Tesco is selling £12 cabin case that’s £287 cheaper than Samsonite version – and it’s great for EasyJet and RyanAir

SHOPPERS are racing to Tesco to snap up a £12 cabin bag which fits perfectly in EasyJet and Ryanair airplanes.

The bargain case is just a fraction of the price of the Samsonite version.

Three suitcases on sale.
Tesco is selling £12 suitcases on clearance

With the holiday season around the corner, you might be on the lookout for good deals.

After splurging on flights and hotel, the last thing you want is to pay extra for Ryanair or EasyJet luggage fees.

But eagle-eyed shoppers have found a solution with a suitcase that passes the airlines’ restrictions and is easy on your wallet.

One bargain hunter spotted the epic discounts in her local Tesco store and was eager to share it with others.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook page with 2.5 million members, one member uploaded a snap of the cheap suitcases.

In a post, they wrote: “Today at Beeston Tesco Nottingham, was quite a few left, waterproof material too!”

The picture showed a shelf full of of carry-on cases which are retailing for only £12 on clearance.

Apart from waterproof material, the suitcases sport a 360 degrees gliding wheels and can fit up to 30litres of clothing.

In comparison, a similar suitcase from Samsonite will set you back a whopping £295.

Shoppers were left open-mouthed by the cheap suitcases and many eagerly flocked to the comments to express this.

One fan raved: “These are actually really good.”

While another called them “a bargain buy”.

The discounted cases are a part of Tesco’s Constellation line, which also offers Manhattan-style luggage in a variety of colours and sizes.

Members of Clubcard will also be able to take advantage of some fantastic discounts.

The Manhattan Constellation cabin case costs £55 at full price, but with a Clubcard, it just costs £40.

But some lucky shoppers have found even better deals on leftover or reduced stock, with some scanning at just £12 at the checkout.

Just be aware that prices vary from store to store and depend on local stock, so it’s worth checking your nearest Tesco or phoning ahead to ask if they’ve got any left.

The cabin case also meets strict EasyJet size rules, meaning you won’t be hit with unexpected fees at the gate.

The budget airline only allows one small bag per passenger on board and it must measure no more than 45cm x 36cm x 20cm, handles and wheels included.

The bag must also weigh less than 15kg and fit under the seat in front of you.

Anything bigger will need to go in the hold and that’ll cost you extra at the airport.

Lidl is selling a £4 pool must-have for your summer holiday & it’s £8 cheaper than a John Lewis version

FROM sunny holidays to daily trips to the local pool planned, there’s no better way to cool off this summer than taking a dip.

With a budget-friendly buy from the Lidl middle aisle, you can enhance your swimming experience even further.

This handy item makes your pool time more relaxing, and it can be easily thrown into your towel bag this summer.

If you enjoy floating on your back and lapping up the sun, this buy may be for you.

The Blue Crivit Water Hammock is available for just £3.99 from the middle aisle.

It is described as a “comfortable lying surface made of soft mesh for cooling off in the water”.

Simply inflate the two roll-up air chambers on either side and lie back and enjoy.

This hammock is designed to be “flexible and comfortable” when used in water.

And you don’t have to worry about your other pool items prodding the hammock in your bag as it comes with one repair patch.

The maximum weight for users is 100kg while the hammock measure 120 cm by 72cm when inflated.

As with most middle aisle buys, this item comes with a three-year warranty.

Water hammocks have proved a popular summer accessory, with John Lewis also jumping on the trend.

However, the Swim Essentials Inflatable Water Hammock with Tropical Leaves is slightly pricier, at £12.

Be sure to use these inflatable buys in pool settings only or under supervision.

Flotation devices can be dangerous when used on open waters as currents can cause unnoticed drifting.

The water hammocks are recommended for children aged six and older.

You can also pick up a budget buy from Home Bargains that will keep your children entertained in the pool all summer.

Swimming safety advice

Experts have revealed some of their top advice for both adults and kids heading to the water this summer:

How to stay safe at the beach

Gareth Morrison, Head of Water Safety at the RNLI said: “If you find yourself being swept out to sea in a rip, try to relax and float until you are free from the rip and you can then swim to safety.

“If you see someone else in danger, alert a lifeguard or call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.”

How to stay safe at the swimming pool

Tiny Hearts Education, former paramedic and CEO Nikki Jurcutz said: “Always put your little one in bright or contrasting colours that would be easy to find in an emergency.

“It only takes 20 seconds to drown, little tips like this could save a life”.

An Auqabliss spokesperson added: “Swimming toys such as noodles, dive rings, floaties and beach balls can be dangerous if left in the pool.

Children may try to grab these from the pool’s edge and fall in.”

How to stay safe at a waterpark

Ali Beckman, Puddle Ducks Technical Director, said: “Never send a child down the slide on their own, not only are they going to be entering the slide pool area independently, they then have to exit the pool and wait for an adult.

“And wave pools should be avoided until your child is really confident with water going over their faces and you know they are able to regain their feet independently.

Waterparks are often very busy places and it’s easy to lose sight of a child in a split second.”

Remember to compare prices

It is important to remember to always shop around when buying something like this as you might find a cheaper alternative.

Websites like Trolley and Price Spy let you compare thousands of products across different retailers to find the best price.

Price Spy even lets you see how much an item has cost over time, so you can see if the current price is a good deal.

A quick scan on the Google Shopping/Product tab will also bring up how much retailers are selling a certain item for.

Shoppers race to Asda as bargain flamingo trees are on sale – they grow super fast & add instant privacy to your garden

GARDEN lovers are rushing to Asda to snap up flamingo trees that will add instant privacy to your garden.

With summer now upon us, and the Met Office predicting glorious days ahead, many of us are likely planning to spend lots of time relaxing in the garden.

However, there’s nothing worse than sitting outside with a glass of wine and a good book, only to realise that your nosy neighbour is peeking at you over the fence.

Putting up a large fence around your garden may seem like the obvious choice to keep away prying eyes, but this can be expensive – and can sometimes lead to disagreements with neighbours.

For a simple solution, flamingo trees grow tall and quickly, meaning that they will easily shroud your garden from prying eyes.

Salix trees, which are more commonly known as flamingo trees are native to the UK and are popular due to their bright pink foliage, which is a similar shade to the flamboyant birds they are named after.

This makes them perfect for adding a splash of colour to your garden, whilst also ensuring your outdoor space is shrouded from prying eyes.

Eagle-eyed shoppers recently spotted the elegant trees on sale at Asda.

One garden lover, posting in the Extreme Bargains UK Facebook group said: “Salix Flamingo Trees are £13 At Asda.”

Alongside the post, the shopper shared a picture of the puffy pink trees on display at the popular supermarket.

Flamingo tree fans raced to the comments section of the post, to share their delight at the discovery.

One person said: “I bought one a couple of years ago it is still looking good every year.”

A second person said: “I bought three this year!”

A third person, tagging a friend said: “These are the ones I was on about.”

And Asda isnt’ the only store that’s stocking flamingo trees this summer.

Hawk-eyed bargain hunters recently spotted the sought-after plants on sale at B&M for just £10.

How to create privacy in your garden

CREATING privacy in your garden can be achieved in a number of ways depending on your budget, and the size of your space. Here are some effective ways to enhance privacy in your garden:

1. Fencing

  • Install a tall, solid wooden or vinyl fence. This is one of the most straightforward ways to gain immediate privacy. Or use lattice panels, trellis, or slatted fencing to add a decorative touch while still offering privacy.

2. Hedges and Plants

  • Fast-growing evergreen shrubs or trees like Leylandii, Thuja, or Bamboo along the boundary of your garden can help with privacy. Grow a dense hedge using plants like Boxwood, Privet, or Laurel. It may take time to grow, but it provides a natural and green privacy screen. Use climbers like Ivy, Clematis, or Wisteria on fences or trellises to create a lush, green privacy barrier.

3. Outdoor Curtains

  • Hang outdoor curtains around pergolas, gazebos, or patios for an easy-to-adjust privacy solution.

4. Sound Barriers

  • A water fountain or small waterfall can help drown out noise, adding to the sense of privacy. Or install fencing designed to reduce noise if privacy from sound is also a concern.

People couldn’t believe their eyes after a fellow Flamingo Tree fan let everyone know in a Facebook group, Bargain Lovers, they were being sold for the cheapest price yet.

Delighted users started commenting and tagging their friends in.

One person wrote: “That’s a great price they are lovely shrubs so pretty.”

Meanwhile, another added: “Love these, £10, right bargain.”

And The Range is currently selling the trees for the slightly pricier cost of £14.99.

The chain advised shoppers via a Facebook post: “Flock to stores before these fly away!”

Delighted users swarmed the post with one person writing “I love these” and another adding “I need these for my garden”.

Man Utd make lowball opening transfer bid for Bryan Mbeumo with Brentford star demanding £250k-a-week to sign

MANCHESTER UNITED have launched their opening bid for Bryan Mbeumo – but it is under Brentford’s asking price, reports say.

Ruben Amorim – who led United to a club-worst 15th place Premier League finish last season – is looking to bolster his attack.

Already, Matheus Cunha will arrive from Wolves for £62.5million after the Red Devils reluctantly met his release clause.

And now Brentford’s versatile forward Mbeumo – capable of playing out wide or through the middle – is their next target.

According to The Athletic, United submitted an opening offer of £45million plus £10m in add-ons.

But that is said to be below Brentford’s asking price – with negotiations ongoing to strike an agreement.

Mbeumo has a year left on his contract at the Gtech Community Stadium — plus an option to extend by 12 months.

But he is pushing for a move to Old Trafford despite interest from the likes of Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Although the French-born Cameroon international is believed to be demanding wages of £250,000-per-week.

That is FIVE TIMES the weekly £50,000 salary he currently earns.

Mbeumo joined Brentford from French club Troyes in 2019 and enjoyed a breakout season over the last 12 months.

The 25-year-old scored 20 goals and eight assists as Brentford finished tenth in the table.

United are in the market for forwards this summer after registering just 44 league goals last term.

They missed out on striker Liam Delap – who instead joined Chelsea – but were handed a boost in Bruno Fernandes committing his future.

United’s captain rejected an approach from Saudi side Al-Hilal – which would have seen him earn a three-year tax-free deal worth £200million.
