Caitlin Clark parties at nightclub just hours after pulling out of WNBA All-Star game with groin injury

CAITLIN Clark partied through the night just hours after announcing her decision not to participate in the WNBA All-Star game due to an injury.

The Indiana Fever superstar re-aggravated a groin injury this week and was spotted having a night out ahead of All-Star weekend.

Clark will captain one of the teams for Saturday’s All-Star game.

And the 23-year-old welcomed her fellow WNBA stars to Indianapolis, where she plays for her Fever.

Clark and other WNBA big names were spotted at the INVY nightclub for the All-Star Champagne Launch Party.

The two-time All-Star appeared at the event just hours after she revealed she wouldn’t compete in the All-Star festivities.

Clark also won’t take part in the 3-Point Contest on Friday.

The guard suffered her latest injury late during Tuesday’s win over the Connecticut Sun.

Numerous videos showed a joyous Clark who found her way behind the DJ booth at one point.

Clark was also captured getting hype and yelling out “woo” when rapper Waka Flocka Flame’s Groove St. Party played on the speakers.

She linked up with Minnesota Lynx guard Courtney Williams during the outing.

During a sequence, Clark’s Fever teammate, star forward Aliyah Boston, was seen sneaking the Iowa Hawkeyes product’s drink out of her way after noticing the pair were being videoed.


Clark’s action-packed night came just hours after the Fever announced in a statement that she wouldn’t compete in the All-Star Game and 3-Point contest.

The statement came from the 2024 Rookie of the Year Clark herself.

“I’m so excited for Indy to host WNBA All-Star this weekend. I want to thank the Indianapolis Host Committee and all of the people that have put endless work in over the past year to put this event together. I know this will be the best All-Star yet,” the statement read..

“I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-Point contest or the All-Star Game.

“I have to rest my body.

“I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I’m looking forward to helping Sandy (New York Liberty coach Brondello) coach our team to a win.”

Clark has missed a total of 11 games due to numerous injuries, including a left groin injury and a left quad strain.

She missed Wednesday’s loss to the New York Liberty.

She has averaged 16.5 points, 8.8 assists, and five rebounds per game in 13 appearances.
