Burger King launches brand new Whopper designed by fans after fast food chain asked diners for their dream menu


A NEW Whopper design has been launched at Burger King, and it’s completely designed by fans.

The fast food giant asked diners what their dream menu would be, and now they’ve brought it to life.

On July 15, Burger King is welcoming the latest Whopper creation to menus, as a part of its “Whopper By You” campaign.

Whopper By You asks fans to submit their dream Whopper creations, with the chance that it could be enjoyed by diners all over the country.

The newest creation dropping is the BBQ Brisket Whopper, which features a slow-cooked BBQ brisket with crispy onions, American cheese and barbeque sauce.

This is layered onto a flame-grilled beef patty with lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise.

The launch date was announced on social media with the simple caption: “Your chance to inspire our menu is here”.

This isn’t the first time that Burger King has asked fans to submit their own creations, either.

In February, Burger King ntroduced the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper as part of Whopper By You.

This was  a combination of steakhouse essentials like crispy onions, bacon, Swiss cheese, creamy peppercorn aioli, lettuce and tomato.

COFFEE CREATION

More chains are reaching out to fans for inspiration for their latest menu additons.

Starbucks has now launched a similar competition to find the newest coffee flavor.


Fans have already been informally doing this since 2011, taking to social media to share their coffee ideas.

The informal secret menu has previously included a Cake Batter Frapuccino and a Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookie Frapuccino.

The customizations range in difficulty and are often there to encourage fans to try making them for themselves at home.

Until now, these custom coffees were only fun fan additions on forums, and would never come to menus at actual Starbucks locations.

Fast Food meal deals

Here are some of the current value meals offered by popular fast food joints.

Taco Bell’s $7 Luxe Cravings Box:

  • Beefy Five-Layer Burrito
  • Double Stacked Taco
  • Chips and nacho cheese sauce
  • Medium drink

McDonald’s $5 Meal Deal:

  • McDouble or McChicken sandwich
  • Four-piece Chicken McNuggets
  • Small fries
  • Small soft drink

Wendy’s $5 Biggie Bag:

  • Junior Bacon Cheeseburger or Crispy Chicken Sandwich
  • Four-piece chicken nuggets
  • Junior fries
  • Small soft drink

Burger King’s $5 Your Way Meal:

  • Whopper Junior, Chicken Junior, or Bacon Cheeseburger
  • Fries
  • Four-piece chicken nuggets
  • Soft drink

But Starbucks has finally embraced the concept, and from July 14 to July 20, is inviting fans to submit their coffee creations.

Four finalists will be selected in August and will have their coffees feature on the official Starbucks app.

They will also each receive $5,000 for their efforts.

Them a winner will be decided via an Instagram poll, and a whopping $25,000 prize will be awarded.

Starbucks is going a step further, and has added a secret menu under the “Offers” tab on the app.

There, Starbucks has added an initial four new drinks: Cold brew that tastes like cookies and cream, an upgraded Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Refresher, Iced Black Tea Lemonade with raspberry-flavored pearls, and an Iced Brown Sugar Shaken Espresso with a white chocolate mocha twist.

Starbucks has confirmed that more coffees are on the way.
