COLE Palmer admits his mum wants him to cheer up and show more emotion.
But the Chelsea and England star says it takes something like a disaster on PlayStation for him to lose his famous cool – and even then only behind closed doors.

Palmer, who is preparing for England’s World Cup qualifier against Andorra, said: “My mum says to try and be a bit more involved and a bit more smiley and energetic and that.
“I went to the one in Abu Dhabi not long ago. But I fell asleep at that one. I don’t know what it was.
“This one, I was awake.”
Palmer’s “Cold” celebration and style of play make him an idol to young fans, regardless of which team they support.
The Chelsea playmaker said: “When you see kids and that doing what they’re doing and saying that, it’s nice.”
Palmer is typically calm about his growing celebrity.
But the born and bred Mancunian Palmer, who left Manchester City for the Blues in 2023, still finds living down south a challenge.
Palmer previously commented on southerners being grumpy and said: “They’re all still moody. They’re all still like that.
“I think because it’s so busy, they’re all stressed and that. It must be a southern thing.
“I don’t live central. Sometimes I go into central London, but I couldn’t live there.”

1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on Reform chairman QUITS & says helping Farage become PM is ‘not a good use of my time’
REFORM was plunged into chaos tonight after its chairman Zia Yusuf dramatically quit the party.
Mr Yusuf announced on social media that after 11 months in the job “I no longer believe working to get a Reform government elected is a good use of my time”.
PAReform chairman Zia Yusuf announced he’s quitting the party[/caption]
Shutterstock EditorialMr Yusuf was seen as a rising star in the party and close ally of Nigel Farage[/caption]
Responding to the shock resignation, Nigel Farage said he is “genuinely sorry”
The Reform Leader added: “He was a huge factor in our elections success on May 1st and is an enormously talented person.
“Politics can be a highly pressured and difficult game and Zia has clearly had enough.
“He is a loss to us and public life.”
Insiders said that the chairman had felt “shafted” into running the party’s DOGE efficiency unit, aimed at slashing waste in local authorities.
He also earlier on Thursday clashed with Reform’s newest MP, Sarah Pochin, over the idea of a burqa ban.
Mr Yusuf said: “Eleven months ago I became Chairman of Reform.
“I’ve worked full time as a volunteer to take the party from 14 to 30 per cent, quadrupled its membership and delivered historic electoral results.
“I no longer believe working to get a Reform government elected is a good use of my time, and hereby resign the office.”
Mr Yusuf was seen as a rising star in the party and close ally of Mr Farage.
While not an MP, the entrepreneur fronted several of the parties press conferences.
He worked as chairman in a voluntary capacity.
Cracks in Mr Yusuf’s relationship with the wider Reform party started show months ago – but a major row over banning face coverings brought simmering tensions to boiling point.
Responding to Ms Pochin’s demand for a burqa ban, Mr Yusuf blasted: “Nothing to do with me.
“I do think it’s dumb for a party to ask the PM if they would do something party itself wouldn’t do.”
The comment contradicted strong statements in favour of a ban from Deputy Leader Richard Tice and whip Lee Anderson.
Reform is riding high in the polls but behind the scenes, it’s been no stranger to bloodletting.
Earlier this year, a brutal row saw MP Rupert Lowe suspended after Mr Yusuf reported him to police for alleged threats and bullying – claims later dropped by prosecutors.
Mr Lowe denied everything, accused party bosses of smearing him with “vexatious” claims, and said Mr Farage had stabbed him in the back for daring to push internal reforms.
Ben Habib, former deputy leader, backed him and blasted Mr Yusuf’s handling of the row, accusing Mr Farage of running Reform like a dictatorship.

MANOR SOLOMON is set to be given a second chance at Tottenham.
The Israeli winger, 25, has become a forgotten man in N17 after spending the season on loan at Leeds.
Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou is set to welcome back Manor SolomonGettySolomon spent last season with Leeds on loan and experienced immense successReutersSolomon hasn’t played for Tottenham since September 2023Getty
But he proved to be a huge hit at Elland Road, netting ten goals in 41 appearances as he helped the Whites to promotion back to the Premier League.
Leeds are keen to sign him permanently, while there are believed to be other suitors in the Premier League interested in Solomon’s services.
But SunSport understands the North Londoners are minded to bring him back into the first-team fold over pre-season with the ambition of keeping him next season.
That is despite all the uncertainty around the managerial position at Tottenham.
Former Fulham loanee Solomon joined Tottenham on a free transfer in 2023.
That is after he left Shakhtar Donetsk following Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine the year before.
His first campaign was blighted by a hamstring injury, limiting him to just six Spurs appearances.
Solomon’s last game for Tottenham was back in September 30, 2023.
It is understood the latter is more likely, despite the Aussie delivering Spurs their first trophy in 17 years with last month’s Europa League triumph.
Thomas Frank and Marco Silva, of West London rivals Brentford and Fulham respectively, are among the candidates to succeed Postecoglou if he is sacked.

Stanley Street Motors, run by John Mitchell, has been serving a loyal client base since 1980.
But the boss revealed he will be powering down operations due to health reasons.
In a statement on Facebook, the firm said: “Stanley Street Motors has now ceased trading, due to ill-health and retirement.
“This facebook page is in the process of being closed down, and the automatic updates will shortly cease. Our website will have further details in due course.
“We at Stanley Street Motors want to thank you, our customers and friends, and all our suppliers, contractors and supporters, everyone who bought our cars, liked our posts and recommended us to others.
“For over 40 years we have bought and sold cars from Stanley Street. Over the years we have had tens of thousands of lovely customers, many of whom became, not just repeat customers, but friends.
“We will miss you all. Thank you and goodbye.”
The site will now be up for grabs at auction through Auction House East Anglia, as reported by the Eastern Daily Press.
Bidders will have the opportunity to bag the property on June 18.
A guide price has been listed for anywhere between £200,000 and £300,000.
A spokesperson from the auctioneers said: “Former car sales showroom and forecourt with development potential.
“This showroom with offices and workshop is to be sold vacant and ready for a new operator, or there is potential to change the current use subject to planning.
“The premises has been used successfully for used cars sales and repairs by the current owners for over 40 years but is now being sold due to retirement.
“The premises comprise of a generous showroom, workshop, two offices, presentation suite, kitchen and cloakroom.
“There is a large forecourt for upwards of 30 cars and the premises has three phase electricity and security alarm system.”
This comes as motor dealerships across the UK have been waving goodbye amid a string of devastating closures.
The German online used car marketplace has made heavy losses since opening in the UK in 2019 when it looked to rival Auto Trader and Motors.

Everything you need to know about fat jabs
Weight loss jabs are all the rage as studies and patient stories reveal they help people shed flab at almost unbelievable rates, as well as appearing to reduce the risk of serious diseases.
Wegovy – a modified version of type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic – and Mounjaro are the leading weight loss injections used in the UK.
Wegovy, real name semaglutide, has been used on the NHS for years while Mounjaro (tirzepatide) is a newer and more powerful addition to the market.
Mounjaro accounts for most private prescriptions for weight loss and is set to join Wegovy as an NHS staple this year.
How do they work?
The jabs work by suppressing your appetite, making you eat less so your body burns fat for energy instead and you lose weight.
They do this my mimicking a hormone called GLP-1, which signals to the brain when the stomach is full, so the drugs are officially called GLP-1 receptor agonists.
They slow down digestion and increase insulin production, lowering blood sugar, which is why they were first developed to treat type 2 diabetes in which patients’ sugar levels are too high.
Can I get them?
NHS prescriptions of weight loss drugs, mainly Wegovy and an older version called Saxenda (chemical name liraglutide), are controlled through specialist weight loss clinics.
Typically a patient will have to have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher, classifying them as medically obese, and also have a weight-related health condition such as high blood pressure.
GPs generally do not prescribe the drugs for weight loss.
Private prescribers offer the jabs, most commonly Mounjaro, to anyone who is obese (BMI of 30+) or overweight (BMI 25-30) with a weight-related health risk.
Private pharmacies have been rapped for handing them out too easily and video calls or face-to-face appointments are now mandatory to check a patient is being truthful about their size and health.
Are there any risks?
Yes – side effects are common but most are relatively mild.
Around half of people taking the drug experience gut issues, including sickness, bloating, acid reflux, constipation and diarrhoea.
Dr Sarah Jarvis, GP and clinical consultant at patient.info, said: “One of the more uncommon side effects is severe acute pancreatitis, which is extremely painful and happens to one in 500 people.”
Other uncommon side effects include altered taste, kidney problems, allergic reactions, gallbladder problems and hypoglycemia.
Evidence has so far been inconclusive about whether the injections are damaging to patients’ mental health.
Figures obtained by The Sun show that, up to January 2025, 85 patient deaths in the UK were suspected to be linked to the medicines.

1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on I’ve walked the whole UK coast and this often-mocked island one hour from London is the friendliest seaside town
WHEN Quintin Lake travelled for five years around the UK, he encountered all sorts of coastlines, and people too.
For his new book The Perimeter, Quintin ventured across entire coastline of mainland Britain which covered 6800 miles and found what he called the “friendliest place I’ve ever been.”

AlamyHe called Canvey Island the ‘friendliest’ place in the country[/caption]
Talking to Sun Travel about his coastal adventure, Quintin told us: “I thought Canvey Island in Essex was the friendliest place that I’d been.
“I wouldn’t knock places like that either because it’s really easy to get to from London.”
The Essex island in the Thames Estuary near Southend-on-Sea that’s separated from Essex by a network of creeks.
The island’s main attraction is an abandoned oil refinery which has since been turned into a nature reserve.
It’s now home to thousands of rare insects and plants, as well as nightingales, lizards and adders.
Almost surrounded by water, it’s no surprise that Canvey Island has lots of coastal spots that are popular with tourists.
Concord Beach is a hotspot for crabbing, and there’s even a tidal swimming pool.
Just along the coast is Thorney Bay Beach which in 2021 received a Blue Flag award.
The Canvey Seafront is a classic seaside resort, home to museums, cinemas, bingo halls, and a miniature railway.
For kids, there’s also Fantasy Island attractions, with rides and rollercoasters.

AlamyOn the front is a huge 1930s cafe[/caption]
It’s now the only theme park on Canvey Island after the closure of Leisure Island Fun Park.
One of the biggest buildings on the front is Labworth Cafe, dating back to the 1930s, has been renovated and remains a beachfront dining area.
To get to the island, visitors can get the train to Benfleet train station which takes 40 minutes from London Fenchurch Street, and then a bus from there, taking around 45 minutes.
It wasn’t just Canvey Island that Quintin was charmed by, he even went so far as to say that Essex was the most “underrated” county in the UK.
He added that during his trip, he bumped into locals who were “really fun.”
He said: “It makes me laugh because all the counties next to each other have a real rivalry.
“Everyone in Suffolk says Essex is horrible, and everyone in Suffolk says don’t go to Essex.
“But I find it quite endearing that every single county reckons that theirs is the best.”

Photographer Quintin travelled through Wales, Scotland and England, finding incredible and sometimes hidden coastal spots.
All in all, he took 1,300 pictures and spent a lot of time wild camping.
Along the way he found some incredible spots like Achmelvich Bay which he said looked like it belonged in the Bahamas.
There’s white sands and bright blue seas – the only big difference will be the weather.

1 week agoUSA UpdateComments Off on I impulsively got a cheap BBL in Turkey then almost died – I was wide awake on the operating table and vomiting blood
A WOMAN has revealed she was left traumatised after jetting to Turkey for a BBL.
@itsmekaylajadeKayla Jade flew to Turkey on an impulse for BBL surgery[/caption]
@itsmekaylajadeBut he revealed she almost died trying to save cash[/caption]
Taking to social media, Kayla said: “So I almost died from my first BBL (Brazilian Butt Lift) in Turkey and like I can be quite impulsive so I definitely rushed into it without thinking of the complications that the surgery may have had.
“I’m all about doing what makes you feel good but I kind of wish I knew what I knew now before I got my BBLs.”
She revealed that she got the surgery done several years ago, and she didn’t have much money, she ‘cheapened out’ and went to Turkey for it.
The package included the surgery, flights and accommodation and she was taken straight from the airport to the clinic.
But when she got there, they said the doctor was at the hospital so she had to go there for her consultation.
After getting to the hospital, they spend hours looking for the doctor only to be told to head back to the clinic.
The lack of organisation was just the start of Kayla’s nightmare.
When she eventually found the doctor, he told KAyla she didn’t have enough fat for the results she wanted, something she refuted as she had been gaining weight for the surgery.
She said: “It’s like he was trying to lower my expectations because he knew he was gonna cheap out and do a half-a**ed job.
“So I felt c**p, but I was like, I still had hope inside me.”
Kayla soon found herself on the operating table, and recalled being awake the entire time and was able to feel everything.
While they sucked the fat out of her body to place in her bum, she could feel the metal rod at work and the fat being ‘sucked’ off.
She continued: “I remember I could hear nurses and the doctors talking and I couldn’t move my body.
There was nothing I could do. I was just lying there in my head screaming.
Kayla Jade
“I was paralysed, but I could just feel like tears running down my face because I was in so much pain.
“There was nothing I could do. I was just lying there in my head screaming, but I could just feel all the stuff that was happening. I guess they didn’t give me enough anesthetic.”
When Kayla woke up from the surgery she recalls her body violently shaking and throwing up blood because of the shock.
She had also been placed on her back, despite having to lie on your stomach for six weeks after getting a BBL.
After spending the first day in and out of sleep she says she was then forced to get up and walk despite being in and out of consciousness.
Kayla says she begged the nurses to let her stay another night, but was refused and her stuff was packed and she was moved out.
When she finally made her way back to Australia, she noticed the fat removed from her back was done unevenly leaving her lopsided.
She also noticed her bum had barely increased in size, making the horrific surgery futile.
In the end, Kayla decided to get the whole thing reversed in Australia before getting another BBL done there too.
What are the risks of getting surgery abroad?
IT'S important to do your research if you're thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad.
It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks.
Safety standards in different countries may not be as high.
No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad.
If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment.
Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK.
Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems.
Source: NHS
“Please don’t cheapen out like what I did and end up in some crazy situation,” Kayla added.
The clip soon went viral on her TikTok account @blueeyedkaylajade with over 148k likes and people were quick to share their thoughts.
One person wrote: “Kayla, I haven’t even finished the vid yet and this is a horror story.”
Another commented: “Anesthesia awareness is my worst nightmare!”
“BBL’s are never worth it. The most dangerous surgery ever,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “Wow I am imagining this experience as you talk and I am in pain.”
“The recovery alone for a BBL is a no for me haha,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “I’m so sorry. This sounds terrible.”

A SURPRISING item is now banned at a popular US beach destination.
Beachgoers will need to pack lighter this summer, as one city announced it will restrict items that can be brought to the beach, effective immediately.
GettyBeach goers will need to pack lighter on their next trip[/caption]
GettyOcean City Beach will be restricting tents and canopies[/caption]
Officials in Ocean City, Maryland, voted to ban select tents and canopies that the public can bring to Ocean City Beach.
Vacationers will only be allowed to set up baby tents, but are prohibited from setting up any other types of tents.
Certain-sized canopies will also be restricted, local CBS affiliate WJZ reported.
Canopies are restricted to 10-by-10 feet and must be at least three feet apart from each other.
The new measure also prohibits canopies from being left unattended before 10 am.
Ocean City Beach Patrol Captain Butch Arbin told the outlet that the new rules are meant to help lifeguards have a clear view of swimmers and sunbathers.
In recent years, officials have noticed an increasing number of tents and canopies blocking lifeguards’ views.
“We saw large canopies and closed tents that blocked the views of other people trying to enjoy the beach, it limited the areas where people could go,” Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan said.
“Our beaches are extremely popular, they get very crowded, and we want to make sure everybody has an opportunity to enjoy the beach,” he added.
On the announcement for the new tent restrictions, the Town of Ocean City wrote that the “ordinance aims to enhance safety, improve visibility, and ensure a more enjoyable experience for all beachgoers.”
“We realize that canopies are important for sun protection,” Meehan stated in the announcement.
“We just want to make sure that what we’re not doing is making it so other people can’t enjoy their time out on the beach as well.”
The changes also aim to reduce crowding during peak beach season.
The announcement stated that the beach is following suit of nearby destinations that previously banned tents.
Delaware’s Rehoboth Beach banned tents, canopies, grills, and campfires back in 2017.
The ordinance was meant to prevent “tent cities” from forming, CBS News previously reported.
Canopy and tent guidelines
Must be open on all four sides
Size limit: no larger than 10ft x 10ft
Keep at least 3 feet of space between your canopy and your neighbor’s
Anchoring must stay within the footprint of the canopy
No canopies left unattended before 10:00 a.m.
Canopies must be placed behind the lifeguard stand
Baby tents are permitted but no larger than 3ft x 3ft x 3ft
“We’ve seen people get in arguments over them,” Kent Buckson, captain of Rehoboth Beach Patrol, said.
“Some use them to illegally smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol on the beach and even set up toilets inside them.
“And it’s a problem that’s been getting worse over the last couple of seasons.”
Delaware’s ordinance only allowed umbrellas up to 7 feet, 6 inches.
