregnant.
The MHRA has also reminded patients of the symptoms to look out for of acute pancreatitis – an uncommon but serious side effect of fat jabs.
The main symptom is severe pain in the stomach that radiates to the back and doesn’t go away.
Anyone who experiences this should seek immediate medical help.
Everything you need to know about fat jabs
Weight loss jabs are all the rage as studies and patient stories reveal they help people shed flab at almost unbelievable rates, as well as appearing to reduce the risk of serious diseases.
Wegovy – a modified version of type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic – and Mounjaro are the leading weight loss injections used in the UK.
Wegovy, real name semaglutide, has been used on the NHS for years while Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a newer and more powerful addition to the market.
Mounjaro accounts for most private prescriptions for weight loss and is set to join Wegovy as an NHS staple this year.
How do they work?
The jabs work by suppressing your appetite, making you eat less so your body burns fat for energy instead and you lose weight.
They do this my mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which signals to the brain when the stomach is full, so the drugs are officially called GLP-1 receptor agonists.
They slow down digestion and increase insulin production, lowering blood sugar, which is why they were first developed to treat type 2 diabetes in which patients’ sugar levels are too high.
Can I get them?
NHS prescriptions of weight loss drugs, mainly Wegovy and an older version called Saxenda (chemical name liraglutide), are controlled through specialist weight loss clinics.
Typically a patient will have to have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, classifying them as medically obese, and also have a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure.
GPs generally do not prescribe the drugs for weight loss.
Private prescribers offer the jabs, most commonly Mounjaro, to anyone who is obese (BMI of 30+) or overweight (BMI 25-30) with a weight-related health risk.
Private pharmacies have been rapped for handing them out too easily and video calls or face-to-face appointments are now mandatory to check a patient is being truthful about their size and health.
Are there any risks?
Yes – side effects are common but most are relatively mild.
Around half of people taking the drug experience gut issues, including sickness, bloating, acid reflux, constipation and diarrhoea.
Dr Sarah Jarvis, GP and clinical consultant at patient.info, said: “One of the more uncommon side effects is severe acute pancreatitis, which is extremely painful and happens to one in 500 people.”
Other uncommon side effects include altered taste, kidney problems, allergic reactions, gallbladder problems and hypoglycemia.
Evidence has so far been inconclusive about whether the injections are damaging to patients’ mental health.
Figures obtained by The Sun show that, up to January 2025, 85 patient deaths in the UK were suspected to be linked to the medicines.

CHILDREN face being hit with restrictions on the amount of time they spend on their smartphones under new plans.
Curbs such as a two-hour limit per app and a 10pm curfew could be brought in to boost online safety, a Cabinet Minister has indicated.
Cabinet Minister Peter Kyle is looking at an “App cap” for youngstersGetty
But the move was heavily criticised by campaigners who warned “sticking plasters” won’t be enough to toughen up current laws.
Technology Secretary Peter Kyle gave a clear sign he is considering bringing in an “app cap” for children to tackle big tech firms.
He said: “I’m looking at things that prevent healthy activity, I’m looking at some of the addictive nature of some of the apps and smartphones.
“I’m trying to think how we can break some of the addictive behaviour and incentivise more of the healthy developmental and also the good communicative side of online life.”
Tech firms will be have to follow regulator Ofcom’s code of conduct to keep users safe online, especially children.
Substantial fines and blocking sites are among the penalties for those caught breaking the rules – but campaigners warn this gives the firms the ability to regulate themselves.
Ian Russell, whose daughter Molly took her own life aged 14 after viewing harmful content on social media, hit out at the plans saying Ministers must “act decisively”.
He said: “Every day the Government has delayed bringing in tougher online safety laws we’ve seen more young lives lost and damaged because of weak regulation and inaction by big tech.
“Parents up and down the country would be delighted to see the Prime Minister act decisively to quell the tsunami of harm children face online, but sticking plasters will not do the job.
Mr Russell added: “Only a stronger and more effective Online Safety Act will finally change the dial on fundamentally unsafe products and business models that prioritise engagement over safety.”
1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Doctor reveals side hustle that makes her more money than her full time $300,000 salary
A DOCTOR has revealed they now make more money annually through TikTok than from their salary.
The medical professional started exploring the social media platform a few years ago for a vital reason.
SWNSDr. Fran Haydanek (pictured) is a physician who uses social media as a way to help others[/caption]
GETTYShe’s made TikTok videos since 2021 (stock image)[/caption]
Not long after graduating from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017, Dr. Fran Haydanek, started practicing as a obstetrician-gynecologist (OB/GYN).
Her salary as a physician was set at $300,000, and she took care of patients for a few years before deciding to spend some time creating content through TikTok in 2021.
Dr. Fran was motivated after seeing misinformation online about reproductive health, menopause training, birth control, pregnancy, and several other issues in her area of expertise.
She started creating educational videos to combat the false claims and offered medical recommendations to viewers.
“I started by correcting or giving more insight to those misinformation posts,” said the 37-year-old.
PROFITS RISE
While the goal was never to make money, Dr. Fran starting bringing in some serious cash in 2023 through the TikTok creator fund.
She then tripled that amount by 2024.
Her videos were even performing so well that it began out-earning her salary, providing a unique and profitable side hustle.
“At this point in 2024, I have already made what I will make in my entire year of being a physician,” Dr. Fran explained.
She also made a point to acknowledge that she’s “already privileged with my finances.”
“The extra income has made me feel more secure, because even if I couldn’t do my job, I have a way to earn money.”
Dr. Fran noted that the extra income also wasn’t just nice, but vital as she and her family prepare for the future.
“I have three young children, and a husband who also works as a physician — we have been playing catch-up in our life,” she revealed.
“The extra income has allowed us to have an emergency fund and start saving for our retirement.”
Side hustles and tax implications
Extra income you make from side hustles may need to be reported to the IRS.
If you receive more than $600 in gross payouts from a selling platform like eBay, the site will issue you a Form 1099-K to use in your tax return.
Individuals should calculate their adjusted gross income, taxable earnings, and deductions for the year.
Once they have that, they can use the 1040-ES form to calculate estimated taxes.
“It has also allowed me to take two extra days off a month to spend more time with my kids,” Dr. Fran added.
Some of that money also goes to paying off student loans after 10 years of schooling to become fully qualified.
NEVER QUITTING
Still, for Dr. Fran, the social media success would never sway her from performing her day job as a physician.
She wants her patients to be able to seek out her TikTok posts as a supplemental benefit, and encourages other doctors to use the platforms as a resource for good.
“I feel very strongly about the work that I do, and I feel a real responsibility to be there for my patients,” she emphasized.
“I have worked very hard to get here, and I enjoy the work that I do.”
“The reason I started TikTok is because I want other doctors to know that there is another avenue out there,” Dr. Fran added.
“I want to encourage other doctors that they too can do this, and be resourceful.”
Dr. Fran also isn’t the only expert to bring in a staggering amount of money through a social media side hustle.
A former Ford employee did end up quitting their day job after realizing their side hustle would bring in about $14,200 per month.
Even with $30,000 in debt, a tech company sales representative quit their job after earning $70,000 in several days through a unique gig.

A POPULAR phone app with more than 30 million users is shutting down forever in weeks.
The app was used “billions” of times, but will go offline for good in early July.
Mozilla / PocketPocket is closing down forever in a matter of weeks[/caption]
Pocket is a beloved app that let users save content to read later.
It’s currently owned by Mozilla, which is the tech giant behind the Firefox web browser (a rival to Microsoft Edge, Apple’s Safari, and Google Chrome).
Mozilla says it wants to focus on Firefox instead, and has decided to shut down Pocket permanently as a result.
“We’ve made the difficult decision to shut down Pocket on July 8, 2025,” the Pocket team said in a statement.
“Thank you for being part of our journey over the years.
“We’re proud of the impact Pocket has had for our users and communities.”
Pocket first launched back in mid-2007 as a browser extension for Mozilla Firefox.
It was originally called Read It Later, and quickly grew to have millions of users.
The service rebranded to Pocket in 2012, and its app ended up being used by tens of millions of people around the world.
In early 2017, Pocket revealed that it had been acquired by Mozilla.
Then just a few weeks ago, Mozilla confirmed that Pocket would shut down in July – with user data and accounts due for deletion in October.
“As users’ everyday needs evolve alongside the web itself, it’s imperative we focus our efforts on Firefox,” Mozilla said.
“And building new solutions that give you real choice, control, and peace of mind online.
“With that in mind, we’ve made the difficult decision to phase out two products.

“Pocket, our read-it-later and content discovery app, and Fakespot, our browser extension that analyses the authenticity of online product reviews.”
SHUT DOWN EXPLAINED
The app itself (and browser extensions) will shut down totally on July 8, 2025.
Your data will be retained until October 8 – so that gives you a chance to export your “saves”.
But after that date, all of the data will vanish completely.

That includes your account, which will be automatically deleted on October 8.
Some Pocket users will also be owed refunds.
This is the case if you have a Pocket Premium account that you’ve paid for on an annual basis.
So the refund will be based on the time that was left on your subscription after the shut down (July 8).
Pocket refunds – how it works
Here's the official guidance from Pocket...
For monthly subscribers:
We will begin disabling automatic renewal of monthly subscriptions immediately.
You can continue to enjoy the benefits of Pocket Premium until the end of the monthly subscription period.
You will not be charged again, so no refund will be necessary.
No action is required from you.
For annual subscribers:
On July 8, 2025, Annual subscriptions will be cancelled and Annual users will receive a prorated refund automatically to the original payment method.
No action is needed from you.

AppleYour Pocket app on the iPhone will soon break – but you’ll still need to delete it yourself[/caption]
You should get this back automatically to the payment method that you originally used to pay for Pocket Premium.
The Pocket app has already vanished from app stores.
But it can be reinstalled if you already had it but deleted it, right up until October 8, 2025.

The world’s richest man – who reportedly donated $288 million to Trump’s 2024 campaign and briefly served as a White House aide – has now turned on the president over his sweeping tax and spending bill.
And it appears their bromance is now beyond repair.
On Sunday, Trump confirmed to NBC that he has no interest in making amends.
When asked if their relationship was over, the president said: “I would assume so… I have no intention of speaking to him.”
Now, the Tesla and SpaceX boss is said to be grappling with regret and fatigue from his turbulent stint in Washington.
Errol told Putin-controlled media: “So at the moment, Elon is inclined to say that he’s made a mistake.
“Trump will prevail. He’s the president, he was elected as the president.

The South African businessman added: “They are all suffering from a bit of PTSD, a post-traumatic stress disorder over the last few months, they started hitting out at each other.”
He likened the split to a “marriage going wrong”, telling Russian outlet Izvestia: “It happens in marriages, it happens in partnerships, it happens a lot.

Meanwhile, Russia appears eager to capitalize on Musk’s estrangement from the US political elite.
Putin crony Dmitry Medvedev bizarrely offered to mediate peace talks between “D and E” – Trump and Elon – “for a reasonable fee and to accept Starlink shares as payment”.
Speaking to NBC News on Saturday, Trump warned there would be backlash if Musk financially supported Democrats who opposed his budget bill.
“If he does, he’ll have to pay the consequences for that,” Trump said.
“He’ll have to pay very serious consequences if he does that.”
He also asked his 220 million followers whether it was “time to create a new political party”.
By Friday, after 80 percent of 5.6 million responders backed the idea, Musk declared: “This is fate.”
The online feud kicked off on Tuesday when Musk tweeted that Trump’s signature “big beautiful” spending bill was a “disgusting abomination” that would add billions to the federal deficit.
“Congress is making America bankrupt,” he fumed on his platform X.
How did Musk and Trump's relationship crumble?
ELON Musk and Donald Trump spent Thursday launching insults on social media as their relationship quickly went sour.
The Tesla owner called for Trump’s impeachment as the president hit back and warned the government could end all federal contracts with Musk’s companies. Here’s how it went down:
On Tuesday, Musk tweeted that Trump’s signature “big beautiful” spending bill was a “disgusting abomination” that would add billions to the federal deficit
On Thursday in the Oval Office, Trump addressed Musk’s criticism of the bill and accused Musk of trying to kill it because the bill ends federal subsidies for electric vehicles
Musk responded by live-posting on X as Trump spoke, initially shrugging off the president’s assessment with an unbothered “Whatever,” before tearing into the bill’s other spending provisions
Trump escalated the feud after the Oval Office meeting with multiple posts on Truth Social, saying he told Musk to leave the White House instead of continuing to work with Doge and threatening to dump Musk’s federal contracts, which are worth billions
Musk fired back on X by saying he was “decommissioning” the Dragon spacecraft made by SpaceX that brought the stranded Nasa astronauts back from the International Space Station in March
Musk also escalated the war of words by reposting and replying “Yes” to a tweet claiming that Trump should be impeached and replaced by Vice President JD Vance
Musk further fanned the flames by claiming that Trump is named in the infamous “Epstein files” and making unfounded accusations that its the reason they haven’t been released to the public

1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Maura Higgins reveals Love Island USA return – just hours after being ‘replaced’ by new Aftersun host
MAURA Higgins has sensationally revealed she WILL be making a return to Love Island USA, just hours after it was announced the star had been ‘replaced’.
In a new teaser for the reality dating show, which airs on Peacock in the US and will be broadcast later in the year on ITVX in the UK, Maura spills the tea to fellow Love Island host Sophie Monk.
Maura said she’d been ‘double-booked’ and asked Sophie to fill in for herInstagram / @loveislandusaStunning Sophie was more than happy to helpInstagram / @loveislandusa
Sophie, 45, who fronts the Australian version of the show, looked stunning in a red dress as strutted her way in the iconic slow-mo speed.
Pretending to take a call from Maura, the two began catching up about what what was happening.
Sophie answered her cell, which of course had the Love Island theme as her ringtone, saying: “Maura Higgins, iconic bombshell and Love Island After Sun host, what’s going on?”
After asking Sophie what she was up to this summer, Maura explained that she couldn’t explain everything but had cryptically double-booked herself and was looking for help hosting the show.
Maura added: “Don’t get too comfy, I am coming back – it’s my sofa!” Pretending not to hear, Sophie whipped off her bathrobe to reveal a bodycon red dress.
She then whispered to the camera, “I’ve got this,” before introducing herself to the viewers.
Shared on the official Love Island Instagram page, the post was quickly inundated with messages of support from fans.
Sophie Monk also commented, writing to Maura: “we should both probably get an Oscar for this acting, thank you so much for letting me fill in till you’re back.”
Clearly good pals, the Love Island beauty replied: “I’m thinking the same. no THANKYOU!! you are smashing it & look fire.”
Maura began hosting the spinoff show last year when the USA version launched its fifth season.
It is understood that Maura has not been axed, and the shake-up is due to scheduling conflicts.
An insider teased: “She wasn’t able to commit to hosting Aftersun this season due to other work commitments, but she will be back on screen in some capacity later in the run.”
While it’s not confirmed, one fan theory is that she is believed to be filming the US version of The Traitors, following in the footsteps of fellow Love Island star Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
It is thought that she may return to host Aftersun for the second season of Love Island Games, which films later this year in Fiji.
The cast for the next series of The Traitors USA has yet to be officially confirmed.
Love Island USA is available live on Peacock every day at 9pm, except Wednesdays.
