Beloved fast food joint caught ‘making fun’ of McDonald’s $5 deals after it rolls out ‘$4 Unbeatable’ menu

IN a bold move, Rally’s and Checkers has cheekily poked fun of McDonald’s $5 deal, by sharing their own cheaper alternative.

The food chain shared how they have “dinner, dessert, AND a drink for just $4” and called their deal “unbeatable.”

They then lined up their food option next to McDonald’s in playful rivalry, to claim their offer is more appealing.

In the Rally’s and Checkers deal, you get the “choice of Cheese Double with more than ¼ lb of beef or Spicy Chicken.”

However, they then compared it to “that place with the arches” – meaning McDonald’s – and said theirs has the “choice of smaller double cheeseburger or ordinary chicken sandwich.”

Next, they mentioned their sides, and said they have “famous seasoned fries”, whereas the competitor has “same ol’ fries.”

They added that their deal includes apple pie, but McDonald’s deal has no dessert, just nuggets.

Social media lit up after the joint’s official account posted the side-by-side comparison of the deals.

Some praised the value-packed options, while some say the jab at McDonald’s was a spicy touch.

One food lover commented on Facebook: “Rally’s making fun of McDonald $5 deals.”

Another wrote about the deal: “Rallys tasted better just wasn’t enough.”

However, one said: “Honestly I’d take a 4 piece nugget over an apple pie.”

A second agreed: “I’d rather have nuggets than those dry ass Apple pies.”

Whether it’s marketing genius or just good old-fashioned competition, diners are loving the heat.

Fast food chain Rally’s was founded in Tampa, Florida, in 1985 and quickly gained popularity for its juicy burgers, signature seasoned fries, and affordable pricing.

In the late 1990s, Rally’s merged with Checkers, another drive-thru chain with similar offerings.

While both brands operate under the same parent company, they retain their original names in different regions.”
