The unidentified teen from Cairo, Egypt, passed away shortly after his sickness started to cause concerns for his family.
It was first feared that the noodles had been poisoned or could have been tainted before the boy consumed them.
Police even questioned the shopkeeper who sold them to the teen over concerns he didn’t adhere to the proper safety standards.
Testing and an autopsy on the boy later confirmed that the products were not laced.
He death is believed to have been a result of acute intestinal problems or digestive obstruction from eating a large quantity of raw noodles.
Uncooked noodles are feared to cause severe dehydration and intestinal blockages if eaten.
But despite the health concerns there has been a spike in cases of people eating raw instant noodles since a viral social media trend emerged.
The disturbed “Eat Ramen Raw” videos have amassed millions of views in recent months with people – often the younger generations – tucking into the carbohydrates.
It comes after social media users noticed the noodles are pre-cooked meaning they are technically allowed to be eaten despite manufacturers urging all shoppers to follow cooking instructions.
A similar shock death occurred when a man ate a bowl of reheated pasta in tomato sauce.
The 20-year-old, known as AJ, suffered near-identical symptoms to the Egyptian teen as he had a headache, stomach pain and several bouts of vomiting.
AJ, from Brussels, Belgium, fell asleep at around midnight and was found lifeless in bed by his devastated parents several hours later.
An autopsy later revealed he had suspected food poisoning caused by the bacteria Bacillus cereus.
The bacteria spread to the pasta after it was left a room temperature for several days before being consumed.
It comes as fears are continuing to rise over poisoned food across the globe.
Two people died earlier this month after consuming a toxic batch of guacamole.
The fatally contaminated avocado dip was served up to unsuspecting customers at a food festival before they showed signs of botulism.
Another two people in Italy died after eating a toxic veggie and sausage sandwich.
More than a dozen people were hospitalised after eating the poisoned sandwiches from a food truck near the town of Diamante in Calabria.
Tamara D’Acunto, 45, died shortly after eating the panini made with turnip greens – a vegetable similar to broccoli – last week.
Luigi Di Sarno, 52, also died after taking a fatal bite from a sandwich bought from the same vendor.
