She has not played in the league since July 15.

The 2024 No1 pick has been limited to just 13 regular season games in 2025.

Clark has been struggling with a groin injury all year.

It is just her second campaign in the WNBA.

The 23-year-old revealed the news on social network site X.

“I had hoped to share a better update, but I will not be returning to play this season,” she said.

“I spent hours in the gym every day with the singular goal of getting back out there, disappointed isn’t a big enough word to describe how I am feeling.

“I want to thank everyone who had my back through all the uncertainty.

“This has been incredibly frustrating, but even in the bad, there is good.

“The way the fans continued to show up for me, and for the Fever, brought me so much joy and important perspective.

“I am so proud of how this team has only gotten stronger through adversity this year.

“Now it’s time to close out the season and claim our spot in the Playoffs.”

Clark was forced out of the WNBA 3-point contest earlier this year.

She also missed the whole of the All-Star weekend in July.

The basketball ace was set to be a team captain.

An injury to her right groin ruled her out.

She picked it up in the final minute of the Fever’s win over the Connecticut Sun.

Clark has not returned since that clash on July 15.

She is by far the biggest name in the WNBA.

It is a huge blow to the league, and its TV viewing figures.

The former Iowa star also missed time with a quad problem this year.
