REALITY hit Love Is Blind invites singles to fall in love having never locked eyes, never mind lips.

And Netflix is clearly smitten too, having ordered a THIRD run of the dating show before the second has even aired.

Married couple Emma and Matt Willis host the UK version of the global format which sees participants ‘date’ either side of a wall, with the aim of reaching a marriage proposal.

Only once they have become engaged can the couples meet in person.

The series then follows them as they decide if they really do want to tie the knot and prove love can be blind.

It was a huge hit, with the show garnering 40.9million views in its first month.

A source said: “Everyone at Netflix was thrilled when the UK took to Love Is Blind as passionately as its global counterparts.

“The second series will air this summer but Netflix has begun work on series three as it’s such a no-brainer.”

The news comes the same week the streamer axed Holly Willoughby‘s Celebrity Bear Hunt as its ratings did not justify the vast budget.

Maybe they should have made the A-listers navigate the jungle in blindfolds . . .

JEREMY CLARKSON’s farm has produced another impressive feat – beating Disney.

The launch of series four on May 23 boosted Prime Video’s viewing hours by more than 17million.

And that helped the streamer leapfrog Disney+ to make it into the top three video-on-demand providers for that week.

Netflix and YouTube always lead the chart, this time clocking 142.8million and 140.6million hours, but Prime had 62.8million thanks to Jezza’s series while Disney+ was on 57.3million.

A source said: “Clarkson’s Farm always delivers.

“Jeremy is one of Prime Video’s most bankable stars and with another series on the way next year, the only way is up.”

HE’S been learning scripts for more than three decades, but that doesn’t mean it all comes easy to Idris Elba.

The Luther star has struggled with dyslexia throughout his career, so he uses tech to assist him.

Now Idris has revealed that he and Luther director Stefan Schwartz have launched a new app to help actors learn scripts.

Speaking at London’s SXSW festival, he said: “I find reading scripts very difficult, actually absorbing words.

“My wife knows about this, because whenever I’m texting her, I miss out half the sentences.

“The dyslexia grew over time and it became a bit of a hindrance for me.

“[The app] was just about, ‘what if I could do this in a different way?’”

The tech is currently being used by Stefan on Rings of Power, which Idris admitted he hopes to one day star in.

“Stefan hasn’t cast me yet,” he concluded.

“I’m a little salty about it.”

THE Fortune Hotel, hosted by Stephen Mangan, will return to ITV this summer for its second run, this time with a companion podcast Late Check Out.

I’m slammed for piercing my baby’s ears with hoops, trolls say it’s so ‘council estate’ & call her a ‘baby doll chav’

Molly Ahern took to social media, sharing a video of her tot which left people horrified.

But the mum hit back at trolls judging her[/caption]

The clip, which has now taken the internet by storm, shows her daughter snuggled under a blanket with her mum.

The only thing shown is her daughter’s large gold hoops hanging from her ears.

In the clip, the mum joked she was making the most of her daughter’s cuddles before she grew up.

She wrote: “Treasuring these cuddles cos in 15 years I’m gonna be a ‘fat s**g’ for not letting a drug dealer with one tracksuit and a 3.5 to his name stay in my home with her.”

Molly also captioned the post ‘No boyfriends.’

But that was not what caught viewers’ attention.

Instead, people were focused on the little girl’s earrings and had plenty to say about it.

The video shared on her TikTok account @molly.ahern21 went viral with over 200k views and people didn’t hold back on their opinions.

While some said it was giving ‘council house’ vibes others called her a ‘chav.’

One person wrote: “Holy council estate.”

Another commented: “The earrings say enough already.”

“Oh dear,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Those hoops are a choking hazard.”

“The earrings are a NO!” claimed a fifth.

Ear-piercing babies and toddlers

CAROL Cooper, Sun Doctor, reveals the medical implications of ear-piercing babies and toddlers:

  • Ear-piercing in babies and toddlers is controversial. On the one hand, it could be seen as a form of child abuse. But it’s also widely done in many countries and cultures, and is a lot less of an assault than other procedures some girls have to endure.
  • There are certainly medical hazards.
Infection is one, which is why many paediatricians recommend waiting until at least the first tetanus jab at two months of age. But there are also many other potential infections which routine vaccines don’t prevent. Getting ears pierced somewhere that just looks clean is no guarantee.
  • Tearing the earlobe is a risk if the earring gets caught on clothing or bedding, or the baby just pulls on it.
  • The earrings can also fall out, and they’re small enough to be a choking hazard to a baby or young child.
Sometimes keloid scarring results, with an unsightly lumpy scar.
  • That’s why it’s better to wait till your child is old enough to want pierced ears, as well as to look after them herself.

Someone else added: “The earrings! Poor baby.”

But Molly didn’t seem fussed as to what haters had to say.

In the comments, she told them to ‘put a sock in it,’ and revealed her baby didn’t cry when the piercing was done.

In another clip, laughing at the nasty trolls, she said she and her baby was unfazed by the hate.

“My little baby doll chav,” she captioned the post.

The documentary’s first episodes dropped in January[/caption]

However, they were reunited with a New Year’s Eve clinch, all of which was captured in the documentary.

Prime were blown away by the ratings and were particularly thrilled by the huge numbers of young female viewers which Mollie, 26, brought to the streaming service.

A TV insider said: “Molly-Mae: Behind it All was the most watched show by females in the UK in the hugely valuable 18 to 35 age group.

“That’s a crucial market for the streamer to tap into.

“Viewers were obviously hooked by the ups and downs of her relationship with Tommy, but also inspired by her juggling her love life with being a mother to their young daughter as well as running a business.

“Prime is so keen to get it back on screen that production has already kicked off on the second season which will either drop later this year or early next year.”

Tommy, 26, who is the half brother of boxer champion Tyson Fury, was accused of cheating on Molly-Mae when they split up last August.

They seemed to be reunited after their passionate clinch in January, and have been pictured together on numerous occasions since.

But she only confirmed they were back together last month.

Prime has teased that the second series: “is set to be more personal than ever, as we see Molly at a crossroads in her life…

“With more on her plate than ever before, Molly-Mae is testing living arrangements, taking on personal challenges and making some life altering decisions.”

Molly-Mae: Behind It All dropped its first three episodes in January.

This was followed by a second batch of three episodes four months later.

With yet another win at the French Open, Gauff is one step away from from her first major win.

She took down Lois Boisson in two sets[/caption]

Gauff took down Lois Boisson on her home turf in the semifinal matchup.

It was utter dominance from Gauff, only needing two sets to finish off the Frenchwoman.

Despite the crowd overwhelmingly rooting for Boisson, Gauff took the first two sets 6-1 and 6-2 to win the match.

It was a miraculous run from Boisson to even get to the semifinal.

She was ranked No. 361 heading into the event.

However, she managed to take down No. 3 Jessica Pegula and No. 6 Mirra Andreeva to get to the semifinals.

Gauff, who sometimes finds herself emotional during matches, looked completely locked in.

She didn’t get down on herself after mistakes and was calm, cool, and collected throughout the entire win.

However, she did let out a storm of emotion once capturing the win.

The French crowd was left quieted after Gauff’s dominance, as the final French player was eliminated from the tournament.

Now, Gauff is moving on to play in the final against No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka.

She has breezed through the competition, winning her first, second, third, fourth, and quarter-final round matches in two sets.

Thursday’s semifinal was the first match that brought her to three sets.

Her match against Gauff should produce plenty of fireworks between two women looking for their first French Open win.

Fans are thrilled for the matchup and shared who they are rooting for on social media.

Social Security claims hit record rates with filings on track to reach 4m sparking fears of massive payment delays

A RECORD rate of Social Security claims are now being filed leading many to fear a massive delay to payments.

The claimant number is now on track to hit 4 million, with the Social Security Administration (SSA) facing damaging cutbacks.

A record rate of Social Security claims have now been filed, leading many to fear a massive delay to payments[/caption]

As one of the most important pieces of financial aid, Social Security is now being overwhelmed with new claims for support.

The most recent data from the SSA shows that the number of people asking for support is nearing the 4 million mark.

This marks an increase of 17% to 1.8 million claimants this year through May compared with the same 2024 period, according to the SSA.

The SSA already provides services to nearly 70 million retirees in the US, and will struggle to fulfil this much traffic.

The spike has come as Donald Trump has slashed SSA staffing from 57,000 to 50,000, despite the President’s pledge not to touch it.

This is down from the SSA’s 63,000 employees a decade ago in 2015.

Over the past 10 years, the number of people claiming Social Security has risen from roughly 59 million to where it is today.

Max Richtman, president of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, told CBS: “I have attended several town halls around the country, and many people have asked if they should claim benefits early given Trump and [Elon] Musk’s interference in the system.

“People are scared, and they’re not sure what to do.”

A STRUGGLING INSTITUION

The SSA has long sparked concern, because it is paying out more than it is collecting through taxes.

This is due to the aging US population, so the SSA has been dipping into its trust fund to pay beneficiaries.

The agency has projected this fund will run out in 2035, triggering a benefits cut of about 20% for recipients.

A record number of people are hitting retirement age, which would add to the strain.

It is also thought that recent changes to Social Security through the Social Security Fairness Act is creating more recipients than ever.

WHEN SOCIAL SECURITY PAYMENTS ARE MADE

Social Security payments are issued on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of each month based on the recipient's birthdate:

  • Second Wednesday: For individuals born between the 1st and 10th of the month
  • Third Wednesday: For those born between the 11th and 20th
  • Fourth Wednesday: For those born between the 21st and 31st

The US Sun reported in February that a change in law would give millions retroactive payments they had been denied.

Some 3.2 million Americans were having their checks withheld due to a couple of loopholes, Government Pension Offset (GPO), and the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP).

But now these are gone, and more retirees are being paid money they are owed through the SSA.

While this gives needed support to millions, it does add extra strain to the SSA.

Lee Dudek, Acting Commissioner of Social Security, said: “Social Security’s aggressive schedule to start issuing retroactive payments in February and increase monthly benefit payments beginning in April supports President Trump’s priority to implement the Social Security Fairness Act as quickly as possible.

“The agency’s original estimate of taking a year or more now will only apply to complex cases that cannot be processed by automation.

“The American people deserve to get their due benefits as quickly as possible.”

The Spiral skinny jeans showed off the mom-of-two’s best assets thanks to black panels down the back of the leg, that contrasted against the blue denim color to give a thong-like effect.

Khloé posted photos of her posing in the country-inspired design, completing the look with a black t-shirt and cowboy hat.

“This ain’t Texas IYKYK,” she captioned the post, quoting lyrics to Beyoncé’s hit track, Texas Hold ‘Em.

Fans were divided about the look, and even though many did not like the jeans, admitted Khloé looked incredible.

“Not a fan of the jeans at all, but she’s beautiful always,” wrote one person in the comments.

Another added: “Only Khloé can wear these jeans – anybody else I’ll make fun of – bye.”

And a third commented: “It’s not! We don’t wear those in Texas lol.”

While a fourth posted: “What the actual hell Khloé. And hair up when wearing a cowboy hat?! Girl what!”

Khloé’s foray into country style came after it was revealed her ex-husband Lamar Odom has reportedly been evicted from hiw Los Angeles mansion.

The former Los Angeles Clippers player was evicted allegedly due to ‘failing to pay $45k in rent.’

The New York Post reported that he has been ordered to vacate his mansion after he failed to pay $45,000 in back rent.

In March, Executive Recovery Group, Inc. -the sublessor of the Studio City megamansion – sued Lamar.

The company claimed that the Mavericks star agreed to pay $15,000 a month to stay at the sprawling home.

Woman ‘leaves $5 tip’ then finds $5,000 mystery charge on Wells Fargo account – she was told it couldn’t be reversed

A person speaking to camera next to a Wells Fargo sign.

A WOMAN’S $5 tip turned into a $5,000 nightmare after making a single mistake at the checkout screen.

The shocking charge appeared after a quick trip to a vape shop where she went to buy CBD gel for shoulder pain.

She kept all the paperwork necessary, but it’s been a year, and she never got it back[/caption]

The accidental over-tipping incident occurred at a store in San Bruno, California.

Linda Mathiesen, a Peninsula resident, said she only wanted to tip $5, but an extra zero turned her small gesture into a financial disaster.

“He says enter a tip, so I did. I push what I thought was only two zeros. Ended up being three zeros,” Mathiesen told ABC 7 On Your Side.

“But, there’s no decimal point… I’m like, ‘WAIT! I want to delete this!’”

Receipts show her total bill for her purchase as San Bruno Exotic was $129.28.

Mathiesen said she immediately noticed the mistake and begged the clerk to reverse the transaction. He claimed he “couldn’t” do it.

“He said he didn’t know how,” she said.

Despite her pleas, the receipt shows the tip was processed and not voided.

Mathiesen, a special education teacher living on a fixed income, said the clerk later claimed that the store never received the money.

However, her bank statements told a different story.

“He never erased it, nothing! I was livid,” she said.

The charge threw her life into chaos.

Mathiesen said she called her bank, Wells Fargo, within five minutes of leaving the store.

“Who would ever? Like, $5,000?! I don’t have that kind of money!” she said.

According to Mathiesen, she reached out 22 times to Wells Fargo for help.

“Each time, two hours on the phone,” she said.

Mathiesen said she tried to dispute the charge on the same day – but then nothing happened for months.

Wells Fargo eventually reached out eight months later to inform Matheisen that the case had been closed because “too much time had passed.”

The bank typically requires disputes to be filed within 60 days.

Wells Fargo also claims to offer “zero liability protection” as a way to protect their customers from fraudulent charges if they are reported on time.

But Mathiesen, a Wells Fargo customer of almost 30 years, said she acted fast and called immediately.

“I literally called them within five minutes of being in the store,” she said.

Nearly a year later, the charge had ballooned to $5,500 with interest.

“My son is graduating college next week… and I can’t even buy anything for him because I have $5,000 outstanding,” she said tearfully.

Wells Fargo agreed to refund the full tip plus interest after 7 On Your Side got involved.

“I’m so relieved!” said Mathiesen.

Mathiesen is not the first person to fall victim to a tip gone wrong.

In October 2023, a Georgia woman accidentally tipped $7,112.98 at Subway while trying to enter her loyalty number.

She eventually got the charge reversed, but not without hours of calls and panic, as reported by Today.

Wells Fargo didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment by The U.S. Sun.

New York Knicks stars ‘frustrated’ with Jalen Brunson’s dad and his influence on team after NBA playoff exit

SOME of the New York Knicks players reportedly haven’t been thrilled with Jalen Brunson’s father and his power on the team.

The Knicks are coming off an Eastern Conference Finals defeat to the Indiana Pacers.

The Knicks participated in the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years.

The Big Apple was up for grabs, but the Knicks lost to the underdog Pacers in six games.

The Knicks have since fired their head coach Tom Thibodeau, and there are now recent reports suggesting that numerous players within the franchise aren’t pleased by the influence held by assistant coach Rick Brunson.

The 52-year-old is also the dad of Knicks star and team captain Jalen Brunson.

NBA insider Sam Amico of Hoops Wire reported that “multiple Knicks players have been unhappy with the presence of assistant coach Rick Brunson.”

The report added that the problem “has not been determined, though sources suggested that Rick has had too big a say in things.”

Brunson Sr. joined the Knicks’ coaching staff in 2022.

The decision was seen due to his relationship with Thibodeau and a way to help recruit his son in free agency.

It’s not known whether or not the elder Brunson will stay with the franchise after the firing of Thibodeau on Wednesday.

Brunson Sr. has spent seven years serving as an assistant under Thibodeau.

Still, it’s believed that the incoming coach could be expected to keep the father of Jalen Brunson on the staff.

The younger Brunson has received MVP votes in each of his three seasons with the Knicks.

He also helped the team with his contract extension last summer as he left $100 million on the table to help with roster building.

However, the latest report on Rick Brunson comes as he and his son were among the most vocal Thibodeau supporters during his tenure.

The Brunsons’ close relationship with Thibodeau has caused some to wonder whether the veteran’s exit was due to power struggles, possibly made by Rick.

The Brunsons have been Knicks for the past three seasons[/caption]

Nonetheless, the Knicks will have to fill their head coaching vacancy.

They’ve been connected with names like assistant coach Johnny Bryant and Mike Malone, among others.

They’ll have to dig deep and decide what to do to win an NBA championship for the first time since 1973.

Credit One customers in line to get up to $1,000 as part of $14m ‘robocall’ settlement – exact steps to follow to claim

CREDIT One Bank and its affiliates are in hot water for placing unsolicited robocalls to consumers, now involved in a $14 million class action lawsuit.

Impacted customers of the banking giant can score one-time payments worth up to $1,000 under the settlement terms by following a few easy steps.

Getty
Americans impacted by the settlement can get their hands on a payment worth up to $1,000[/caption]

The thousands of phone calls were placed without prior consent from Credit One customers, effectively violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, or TCPA.

TCPA is federal law created in 1991 to protect consumers from automated communications such as robocalls and text messages unless they have given prior documented consent.

Credit One Bank and its affiliates broke the law by allegedly sending thousands of communications through automated dialing systems and prerecorded voice messages between 2014 and 2019.

The automated systems were used to reach out to current clients and those without a relationship to Credit One, per the lawsuit.

The robocalls regarded marketing, debt collection, and informational purposes.

Class members have argued that they never explicitly gave the banking giant permission to make the calls, categorizing them as a breach of federal telemarketing regulations.

By violating the law, Credit One Bank and its affiliates have ended up in a $14 million class-action settlement.

Although Credit One has not admitted any wrongdoing, the bank is offering cash payments to eligible individuals.

ARE YOU ELIGIBLE?

Consumers must meet several requirements in order to be eligible to receive a check from the $14 million settlement fund.

The first eligibility criteria is that an individual must have received an automated or prerecorded robocall from Credit One Bank or one of its affiliates between 2014 and 2019.

Second, class members must not have given explicit consent to be contacted via automated systems or prerecorded messages prior to receiving the communications.

The last requirement is that individuals must be able to verify that the phone number that received the calls belongs to them.

Being a Credit One customer is not a requirement, as several of the communications were mistakenly sent to wrong numbers or consumers with no relationship to the bank.

Those unsure if they qualify to receive payment are still encouraged to file a settlement claim.

What's a class-action settlement?

Class action lawsuits offer groups of people, or 'classes,' a way to band together in court.

These suits are often brought by one or a few people who allege a company or other entity has wronged a large group of people.

When a suit becomes a class action, it extends to all “class members,” or people who may have similar complaints to those who filed the suit.

Companies often settle class actions – offering payment to class members who typically waive their right to pursue further legal action by accepting money.

These payout agreements frequently include statements by the defendant denying wrongdoing. Companies tend to settle class actions to avoid the costs of further litigation.

Pollution, discrimination, or false advertising are a few examples of what can land a class action on a company’s doorstep.

The claims administrator will use call records and third-party data to verify if a consumer is eligible.

HOW MUCH WILL YOU GET PAID?

Exact payment amounts in the Credit One class action settlement will vary based on how many people apply.

Depending on the number of valid claims received, the one-time payments will range from approximately $100 to $1,000.

No proof is needed to receive money from the settlement, although consumers who can provide documentation may be entitled to a larger payment.

Payment Timeline

    • Final Court Approval Hearing: Date pending
    • Settlement Website Launch: Within 30 to 45 days after court approval
    • Claim Filing Window: Open for 60 to 90 days
    • Claims Review and Verification: Three to five months after claims window closes
    • Estimated First Payment Disbursement: Six to nine months after court approval

For example, those who can present a phone log or billing statement proving the unsolicited calls may receive a bigger payout.

HOW DO YOU FILE A CLAIM?

Consumers impacted by the Credit One settlement will be able to file a claim once the court grants final approval of the settlement.

Once officially approved, a settlement website will be created to accept claim submissions and provide guidance.

Consumers will simply need to visit the website and have a variety of information on hand before filing their claim, including:

    • Full legal name and valid contact information
    • Phone number(s) that received the robocalls
    • Dates or approximate period when calls were received, if known
    • Any supporting documentation is not required but helpful
    • Declaration under penalty of perjury affirming the claim’s truthfulness

    Next Steps for Claimants

    1. Monitor your email and mailbox for a notice about the class action settlement.
    2. Collect the needed documentation and phone records if you have them available.
    3. Visit the official claims website once it is launched.
    4. Submit the required information prior to the deadline.
    5. Select your preferred payment method when you submit your claim.

Individuals whose contact information is associated with call records may receive an emailed or mailed notice of their involvement in the settlement, pending court approval.

The notices will include a unique Claim ID or reference number that can be used to help file a claim quicker via the settlement website.

You may be entitled to compensation from other class action settlements.

Check out the ten settlements Americans can claim before their June deadlines – see how to get instant payouts from the $85.57 million pot.

Plus, Americans can get $5,000 from a $20 million data breach settlement – and there are two ways to score the cash.
