Petco is expected to close the stores by the end of 2025, meaning pet owners need to take note of what might happen in their area.
These closures come as the chain fell 2.3% to $1.5 billion in the second quarter of this year.
It is the second largest pet supplier in the states only after PetSmart.
Petco’s CEO Joel Anderson said last month: “As we look ahead to the remainder of this year, we will continue to execute on our objectives while also leaning into select targeted investments that we believe will help set the stage for a return to sustainable profitable growth.”
