A BEAUTY queen charged over the death of her newborn baby is said to have made a chilling confession to cops when she was being interrogated.
University student Laken Snelling, 21, is accused of hiding her child in a closet.

The baby was found wrapped in a towel and had been placed in a black garbage bag, according to cops.
Snelling, a senior student at the University of Kentucky, was arrested on Sunday and made a harrowing confession to cops.
She had her rights read to her before telling cops that she had given birth.
Snelling, who has been part of the university’s stunt team for the past three seasons , also admitted she tried to hide evidence of the birth, according to a police report seen by the NBC affiliate WLEX-TV.
She said she cleaned potential evidence and hid everything in the garbage bag.
Cops are continuing to probe how Snelling’s baby died. Their investigation remains ongoing.
Snelling appeared in court on Tuesday. The blond cheerleader was seen with her head stooped throughout the hearing.
She has been accused of covering up the birth of a child, tampering with evidence, and abusing a corpse.
Snelling has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
She was released from jail on Tuesday and has since been placed under house arrest.
Snelling must live with her parents, who live in Jefferson City, Tennessee. The city is located around 200 miles from where Snelling’s university in Lexington.
She is set to appear in court next on September 26.
Snelling’s TikTok account is peppered with content from her time at university.
Her last post came on June 25, where she teased her lifetime goals.
She shared an emoji of what appears to be a mother cradling a baby.
And, she posted another emoji that seemed to hint at a family.
Snelling also seemed to tease a future engagement and expressed a desire to be a homeowner.
She also promoted beauty contests in Tennessee that children could take part in.
And, the student also shared pictures from concerts and trips to cities such as Nashville.
Kentucky has one of the strictest abortion laws in the US.
Abortions are banned in the state unless the mother’s life is at risk.
This so-called trigger law came into effect when Roe v Wade was overturned by the US Supreme Court in 2022.
State lawmakers have recently backed a bill that provides an extra layer of clarity to the medical exceptions that permits an abortion.
