A POPULAR convenience store chain is opening a location that will be a first-ever for consumers in one state.
Some have warned that it will be nearly impossible not to head to the new spot with its affordable food and gas.

Many Americans nationwide recognize the Buc-ee’s name and logo with a beaver of the same name in a red baseball cap.
The mega convenience store/gas station combo company was founded in 1982 in Texas and quickly expanded nationally.
Currently, there are over 50 Buc-ee’s spread across Alabama, Florida, Colorado, Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Missouri.
Buc-ee’s expansion continues this year in Mississippi, per The CSP Daily News.
The company started the build back in September 2023 and will finally open it for business to customers in Pass Christian along the coastline on June 9 of this year.
It stands at 74,000 square feet and will feature all the traditional offerings inside the store, including Texas barbecue and the Beaver Nuggets.
Also included are 126 gas pumps, 24 electric vehicle charging stations and 165 toilets.
CALCULATED MOVE
Stan Beard, director of real estate for Buc-ee’s, noted that the new location was decided on carefully, and it should rest perfectly between stores in Texas and Alabama for customers.
“Harrison Country is a vibrant community with five thriving cities and stunning beaches,” Beard said in a statement.
“It’s perfectly situated along I-10 between our Texas and Alabama stores, and we can’t wait to be the best place to stop on the Mississippi Coast.”
Longtime fans of Buc-ee’s that live in Mississippi are overjoyed at the opening on June 9.
“It’s not just a convenience store. It’s an experience. After the first one you’ll find yourself stopping at every Buc-ee’s from now until you die!” an enthusiastic consumer exclaimed in a Facebook thread.
“I’m a Mississippi native & I love Buc-ee’s,” another wrote.
“Great. Now I want a brisket burrito and beaver nuggets,” a third added.

Someone else emphasized the “cheap gas,” claiming it’s always at least 10 to 15 cents less at Buc-ee’s compared to other top gas stations.
OPENING SEASON
Mississippi also isn’t the only new state Buc-ee’s is coming to.
On June 30, the first-ever Buc-ee’s in Virginia will also open, per a post on Facebook.
Another store will be available in Brunswick, Georgia, about 79 miles due south of Savannah, later this summer.
According to Buc-ee’s website, another spot in Texas is also planned for 2026.
Arizona and North Carolina locations are also in the works, per Fox affiliate WTVT.
Other competing convenience stores have also made some major moves recently.
Wawa, which has been dubbed the “best” chain by some customers, is making a $1.2 billion investment to grow its footprint to around 1,800 stores.
The CEO of 7-Eleven also confirmed plans at the end of last year to open 600 additional “food and beverage forward” stores.
