Good morning KELOLAND! A little rain has developed in central SD this morning near Miller. You can see the evidence below in this picture taken around 6:45am.

Our Huron LIVE Doppler has been tracking this activity. Most of it is pretty light.
A hot forecast is ahead for Sioux Falls today. We’ll be close to 90 late this afternoon, which would tie a record high.

You can see the widespread heat on Futurecast below with highs in the mid 80s to near 90 today. Don’t forget about the chance of some isolated t-showers in the Black Hills this evening. We expect that rain chance to stay very isolated, however. Temperatures look a bit cooler in Sioux Falls tomorrow, but much of the week will stay way above normal.
South winds will contribute to the warm weather this week. Winds will be breezy at times through the week.
Is fall weather anywhere to be found? Well, a cold front will try to move into KELOLAND by the start of the weekend. If that happens, a few scattered showers and t-storms could develop, but the above average temperatures may continue. There is support behind colder air rolling south sometime next week, but the timing still looks questionable.
Here are the details of the forecast.
