Diamond Tankard, 21, was charged on Saturday with theft of property and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, reported USA Today.

The former reality TV star appeared on Bravo’s Thicker Than Water: The Tankards.

Diamond is the granddaughter of multimillionaire gospel producer Ben Tankard – whose life was documented on Bravo alongside his blended family for three seasons, from 2013 until 2016.

They described themselves as the “Black Brady Bunch,” and their family motto was, “God wants us all to be millionaires,” wrote TV Guide in 2013.

Diamond was arrested by Nashville police after they were called to a Walmart store in Antioch, Tennessee, on July 18, said USA Today, citing Davidson County court records.

The documents described Diamond striking a customer with a sock filled with rocks.

The victim alleged that while was at the self-checkout, Diamond “came from behind, grabbed her by the hair (and) began to assault her,” according to the probable cause affidavit.

Diamond was accused in the filings of taking the woman’s $1,500 iPhone 14 and her $900 Louis Vuitton handbag. She then dashed from the store.

Nashville EMS took the victim to hospital for stitches after her forehead was cut, above her left eye.

The shopper’s grandma – who was at the store of the time of the incident – alleged to police that Diamond had struck the woman with a sock filled with rocks.

Walmart’s security video confirmed the victim’s complaint and her grandmother’s recollection of the attack, according to the affidavit.

The court documents added, “Based on training and experience and the CCTV footage, officers formed the opinion (that) Ms. Tankard used a blunt object to strike (the victim).”

She appeared in Bravo reality TV show Thicker Than Water: The Tankards.

The show was about a blended Christian family of nine, and their luxurious lifestyle in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Dubbing themselves the “Black Brady Bunch,” the show documented their wealth, drama, conflicting personalities, and big egos – amid plenty of shouting.

At the heart of the show was multimillionaire patriarch Ben Tankard, a gospel artist and former pro-basketball player, and his wife, Jewel.

Their family motto was “God wants us all to be millionaires.”

The show featured their luxury vehicles, private planes and a palatial home.

Bravo – which aired the show for three seasons, from 2013 until 2016 – approached Ben and Jewel after spotting their funny family videos on YouTube.

Child star Diamond was billed as the “entertainer of the family” and “a blossoming fashionista who adores fashion design, dancing and modeling.”

She’s the daughter of (Ben’s daughter) Brooklyn Tankard – dubbed “Queen Brooklyn” as she loved to be the center of attention.

The New York Post said that a witness’s video of the incident showed Diamond, dressed in a pink shirt and camo pants, pulling the victim by the hair before repeatedly punching her while she was on the floor.

She was also allegedly seen taking out a striped tube sock and striking the other unnamed woman in the face.

The clip showed Diamond wearing an ankle monitor as blood dripped from her victim’s forehead on to the floor.

After being arrested, Diamond was booked into the Davidson County jail.

She was given a $25,000 bond, which she has since posted, according to inmate and court records.

Diamond will next appear in court on August 22.

The U.S. Sun has contacted her grandfather for comment.

ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE

Her arrest comes seven months after she was charged with attempted first-degree murder.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department said last December that Diamond allegedly intentionally struck a woman with her vehicle on November 29, 2024.

It followed an “argument which turned physical” after the “victim got out of a car and attempted to break up a fight.”

Diamond approached a vehicle being driven by a woman and her sister – who had been at a bar – and asked about a man, said cops.

“After the victim’s sister told Tankard, no, she did not know him, they got into a subsequent verbal argument which turned physical,” according to police.

It’s alleged that Diamond then “got into her Range Rover, drove to the end of the street, and turned around accelerating at a high rate of speed before striking the victim, 30 who sustained critical injuries.”

The force added: “At the time of the incident, Tankard was wearing an ankle monitor, for an out of county domestic assault-related arrest, that placed her at the scene.

“Additionally, she is charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving injury and failing to render aid.”
