Chiefs heiress Gracie Hunt backs Sydney Sweeney with bold outfit choice and jeans message after American Eagle backlash

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS heiress Gracie Hunt has come out with a tongue in cheek response to the uproar surrounding Sydney Sweeney’s recent American Eagle advert.

The fashion and beauty influencer made the cheeky comment in the caption of a post uploaded to Instagram.

Hunt’s caption references a social media frenzy caused by an American Eagle ad campaign featuring actress Sydney Sweeney[/caption]

The post featured Hunt posing in her branded jeans in a scenic forest location.

Other images in the post included idyllic nature scenes, and even a snap of a wild bear outside Hunt’s lodge.

“Denim days & dreamy nights,” the caption read.

“I like the view and my jeans (not American Eagles – but they are American).”

The post was uploaded to her Instagram account, where she has almost 625,000 followers.

The joke came in the wake of backlash that Sweeney received regarding an ad campaign for American fashion brand American Eagle.

Sweeney went topless at points for the shoot based around denimwear.

The ad featured close-up shots of the actress in denim, and was focused around the wordplay of ‘jeans’ and ‘genes.’

Sweeney’s narration read: “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality, and even eye color.

“My jeans are blue.”

Whether it was enamoured fans or angry detractors, Sweeney drew no shortage of attention to the American Eagle brand

The ad’s discussion of genes drew criticism from some far-left users on social media.

Some even compared the ad’s focus on genes to Nazism and its views on eugenics.

Hunt was clearly amused by the hysteria around the advert, making her nod to the incident in good humour and not seriously getting involved in the bizarre controversy.

The 26-year-old is the daughter of Clark Hunt, owner and chair of NFL organisation the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hunt recently confirmed that she is dating the son of former NFL and Chiefs star Trent Green.

The NFL franchise heiress and her long-time friend Derek Green went public with their relationship in May.

The Morphing Mugs Star Wars Darkness Has Arrived Mug (pictured) is $26[/caption]

Known as Morphing Mugs, the Star Wars-themed coffee cups reveal art depicting certain aspects of the beloved universe when filled with hot liquid, according to the product description.

So, it doesn’t have to be coffee — tea, hot chocolate, even just hot water in the mug would work to transition and show the images.

Consumers can purchase any one of the 24 variations for varying price points per mug.

They range from $9.99 to $26 for individuals, and up to $31 for a set of two.

The Morphing Mugs are also microwave safe, made of a ceramic material, and come in strictly 16-ounce options.

Except, buyers are urged to only hand-wash the mugs to “preserve the Force” and avoid any chipping or breakage.

Over 147 customers have given the Morphing Mugs a 4.4 out of five-star rating on Amazon.

“This was a great gift for my hubby!” a satisfied shopper wrote.

“This cup was a great gift, the person I gave it to loved it!!” another said.

“Like the way the character appears when you fill it with hot beverage, very cute,” a third added.

One of the most popular versions, Darkness Has Arrived, which reveals an intimidating image of Darth Vader, sells for $26.

While the deal isn’t bad, Target does offer a nearly identical option with the Seven20 Star Wars Darth Vader/Death Star Heat Reveal Ceramic Coffee mug for $6 less.

It’s listed for $19.99 on the retail giant’s website, and comes in all black, with Darth Vader on the front and “Galactic Empire” written below.

When filled with hot liquid, the Death Star appears in red behind the iconic character.

Amazon's Morphing Mugs Star Wars come in 24 different design options, either as single cups or in sets. Each is listed below.

SIZE CHANGE

Similar to the Morphing Mugs from Amazon, customers must hand wash the mug and can’t use it in the microwave.

A sole difference is also in the size, as the Seven20 option from Target is only 11 ounces in comparison to the 16-ounce Morphing Mugs.

Some other design options include the Seven20 Star Wars Kylo Ren Heat Reveal Coffee Mug for $14.99 and the Seven 20 Star Wars Force Awakens Heat Reveal Ceramic Mug for $17.99.

Deciding between the Star Wars mugs from Amazon or Target will come down to shoppers’ budgets and personal preferences.

RARE FINDS

Star Wars collectibles can also be worth some serious money.

Antiques Roadshow has featured several owners of memorabilia from the franchise that earned them thousands.

For example, a man brought in a toy collection with a special “double lightsaber feature” that was valued at more than $15,000.

Someone else was left four Star Wars movie posters from their late dad worth at least $3,000 due to a “sheet” marking.

Although the most valuable find was VHS tape that the Pawn Stars evaluated for $315,000.
